loved that sylvan won the vote. The elves are an ancient race, they deserve a place in every story regarding Heroes of Might and Magic ;>

my words may have been to harsh, but i see I am not the only one who feels that way, it is a shame we get to decide important things when it is a bit too late. Hope the devs learn from their mistakes and introduce the work to be discussed at earliear stages.  Nevertheless I love the game, and most certainly pre-order it ^^

I think that in first year they were struggling w-th the engine, prepaaring concepts, music and so- so generally prepared fundaments and technical background
so I would not say that the fans have been involed late- especially that th votes that were given to us arequite important:
- 2 factions out of 4
- 2 units out of 6 concepts
- 2 ts out of 4 offered
- and background of those
Imo it is quite a lot 
If we would have to decide about more things- the developement would take much longer... maybe with M&M: heroes 8 it will be different.
I am completely satisfied as it is

While I did not take part in the voting, I think Sylvan needed to return to the franchise - they seemed pretty irrelevant throughout whole Hammers of Fate and Tribes of the East, despite being heavily involved in vanilla campaign. While it is, I believe, explained as the elves being weakened after the war, I think it does not justify Biara not trying to take advantage of this weakness.

Well you know what? Me too! But I just happen to love Sylvan too much to vote them out!!
If I knew in advance we would get Bladedancer with Deer instead of Unicorn alongside Phoenix I certainly would have given my vote to Fortress, blindfolded!!!

You should have looked into the future like I did rampart/sorcerer is my favorite faction in the old games but I just had this feeling that if slyvan was gonna win we would get a h5 + CoH forest town and I was gonna hate it. Just like I wasnt a fan of he h5 slyvan. Did you like that one?

Seeing so many fans of Dwarves is truly heart-warming (you got it; warmth - fire, huh?  ) but to be honest I have no problem in seeing such lineup of elves back. Why? Mainly because of nostalgia reasons. Sylvan was the first faction with which I played any Heroes game, hence I have many fond memories connected to it. Of course, I miss Unicorns but I hope that Sylvan will finally get some more love, as it was treated very harshly in Heroes V - it had a significant presence only in the base game, so I hope to see more of it.

I think they completely spat on slyvan in h7. They put in little to no effort with creating new units (deer,snake,elf knight  ). You open up the M&M portal and see a Lynx riding unit, where was that? No Pegasus, hippogryph, satyr. So many great possibilities and they go with splitting a unit and its upgrade (dryad, pixie) into two separate units.....
And the option to pick out of two champions, is a great way to bring back classic champs like the phoenix, like they did with hydra, bone dragon, and paladin. plus the green drag losing it's wings should have sealed the deal on the phoenix.
Even if you don't like the Phoenix, the lack of creativity with the new units should be clear, or at least noticed.

Personally I liked it back when sylvan was the Sorceress faction from H2, the elf thematics of the following games never appealed to me.

really wished to see how and why demons would help Ivan and how they would end up joining his council, too bad stupid dungeon won the vote. Anyone have any ideas or speculations under what sircumstances demons would help him take the throne? Just interesting :/
