Well ok, but what would happen back in time if WoG formers said "sorry guys, but you can't play anymore Heroes regular maps on WoG"? So, now it goes LUA and all maps and mods done until now on 3.57/58 (a couple hundreds) will be incompatible with the new platform. Besides this, for programmers maybe it will be not so long to learn the LUA thing, but for others like me, starting from scratch and learn a new coding language is depressing.

I will create a thread if you give me the title you wish. Good luck.

Salamandre!

You are basically saying like "why people have found out how to create a car? everyone has already got used to horses/walking by foot etc"?

If something won't rush forward, then WOG will die. I already decided that I finish it. The only time will show us if the whole idea will be scraped or not.

I wanted to remove those things from Darkness Dragons (155).

But anyway, I wanted to know that in general... Because in ERM help there is no monster flag number for immune to all spells, fearsome and Attack and Return. I wanted to clear the Darkness Dragons from all those abilities.

OxFEA (or anyone), If you know how to do those three things in general please share.

Change their type to another creature (ie green dragon) when in battle. Also change the UN:G1 description, and after battle restore the original. It will not affect the stats but the abilities, I think.

In response to this LUA/ERM argument:

A great free game (The Battle For Wesnoth) had its own scripting language called WML. Later, they added LUA, but kept WML compatibility. Seems like a good solution, doesn't it?

I think it is too late. ERM = already too difficult for mapmakers, ERM + LUA , even more. No mapmakers = no game, no matter how much peps are scripting around and juggle with codes. Only a dozen of campaigns and a hundred maps could revive it and validate the need of new language. It is sad that ERM dissection became more important than Heroes creativity, while it was supposed only to support it.

Also I'm not a native English Speaker !!! please excuse me for wrong spelling !!!

I've been looking for that version of WOG that allows me to select a few specific Scripts in the WOG Option.

I'm looking to play again with the following scripts activated again :

Monster King --> In each battle against a stack of monster there will be one big though and hard to kill guy... man I love to fight an Ancient Behemonth King with almost 10k hp and 1k damage

Resource Gathering --> In each day one you get automatically the resources and gold from windmills, watermills, magical gardens ...etc... I kinda hate to have 10 heroes to I can take them to a walk between some mills...

I only play H3 impossible and 8XM8 .. but from some time I play using ColdShadow's Fantasy RMG for playing 1vs7 on 200%(me alone vs 7 AI on Impossible) ... is far better than 8XM8 and using the scripts from WOG to ban fly/DD and other annoying things I can really have a good time playing heroes against AI since I can't play against other players..


Can someone tell me what I must do to have those 2 scripts running on my version of WOG ?!

I really need the help and I thank you all !!

some idea to deactivate sorceress's spells?

MISFORTUNE, DISRUPTING RAY, DISEASE or WEAKNESS with 25% chance each

Pack of Sorceresses:
SLOW, CURSE or DISPEL with 20% chance each
MISFORTUNE, DISRUPTING RAY, DISEASE or WEAKNESS with 10% chance each

etc

I'm getting this strange bug when I use the "shooter script".

I used it to make multiple creatures shoot:

And it works... Well sometimes. Now and then, it doesn't work and before starting a battle with one of those creatures I get this message:

" Resource Manager: Get Sprite. Could not find the sprite resource."

And of course when the shooter creatures tries to shoot the game crashes. Is there anything I can do?

Kalu, your first question about sorceress is unclear to me. If you play with experience stack disabled, they will not have those abilities. If you play with experience enabled, then you need to clean their abilities slots.
For buildings ID the list is in the ERM help, CM trigger.

I need this to know in which order hero learned Secondary Skills. Objects are simply solved by !$OB post-trigger and seeing what has changed, but unfortunately there is no similar (that I know of) trigger for hero level-up, so I'm asking if anyone has already did this/knows how to do it.

I had in mind something like giving TRUE to some flag in !?HL trigger, scan SS status, and then activate trigger !?HM if flag TRUE and then scan for changes in SS.
Problem with this are fights where hero gets enough exp for 2, 3 or more level-ups, then I'll still lose the info which was first new SS he took from those 2,3 or more (presuming that hero took new SS every time).
Another problem is that if hero leveled-up and player doesn't move him but goes to hero screen (where I need to display that info), but info will not be updated because hero didn't move.

Is there some trigger that triggers when player enters Hero screen? (this would make things easier a lot)

sory for long post, any thoughts appreciated.

By shooting frames you mean in the creature's def? Because I did. And I also added the sounds.

I told you it works in the beginning. However, if I quit game and load it it might not work again... I don't know why...
