Best and Worst Creature Special Ability?

Which do you think are the most advantageous, as well as the most useless, creature special abilities/perks?

For instance, having familiars in your army will allow you to siphon 20% of mana from every enemy spell cast, arch mages reduce the amount of mana spent while casting, etc.

Best: Mighty Gorgons Death Stare (Killing Azure Dragons have never been this easy)
Runner up: Ghost Dragons Ageing (Ageing can be pretty terrifying, especially on your level 7 units)
Worst: Pikemens charge immunity. (Very situational)

Best: Azure Dragon's Fear. Sure, some creatures are immune to it, but that's really the only critizism one can say about it. It can completely shut down major stacks, and single-handedly just turn many battles to your favor that would normally be unwinnable.

Worst: I'm going to be an oddball and call Ice Elemental's Spellcaster ability (casts Protection from Water). School of water has the least threatning damage spells, so the protection is pretty bad to start with. Ice elementals can also shoot, so there really isn't an excuse of skipping turns by casting. Even if you're out of ammo or don't wanna attack or move for some reason, clicking the defence button should be the right call in almost all cases.

Best: Elf double shoot

Worst: Hates Efreeti. Not only extremely rare, but also basically if you put genie vs. efreet on hand to hand combat they will slaughtered to begin with.

It's no so bad if there are at least twice as many Genies than Efreetes. As Genies are 5th level and Efreetes are 6th level it's easier to build their dwellings until next week comes having weekly growth advantage or by external Altars of Wishes or by Arms of Legion. Also if Genies strike first because of situation on battlefield or are hasted because of Tower's Air Magic.

My bad, worst special ability is no doubt Crystal Dragons crystal generation, 1000 dragons will give you 3 crystals day one of each week.

some of the specials nominated for the "worst abilities" have made me laugh out loud (not joking).

Reading through this thread has reminded me of "specials" that I have totally forgotten about since the last time I've played this game an year ago, and seeing other people disliking the same garbage specials that I dislike was fun indeed

I'm referring here to the zombie's diseasing "special", to -1 luck for enemy, to familiar's mana siphoning ability (this ability is so useless that I can't even...), and also to air / storm / water / ice / fire / energy elemental's immunities / vulnerabilities. I mean, who the hell casts offensive spells on elementals? I'd rather buff my own army than cast magic arrow on air elementals (or even lightning bolt).

Anyway, since this thread has been revived and I haven't participated in it yet... here are my choices:

Best all-around ability: archangel's resurrection
Best situational ability: mighty moos' death stare
Worst ability: um.... I have no idea here.... there's more of them that are crappy at the same degree. I would put all these on the same spot if I could: zombie's disease, elementals' vulnerabilities, -1 enemy luck, pikemen jousting immunity, and familiar's mana drain shi...  I mean ability xD

snowing RIGHT! I have totally forgot about protection from water. I take back everything I have posted earlier and give my vote as the "worst special" to the "protection from water" special

It depends on situation.

On average I would say that vampire lords (both pvp, pve), black dragons/magic elementals (pvp) have the best abilities.

Worst could be pikemans immune to jousting...

To me, the worst special is the gold dragons immunity to lvl 1-4 spells. They can be imploded but not resurrected. It makes them immune to debuffs, but that basically means slow and rampart doesn't have an issue there, because they are fastest anyway (if you exclude conflux). However, they also don't get buffs, which actually hurts. And while gold dragons immunity would be good with armageddon, the rampart mage guild cannot have it. So unless you find a tome of fire, no armageddon.

While most of the mentioned useless specials are just useless, I think this one actually hurts. So I vote for gold dragons immunity as the worst special.

And the best might actually be the fire immunity of the phoenix. Fastest unit in the game, and immune to fire. I don't need to explain why that combo is OP, do I?

yes, you do have to explain why it's overpowered because if you play the game like I used to play (clearing the map for 12 months and at the end of month 12 me and my friend engage in one epic battle) armaghedon doesn't do snow against such large armies like we used to have. So, you actually do have to explain why that combo is overpowered.

But, if you play the game normally (when fights can happen as soon as day 2), then yes fire immunity on phoenixes could mean something.

But even so, fire immunity is a special that rarely justifies it's worth. In other words, it's a situational special, just like mighty gorgon's death stare (which is useless against necro), whereas black dragon's magic immunity or archangel's resurrection, or even ancient behemoth's 80% defense ignoring special... all these specials are useful all the time, so any of them is better than fire immunity

I don't know if it's the worst, but I agree no Resurrection, but vulnerability to Implosion is not good.
Like you said, yes you can cast Armageddon, if you can find somewhere to learn it. You could of course just try to max Resistance and Resistance artfacts and count on luck that your other units will resist Armageddon, but I'd rather avoid Resistance and try to get Orb of Vulnerability, so I can actually resurrect the poor goldies.
I just said it in another thread, but goldies should have been immune to level 1-3 spells or completely immune like Black Dragons.
