Well, this is somewhat sexist, but Gootch you are demonstrating the cliches that give men a bad name. Ignorance, arrogance, and not paying attention.
I play many more games than H3, and particularily lately when I haven't played H3 at all, and only enough H4 to decide to wait for patch- but in other games with big online following women are growing in numbers and skill. I think H3 online community is very small, hell- any group I can think of half the people who play alot on zone is very small.
Try playing some of the other games where there are entire clans of women in fact I do believe it's been mentioned that in Starcraft an all woman clan has been at or near top of rankings for awhile.
One thing however that is important to understand is that it will be a long time before women equal numbers of men in online games. I don't know of any women from countries which supress women or at least don't encourage their competivness who are in ToH. I hope there is some, but pretty much it is a western liberalized tradition phenomenon.
As for Mah Jong- it just shows your hubris and ignorance to attribute all the thing you consider negative and weaker as coming from the domain of women, not withstanding that those women are slaves anyway. As if being forced to that shows their weakness. By the way, concubines didn't invent Mah Jong. You should look it up how it came about, it's an interesting story just like chess.

Mah Jong is an interesting game, as the most beautiful hand is often the highest scoring hand.. I play for all pungs of one suit, ones and nines, winds and dragons, with pair of my wind or of dragons... I'm a killer!!

Thanks for the history lesson Ichon. If I was to ask you what time it was, would you tell me how to build a clock?
I've enjoyed some friendly verbal sparring with the female memebers of HC on this post and other posts as well. I had not intended for the Sir Walter Raleighs to come out of the woodwork in defense of the 'fairer' sex.
You happen to be among the more eloquent of them. You can take heart in the fact that I'm not as boorish as these posts seem. They were humorous, nothing more.
By the way, I loved your use of hubris.

nah, actually I'd tell you
to go look up how to tell time, then refer you to philisophical references about the validity of time and if it really exists, then maybe ask you if you thought it's still worth it to build a clock. ;-)

I just happen to like women, but more than that I can't stand when people apply their own prejudices and paradigm to the entire world, at least accepting other people see htings differently rather than saying we all see things the same way, but some of us just want to be evil and not do the right thing, or in other words, agree with your own views.

First I'd like to say I hate sexism in all forms. It's the individual, not the gender, the age or anything else.
First I thought I'd say something harsh to you Gootch, for being so sexist, but now that you just said it was all humour and stuff, I guess I won't. Just wondering if you really meant some of the stuff... hope not, cause it sucked.
One thing got my attention well - what you said about women always choosing the Rampart town. I also like Rampart exactly for those reasons: it's really beautiful and the music is great. Romantic stuff you said, but what's wrong with guys being romantic? I sure am.
Anyway, no offense. Just keep in mind that someone may get pretty pissed at that kind of talk.
