Wow...
I would like to start this post with thanking SubZero for his kind words. Its also very fun to see why you placed your bets as you did, those comments are a fun idea.
One thing that struck me today tho is the size that this thread has taken. Now we have almost 200 posts in this thread, and those posts arent just some one liners. Some of the posts in this thread are really good. 200 posts in less than 3 weeks, thats really fun to see. I didnt expect that much responce when i started this competition but i think its really fun too see that so many has becommen a part of it. It proves to me that there are some football interested ppl at this place after all
As for your suggestion SubZero i dont think i will follow it, i had in mind to be able to get more points from semi finals/final while guessing correct result but i thought that there really is no need for it. There are still 16 points to fight for, most ppl still stand a chance to win this even if the chance are bigger for some...
Thnx for the feedback tho, its always nice to see some ideas and i do take em under concideration even if i choose not to follow them.
As for my bets they will come soon...

Boring...
Should have known it...
Paraguay played that disgraceful all back defence game and got what they deserved.
Denmark was just firing blanks and England just hit it easily home.
Must say that these two games were really boring to watch and I truly would have like to see more lively football.

Next time im thinking about following my intuition...someone please tell me not too...
To me the whole danish defence were crap that game, Denmark had much more possession and England produced one good chance on their own whole game. That was the situation when Owen got the ball with some luck and made it 2-0. Except that, first goal comes from a corner which shouldnt have been a corner in the first place. Then they lack in man marking and Sorensen makes a joke out of himself. Third goal the danish defender should direct his header to a throw in instead of right into the field. Now Beckham stood in his way and served heskey with a pass, and Heskey´s shot wasnt anything extra either. Sorensen should have stopped it.
As for Germany game i really dont have much to say, lets just hope there will be better games than that one in play offs...

Well, England sure plays it in style... laying 8 men in defense against top seeded Denmark!
The first goal was an own goal by Sørensen.
The second was the only "real" goal of this game
The third was again, very weak performance by Sørensen
England held their team back so much that Denmark couldn't use the room behind the defensive line for their speedy wings. Tactically wise, sure, but not very entertaining.
And Germany, I really hate them, why, oh why do they always win these tight matches??

That match was only entertaining for anyone who were either from Denmark or from England. Just because they scored three times doesn't mean it was an exciting game. This is a point that many of you in the english speaking world (Great Brittain excluded) don't seem to get. Entertainment value lies not in the amount of goals scored.

We're not going home we're not going home.........
(I know this, I'm just glad England are through to the next stage. The goals were not exactly exciting but a win is a win is a win. And yes I'm from England, though I live in Australia, I go for Australia but they didn't make it as usual!!!! *boo hoo*)
