On templates with rich middle zone like jebus (the most played) +30% movement is ridiculous. It will allow you to get faster to the middle and get more from it than your opponent - and we all know whats in the middle - relics, utopias and creature banks
Once you loot 3 utopias in one day, right under your opponents nose, you start to appreciate the movement points properly - +100k gold and 10 relics for having just 1 day advantage.

So i think the hota nerf to logistics (+20%) is a good thing.

I guess we should really separate multiplayer/competitive vs casual/single player... It's like two different games. It was said by Fulton, h3 was not designed as an e-sport, is why there is all these changes in multi and hota...

@Galaad You can write your answer for single and multi then.
I guess you are sayng 30% for single, but 20% for multi.

HOTA should have 2 versions competitive - keeps all the nerfs/buffs and casual that revert all the nerfs/buffs back to their default values in SOD.

A lot of people think Logistics is overpowered which is really only half-true, at best. A much more accurate statement would be that Logistics is by and large the most universally useful skill of the whole lot, and so choosing it when offered is a no-brainer except under only the most extreme circumstances.

In a case like this, Logistics is best set to its minimum useful level because, given the ubiquity of its usefulness, anything more than that is just going to be overkill from a balance perspective.

(20% is fine)

Nicely put, pretty much agree on everything you said. It's likely even the "15% option" would be appreciated an picked a lot, if it had always been like that.

When 3D0 would be given 50%, you nerf 40%. Else your Logistics vs opponent Logistics, which comes first, he/she takes artifacts.

Example of Illusion world 2 (RoE) map. Where is Spellbinder's hat. The fastest is Blue, Tan, Green or Teal gets Spellbinder's hat. Imbalance? IDK, in there another place has Spellbinder's hat, for skilled. The way is easy vs hard. So all flags get Spellbinder's hat.

Now's 20%, so your Logistics vs oppinent Logistics, which comes first, but remember that opponent takes artifacts or your town, if you haven't TP. You're lost. You have a TP? Opponent has scout goes to artifact. The same as Illusion world 2, when the way is easy or hard, for skilled.

Yes, Phoenix!

Not only larger than Giant map but also smaller map, Baronus!

But Dirt, Grass, Lava, Subterranean and Highlands haven't Pathfinding penalty. What H4 has all Pathfinding level, therefore H4 Pathfinding skill gives +50%. But you can create ERM script in WoG/ERA. Very funny!

Highlands must none pathfinding does 125%, and then from basic to expert is 100%, for example, because Highlands have a mountain, water, and mound.

Remember HoMM has some information, and HotA Team gave a wrong info about Highlands.

I would say 25% would be good. Especially if Logistics, Pathfinding, Scouting and Navigation would be merged with logistic.

Dreaming? With ERM this is the most trivial thing to do (changing starting specs and skills), should not take longer than 30min.

It depends on how thoroughly they want to do it. You change the starting skills and the hero spec.

That would be enough for me already. You can now change the class of the hero and the portrait, et viola it is a new hero.

There is no online lobby and there is no competitive playing because everybody plays with his own set of rules and mods. Thats why it was created in the first place, to give the player the freedom to play as he likes.
The rest works good, hotseat and 2 player LAN/Hamachi are no problem. 3 players LAN/Hamachi currently does not work for some odd reason.
