Yeah currently China could take over the US in a conventional war so the US wants at least a minimal industrial base to pass over the next 20-30 yrs when the US has a larger pop.

That isn't why. Hardly anybody takes a conventional war with China seriously. And, like you mentioned, China is moving in the opposite direction it needs to be moving in if it wants hegemony some day.
It is just that Trump has a funky idea of economics and taxes. He said outright he likes the idea of removing a federal income tax entirely. Just use tarriffs for revenue. It is not remotely feasible to do that. It is fantasy.

Many foods, Blizzard! If I say meatloaf with cultivated mushroom sauce, you know white mushroom, you reply meatloaf is from eastern US.. So I must to say specialty: low fat milk, Karelian stew variety only used in beef strips, pepper and adding on cream, and then mashed potatoes.. Know what? We eat very different year-round foods.. But xmas, etc is always the same food.. So I choose Karelian stew variety, thus rare available.. Are you eat everyday hamburger and coca cola? So you can say the best easily.. We can't know, remember or have already been eaten.. Our menu is so many differents through month.. If haven't children, so visits market, in there a few foods alternatively.. It depends on place, where you live in city.. Yes many foods what I want to eat again, but ok low fat milk, mashed potatoes and Karelian stew variety..
