Heroes III Fan Art Animation ( Angel main menu)

Hi guys!

I'm a big fan of HOMM3 and also I'm an animator! I didn't liked the static menu of the game so I decided to do this animation (with no commercial purposes just learning). Hope you like it

But too bad you did it on the Ubi cashgrab edition, nobody plays that version around here...

Well.. I choosed that version because it has the higher resolution image of the archangel to animate it I can remove the Title fonts and change it if needed

Amazing, only the fire effect could be closer to the original and it'd be perfect. Great job!

Alright, that's a cool touch to the main screen.

For modding, not sure if it's possible on Ubi's version. But we have an user named Salamandre around here, he's likely the guy to ask. He's been modding Heroes 3 for the past decade. You should try sending him a HCM.

Thank you Stevie! I have sent a PM to Salamandre right now. Let's see if it is possible or not

I want to add it to the normal version of Heroes III or to HotA, Ubisoft version I don't think allows mods but I don't really know

Would require a crapton of work, actual transparency doesn't exist in H3 to begin with. And well, I doubt Sal knows how to add it to regular H3 or HotA, unlike with ERA.

In any case, you could get MMArchive, Def tool and Def preview from here https://grayface.github.io/wog/, look at how the UI is done and then separate your animation's assets accordingly, although not sure how one could add an animated def background without plugin or hack work.

Great work! Absolutly the best Main menu of MM!
Orginal I think the best is Masters of the Elements. But World Tree and Bestmasters are great too.

Really cool!

Such a simple enhancement (I'm not saying technically) to make the game look even more attractive.

I just realized it would be a perfect enhancement for town screens with things like leaves/clouds moved by the wind etc...

Maybe someone will pick up that idea? It would be great.

Definitely sounds interesting, only looping it could be an issue, as well as making it "compatible" with the building backgrounds.

Thanks, I have looked at the files you suggested but honestly it overwhelms me.. Don't know how to use it or where to start ^_^u

so for now I think I will wait to look if someone with experience wants to collaborate with me to do it. If not, that is ok too, it was a fun animation tribute to one of my favorites games

I don't see any way to replace a pcx by some animated format, is exactly same dead end as replacing battlefields or mage guild increments with animated versions; the game is coded to process a pcx so probably you need reverse engineering and rewrite the whole thing.

For definitive answer I suggest you ask in russian forums
