new Unity campaign for H4

At Celestialheavens.com it was the hope of a fellow fan, that the new H7 Unity campaign would be made for H4, which it was intended for. I love the idea, but I'm curious as to whether there's any interest for the campaign being re-made for H4.. What do you think?
Is it likely to be played and/or supported by enough fans to actually make it worth the process?

Licensing? Money? Ubisoft's approval?
The idea is good, but rather skeptical it'll ever happen.

I am sure that this is easy to fix by reinstalling/compatibility settings.

new Unity campaign for H4

H4 runs quite stable on both win 7 & 8 for my part. I have read issues with win 10, but as suggested I think several ppl. found that comparability could do the trick. I don't worry about getting sued, I doubt they'd see it as a pirated competitor to their H7. Hopefully they'd approve it, but most likely I suspect UbiSoft to simply ignore it. Not sure if the dev's would take much notice of it either, but that wasn't the discussion. I want to know if there's an interest for it among the users of this forum. CH users seem more excited atm

Because CH users are accustomed to unfinished projects where they prefer to talk about for months instead of focusing on how to materialize.

In HC, which holds the majority of completed projects for Heroes games, people are used to advertising patterns and will instantly get it when some author's motivation is thin, therefore it starts by first asking to others if "should be done", or "if there is interest".

The bottom line is, if your work is top quality, there will ALWAYS be interest -or will create sudden interest, even for a half dead game as H4.

That logic makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

If CeletialHeavens was used to projects not being completed, then there would be ZERO interest or excitement in a new project being pitched. Why would anyone be interested if things never get completed?

You seem to have a lot of hate for H4, so why do you continue to post in H4 forums and threads?

If you have nothing to contribute, which you clearly don't, please refrain from posting. Thanks.

I was answering to his last observation: that there is no excitement in HC. Then I have no hate for H4, as modder I even spent 1 year to create H3 mods with H4 exclusive graphics, I think it says something. Then I was suggesting that, when you present something already done, even if at small percentage, people react. Experience talks.

But thanks for reminding me to remain far away from CH garbage; even when exported to HC it still remains arrogant.

There is no original maps as I heard. Ubi Lim created their own maps. We can do another reading campaign text.
I remain. There is no enemy here. Stop hateing.

The only one who is arrogant is you, which is why I had to respond. Your smug and haughty remarks remind me of someone else who has the same online personality as you. All I see from your posts is blah blah blah I think I'm so awesome look at me blah blah blah.

You're not.

Maybe you should learn how to read? Or at least double check before you write something rude. Here, let me help you:

Was I the same as this guy when I first joined? Think you should drop the sugar, son. Sal's more amazing than you could ever comprehend. The way I see it, he was making a fair point while you made an account just to pick a fight. The one who got personal was definitely you.

@Baronus, from what I've read 2 scripts were written for two H4 campaigns, but they were never released. I think we should stick with the stories written by Terry Ray.

@Salamandre this tread was meant to see if there is any interest for this project, before staring it. I don't quite follow your point about quality work automatically getting much attention. Ofcourse to some degree you could have a point that great work will often find a way to the top, but at the same time you mention unfinished projects, and to me this is linked with interest. At least for this project. 'So a lot of people don't play H4 any more, but if the campaign turned out be top quality, most of them would automatically return to H4 to play it'?? I don't quite get that logic.
Why make a quality campaign, if there's no interest for it??

well I'd say only make it if you yourself are interested in making it, never mind what anyone else thinks, outside interest can be a good motivator and for project like this community collaboraton would work well, but I don't think Heroes mapmakers have ever made their maps to serve people due to massive popular demand lol

then if people play your map, they play it, if not, then not, that's what all the people say, ridin high in April, shot down in May lol

I think people create mods to extend a game's life, by adding new content, open new possibilities, go deeper in mechanics and such. By any means I did not want to sound negative when I said "game half dead", but realistic, from an active gamer point of view. I also believe H3 is struggling on its last days, but it delays when people from here and there still design maps, mods or even expansions. If you look for people praise before you start a project, you will always be disappointed, because there will NEVER be enough people praising you to equal the immense energy you will have to spend into creating that campaign.

Thats why I know that only selfless motivation can help in this case, not others encouragements. A H4 campaign is much harder and longer to do than a H3 one. And I hope you can consider my comment as constructive, because I don't know what else could be.

I can only second Baronus. Stop the fighting.

I'm aware Salamandre had made some seemlingly impressive mod's for H3, but I do feel the comment about CH was unnessecary, even if it was said with a wink in the eye or not.
Would it seriously have made a difference, had I not asked, but simply stated that this would be a project of the future? Is that how HC users have to be approached? I would believe fans of H4 shared a common interest in H4, but apparently it takes no more than different community sites, to split fans.

I've just read Salamandre respons: "Then I was suggesting that, when you present something already done, even if at small percentage, people react. Experience talks."
So I'll clarify some things. I support Galaad's idea of making these campaigns for H4, but I'm not gonna do it on my own, hence I wanted to know if there's any interest in such a project. I would be willing to join the project, but wouldn't do it entirely on my own. As I have other time consuming projects, I would have to rely on the help of fellow fans. So this project would rely on other fans being willing to help out; several map makers, ppl. who could help writting down the story text, play test it etc.
And as this campaign is already available for H7, I don't take it for granted that there would be an interest for it for H4. THAT's why I asked.

LOL!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAAHAHH !!! ! HAHA HAH AHAHAHHAHAAH!!!!

Wow, get off his nuts, child. He's just a person. If the only way you have to make a point is by being rude to another person or people, then you don't actually have a point to make.

He might have done some nice things for H3, which I'm not in any way disputing, but that doesn't make him, or anyone else, someone to worship, nor does it - more importantly - give him the right to be rude to others and treat them poorly.

So open your eyes, son.

Back to the topic, as I stated in the CH forum, I'll likely be helping Karmakeld with this effort, even though we both have other projects we're currently working on.
