Only Elric and me played all 7 games and I have more points than Sir so it's all clear...bow and salute your master!!

I might just as well report this...
Djive plays RedSoxFan3: 2/0. Second game (I was to play white) was posthoned due to RedSoxFan3 had to leave.
Hmmm... still only gives me 6.5 matches.

Nice try but it's point based and 9 just doesn't cut the mustard.
Tournament #2 will be under way soon so you will have your chance at glory then. 
There will be some slight changes to the rules to stop the lack of games played in this tournament and a few other ideas.
Anyone with any other ideas to keep the games running more smoothly please post them here.

You´re right Athimus, in the 49th move you could have drawn, after my bad 47. ... f6. I even considered that stalemating motif, but dismissed it because I thought I could always go into a winning pawns ending. Well, I was in time-trouble, too  .
But before and after that mistake, the rooks ending was always winning for black. Your pawns efh against my pawns efgh, with your king cut off. Instead of f6?, I for example could have played 47. ... Kg6, and after 48.Ra4 Kh7 49.Rb4 g5 white can resign.
