Heroes Of Might & Magic III: Carribean Vacation
Fred79, I used Hero Of Light set of HMM3 buttons rid of background things. But yours edit of "Armageddon Blade" is cleaner, I hope you manage to clean all menu DEFs sometimes.

Ok, pandora boxes are perfectly subtypable, I tested with one changed to subtype 2 (with coded battle and reward) and another unaltered with some archers and they both work.
Now I would like to ask your expert opinion about this: if I want to code difficulty levels from max crypt to above Unleashing Red Orb, in how many levels do you think I must divide the range?
I feel like 5 is too few and 20 too much but still can't decide the middle ground, would 10 be suitable? Or a bit more?

So, new pandora boxes
Pandora box of Level 1, can be:
1 - 6 Enchanters 4 MGs, 8 MGs, 4 MGs, 6 Enchanters;
2 - 15 Grand Elves, 8 Silver Pegassus, 4 War Unicorns, 8 Sps, 15 GEs;
3 - 8 Archmages, 6 MGs, 4 Naga Queens, 6MGs, 8 Archmages;
plus basic hero to support them
etc..
rewards: experience and random prims or mid level creatures or level 2 and three artifacts or gold and resources, etc...
Max Level
1 - 2500 x 7 Azures;
2 - 12000 Enchanters, 4000 SAs, 4000 LTs, 4000 Rusties, 4000 LTs, 4000 SAs, 12000 Enchanters;
plus Mega Hero to support them
etc...
rewards: offer of a new skill hero still don't have, new basic skills for commander, Commander Artifacts, ABs, AotDs, Cornucopias or other mega relics and huge stacks of level 8 creatures or super dragons.
How many levels do you think I should create between these two?

I would do it unlimited levels, based on the month you are:
month 1: monsters level 1-3, 1-2 artefacts, gold resources
month 2: level 4-6, 3-5 artefacts, gold resources
month 3 and later, level 7 x month, 1 relic (month n:2), gold resources
etc;

No, definetively no. One of the reasons I want this boxes is be able to level up differently prepared heroes at the same time, with quite different army values. I want the hability to choose a very minimal battle for a recently hired hero at the same time my main beats thousands of dragons before breakfast.
What could work but is an entirely different concept from what I was initially thinking was to add a counter to the hero and keep everything limited to serie of battles against mid level creatures (maybe with freeslots where to add new PowerFull stacks), whose numbers would increase according to the counter. It would be kind of the Karmic Battles, the more experienced you are the bigger the battles the boxes present to you.

Well ok but imo thats dead end: when you already have a super hero with zounds of dragons, all you need to level a weak hero is to give him those dragons then attack some big stack, not a pandora box with weak monsters, giving 1 minor artefact while you already have all relics on your other heros. This is how I level new heroes in tew 3-4 maps, one fight and he becomes 40.
Now, if heroes game was realistic and for example would limit weak heroes in both wearing relics or commanding creatures then it would make sense. But a level 1 can command 1 million dragons, so just switch troops.

I know, I have a problem with reality even in games... I prefer to level heroes like they all havr (more or less) started some other day 1. Your method is way, way more efficent (and I am trying to circunvent that a bit).

Of course if you like it that way, do it. But if you plan to release mod, then just think what players would prefer, ask around. I would level the fastest way, no point in doing little fights middle game.

Curiously, this is where our desagreement about commanders and henchmen has his big turn over: my low level heroes with skills from witch huts and prims from MoC, even if armed iwth the HA, are still quite weak to fight experienced high level creatures; some of their most important components would be killed and army would benefict less then half of what it should...

If you have hero from Inferno/Necro/Dungeon/Stronghold/Fortress/Conflux, you can easy level up hero with Altar of Sacrifice. Use junks units/joiners and hero can easy level up to 25.
Good and Neutral Factions can exchange Artifacts for XP.

so, testing a map... just docked a ship next to a creature, and it immediately fights me. only problem is:
...and i wasn't even fighting wights. tf?
running this on 1.8 + wog, btw(i know, i know, don't yell at me)...
edit: it happened again. i went to fight a different group that was near the group that disappeared. they were both labeled "few"(1-4), even though they had been sitting around for a couple months(i had placed them there myself in the map editor). could it be possible that they were actually set to "0" when the map loaded, or is this a sign of an issue with the map?

Problem with safe sod in campaigns
Apparently "safe sod" doesn't work for me in campaigns, is it normal ?
It works excellently for the 1st map, with the dialog to ask if I want to wogify the map and then the options, but then when I win the map and switch to the 2nd map of the campaign, no more prompt to wogify, no more options, and the era plugins are apparently disabled !
I quickly tested this using the cheats menu to quickly win a map, it's always like that for me, no matter the enabled mods or the campagin played.
So what ? Is safe sod good only for single maps ?
Why are the original campaigns enabled again in this case ?
By the way it's even worse if I win the map during the compter turn, that is when he already lost all his towns and is forced to attack me during his turn. In this case when saving the final save I get an error message telling me that this save is done outside my turn and will probably not work, and if I try to load it, I learn it's a multiplayer save ! Anyway it has the same problem, when switching to the next map, all the mods are disabled.
