I think in Olden Era from almost every Heroes parts from H2-3-4-5-6-7 there are gameplay elements from every Heroes in it so its a mixture on H3 style of graphics but a more colorful one cel-shaded. =H4-H5 is still more colourful i think)

Yes H4 has better graphics! No H8.. But I hope H8 is a fun game!

Since the fall of series after H5, Ubisoft entombed series because they prefer to make money with old mecanics.
Heroes should look like to a tableboard game with players moving their armies inside regions during the same turns, there s no future for simultaneous turn, this addition killed the game because it never worked out.
As a fan i m suffering because of the advertising of this new opus, it s like if the licence was stucked in the past.

I don't know much about Olden Era, other than a few pieces i have read but I sincerely hope it will be great.
I think it will look something like this :

Olden Era

So, it's not out yet?
I have no idea how good it will be as a game but for me the most important thing is: will it have a Map Editor? Will that editor be usable without 3D graphics formation?

I love how optimistic everyone seems to be. I joined these forms shortly after H7 came out and I remember that awful blog website that Ubisoft used to gaslight everyone into thinking they cared about our feedback and how infuriated we all were all the time. This is the first time I've seen the fandom optimistic about the future of the franchise.

Closed beta soon, early access sometime next year

I'm optimistic because I don't have any reason not to be. I have no major concerns about anything that I've seen from Olden Era so far, and Unfrozen has been extremely receptive to feedback and involved with the community.
My only worry is Ubisoft somehow screwing it all up. If they lock the game behind Uplay, that would kill all the hype for me.

To be honest, the initial announcement of H7 sparked a lot of excitement (just look at the early discussions in the H7 thread!). However, the enthusiasm waned over time as it became evident that the final product would fall short of its initial promises. The developers’ approach to engaging with the fandom didn’t help the situation either. Ironically, trolling them ended up being more entertaining than the game itself.
That said, I agree with most here —Olden Era seems genuinely promising.

Just saw a report on YouTube. They will try to sell you a beta version, possibly patching it for more money then, after finally finishing it, sell you "expansions".
I guess I'll wait for the Complete pack.

Where exactly is this "report" you speak of?
And no, we have been very, very transparent on how it will work:
- We'll be releasing the game in Early Access status, which will feature most of the game.
- It will be a simple purchase model aka "You buy the game = you get the game" (Think Baldur's Gate 3)
- All updates during Early Access will be free.
- No Microtransactions.

I think it may be middle lvl. As I see presented materials OE has no chance for HIII level. But still it may be very good game with some mistakes.

Out of all the games, I haven't played HoMM1 and HoMM7.
I've only played 5 and 6 very briefly, the most I've played 3, then 4 and then 2.
My current standing is like this:
BEST
1. HoMM3
2. HoMM2
3. HoMM1
4. HoMM4 <> Olden Era
5. HoMM5 <> Olden Era
6. HoMM6
7. HoMM7
WORST
I haven't played 7 so I don't know if it's worse than 6, but I don't imagine for it to be better.
I think 4 is better than 5, because it's still technically made by NWO although I find it barely playable, at least it looks like a HoMM game. I think 5 is more playable than 4, but I can't get to terms with the art style, 3D graphics and the world setting being completely different.
For me Olden Era will be on the level of 4 or 5 - mediocre and forgettable at best, at worst it will be terrible and heavily disliked. I don't think the developers have the vision to make a good HoMM game, whether they want to go back to the roots or do their own thing in a new world setting and story. What I've seen and played so far feels like some cheap free flash game from 2010 trying to bring something slightly similar to HoMM3 to the browser.
Same is with Songs of Conquest and Hero's Hour. Whereas SoC was dubbed a HoMM-inspired game, after I played it, I found it very unenjoyable while Hero's Hour at least doesn't take itself too seriously and instead does its own thing and whatever success (or lack thereof) it has, is entirely on its own merits. It's not very fun, but at least it's different.
Some people who like Olden Era seem to be bitter that HoMM3 fans don't seem to accept Olden Era and think that they live in the past and can't enjoy anything new, but I think that HoMM3 was the best and nothing since has been better than it, not even similar games from different companies. And there is nothing wrong that a few old classic games are the best and nobody has been able to make something better since, like Diablo 2, Age of Empires 2, TES3 Morrowind, Vanilla WoW.
Instead of people becoming complacent with every mediocre game that releases and thinking by just pretending to like it somehow makes it less worse, developers should be inspired by old games, and study them very carefully in order to find out why they've become so iconic and 20+ years later people still play them over new games and try to bring those qualities over.
Unfortunately, what I've seen instead is developers making absolute minimum effort when they make a new game and then act surprised and defensive when people express their honest opinions that they don't like it and then branding the people negative naysayers and even trying to silence or invalidate their opinions.

I don't know how the game will play, but I must say, the developers seem to be paying scant regard to the list of creatures that dwell in Jadame, at least, as Might and Magic VIII shows them.
