Somehow, someway Portugal squeezes through all the way to the semifinals. Despite not winning a single game in the Group Stage. Despite going to Extra Time in both knockout matches. They are a perfect example of playing "nothing" and still advance to the following round, I can see why people can dislike them

Oh boy. Vicente Del Bosque, who nevers talks snow about his players, giving a slap to Casillas attitude in the Euros. Grab the popcorn boys:
Del Bosque said:
"I don't usually do it, but this time I've sent a message to all the players thanking them" (...) The only player I haven't sent a message is Casillas, I feel bad that his relationship with the coaching staff hasn't been good (...) Casillas, with his teammates, has been perfect; with the coaching staff, so so"

Source

Also he's resigned as the Spanish coach, snowing finally

The weird thing is that at one point I swear I heard them chant Pogbas name as well for whatever reason...

But yeah, can't say that Portugal has won me over. Renato Sanchez is looking to be a great player but otherwise they are not a really attractive team with most of their "star" players on the wrong side of 30.

Wales in the semifinals of a 24-man EURO, this is awesome in so many ways

Belgium are the embodiment of perennial disappointment. So much talent, such little deliverance.

Ramsey missing the semis due to card accumulation will hurt Wales. Then again, Portgual haven't been impressive either so Wales definetly have a real chance.

Tomorrow Italy-Germany B O Y S ! ! !

Here I'm hoping for a 3-1 in favour of Italy

Game was rigged, Belgium should have had 2 penalties awarded, each at 2-1. Wales going to the top just reeks of a pre-made storyline.

It's true that Belgium should have been given a pen, but that won't change the fact that they played poorly all the game except for the first 20 minutes. Perhaps it should have gone to ET, but Wales deserved the victory no doubt.

Wales deserved that victory. I doubt that penalty would change anything.

They should have had the chance nevertheless. Outside forces taking it away from them is wrong, regardless of how the teams in question played.

No penalty imo. Wales played much better and deserved the victory, unlike Belgium...

I remember two instances where a pen could have been awarded: a handball (which in my opinion wasn't punishable - the ball hit the player arm while he was going down the floor to stop a cross, not the other way around) and an attack where one of Wales defender came late and accidentally stepped on a Belgium player foot. The last one was pretty clear, but I guess the ref didn't quite see it.

Belgium players were diving at the slightest excuse; ref saw that and decided all, let's say debatable decisions against them - correctly, imo, because that's how you SHOULD ref.

Wales was clearly the better team defensively, but with the personel missing defensively, the burden of defense would have had to be distributed to those great offensive players they have as well.

Imo, the "stars" didn't do enough to support and protect their shattered defensive, and on the other hand they stopped delivering offensively after the first goal.

But at least no Daniel De Rossi.
Not sure how Löw is going to try to break apart the Italy defense. Maybe they'll try to be the counterattacking team this time...

Everything we did right in the last two games we do wrong now. No movement, no speed, totally passive play. Pain to watch.
5 defenders, no wonder.
