oracle's
i would just like to post a warning to everyone about oracles possibly not being able to get the treasure. Sometimes the X is under a mine or under trees that make it unobtainable.
This is not cheating it happend 4 out of 30 tries for me, in a test case.

Meanwhile, until the bug is fixed, I suggest that map makers who use oracles, shouldn't use any blocking objects in the area of radius. They can still add scenery though, there are a lot of them, for example small rocks and vegetations won't block the squares.

Right!i suggest not to give monstruus rewards too, like boots of speed or 30k cause it transforms map into a ratrace for digging up first.
To the subject.Wether no X is a bug or not,it CAN be fixed on maps.Showdown for example:
X has radius 11 and is in a rather open area..still..
radius should be toned down to like '9' and the perimeter around it cleared up a bit..mountains,objects in its parafernalia moved some hexes out of X radius square.
Another great task for the map council...will they make it?

Maybe this comment is way off base, but if the X is not available then SO what????? I would think you should have a back up plan. If your whole entire strategy was based on obtaining the X, then I am sorry to say you deserve to lose.
On my map I am making I have added oracles, but the prize all be it strong wil not be game winner. It will ofcourse give a small edge, but the reward will not be worth banishing all other game plans to soely find the thing lol.
I suggest play the game and map normally, if you find the X, then great add it to your arsenal. If not then stick to Plan A.
Just some thoughts.
And another thought. Map council has enough work on serious matters. This is a bug that has been noting and brought to attention, I dont think it is map councils responsibility to edit each and ever map to try and solve a bug. Bug solving is 3DO's job. I would think a little more appriciation and little less expectation of Map COuncil would be in order.
