E3 brings me despair, I genuinely feel like only the brain-dead can appreciate what they present. Next-gen graphics is totally wasted on lame ideas.

It seems (if you go by just what's on E3) there are only 4 types of games: post apocalyptic survival, cyberpunk with lasers and mutants, elder scroll type of fantasy and horror adventure. The titles are not important because the games are not distinguished from each other even if they're developed by different studios. Close your eyes and I bet you can even picture in your head what the art style, weapons, gameplay and even stories they're going to have. The graphics is getting better and better, mocap and particle systems more sophisticated, music too gives you the immersive vibe... but the games themselves are just BORING and FORMULAIC. I can prolly single-handedly count unique franchises that exist today, which now sadly exclude Heroes.

I keep thinking this is probably how adults work, at some point you just phase out of playing games due to how uninteresting and predictable they are. A part of me revolts, though. Damn it, I want to be an adult who keeps playing good, unique games, but the popular options really seem to be made for people who have too much time on their hand, who would grind in these archetypal worlds indefinitely.

I wouldn't want any of these soulless, pointless, profit-only corporations to take over Heroes (not that they'd be interested anyway). I am now convinced Heroes is better off sold to a small studio who can revitalize it (and to my hope- some part of the brain-dead gaming industry).

I had the same impression of Microsoft's presentation. It felt like one "quirky punk-ish shooter" after another. The exact same tropes but actually pretending like they have something original. A montage of various tattooed punks with mohawks spitting edgy lines with weird, flashy abilities. Wow, did this really become the standard for video games in 2019? Embarrassing. I'm inclined to agree on not wanting some bullsnow studio handling the M&M series; they'd just piss on it more with no respect to the source material. Put JVC back in charge of the series and let him form a team to continue it.

If Ubi failed twice in their attempts to exploit the name, they will have to change strategy. Such companys can be greedy, but not stupid.
Maybe a bright flash will push them or other companies to sale HoMM.

Here is all, what we need to do it

Twitch:
https://www.twitch.tv/ubisoft
Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKbKx2JHQ8s

Questions will be our weapon. What will they do with the franchise? When will they sell it?

For better coordination I'm preparing discord server so anyone can join the action.

"The Fate of Heroes"
There are a few hours left before the broadcast of Ubisoft. So, the moment of the action is nearing.
For better coordination of the participants' actions, we created a Discord server: https://discord.gg/aDCCfJr (the server is supposed to be multinational, so donít be surprised if you see another languages).
For those who want to help, but do not want or can not join Discord, here are the links to the broadcast:

If you want to help, you need to support the wave of questions to the Ubi on the stream. Keywords fo wave looks like:
1) #Fateofheroes
2) Ubi, what about HoMM?
3) HoMM is dead? Tell us truth, Ubi!
4) Sell HoMM if you cant handle it!
5) Roses are red,
Ubis are blue.
Are Heroes dead?

If you have any ideas or comments on this subject, write about it.

You know it's just going to be some social media intern modding the chat right? The only way to get their attention is if there are more people in the chat who will echo your sentiment. Otherwise it's going to go by super fast and your message is going to get drowned. We're talking about hyped teenagers here.

But go ahead anyways

Word of caution: I think pushing them to make a statement will not go anywhere, or not in the direction you'd want...

to be fair if Heroes had been stagnant after Heroes 4 or 5 instead of rush now think later to a published crap, it would have more clout to be done right than it does now as a diluted bargain bin bugware lol

anyway that is pointless, bear in mind erwin confirmed there is a snowball's chance in hell for the 'eroes 8 unless the Chinese market want that, in which event you will get a chinese 'eroes which may not be your vision cheers lol

The ideal HOMM game would be the one taking back the gameplay elements from HOMM6 and rebalancing overall !

Heroes 6 had a lot of flaws, but I agree with the sentiment. Looking at what the developers originally envisioned we could have gotten a tactical rich game that allows a great degree of customization.

Whether you like Dark Elves or not, I think the add-on really showed how different a faction can play with proper polishing and faction design. Having invisible units and powerfull spells like Shadow Implosion is objectively awesome.

I would put it this way: The ideal HOMM game would be close to what Black Hole envisioned originally. Before ubisoft enforced "limited resources, no townscreens, no academy etc.". A game where faction and hero bonuses are more unique and with a reputation system that is more fleshed out.

But in the end we got the best townxcreens of the entire series in HOMM6...

And when it comes to the reputation system, I always said it should be essentially ideologic/story oriented with low impact on the character development (statistics/characteristics) in the end...
