One thing I haven't seen discussed yet is the Grail. In the town shots we've seen, there appears to be a Grail structure, but not a lot of people have speculated on changes yet. ::grins:: Let me be the first.
Since attack/defense as we knew it in Heroes 3 seems to be going away, for the most part, I don't believe the Grail will affect combat much for anybody besides the Stronghold. In no particular order, here are my current wild guesses about the Grail in each town (your mileage may vary):
Asylum: boosts spell effects of Chaos spells
Necropolis: boosts post-battle Necromancy
Haven: boosts post-battle Resurrection
Order: boosts pre-combat Charm
Preserve: boosts post-battle Recruitment
Stronghold: direct effect in battle
All these would be in addition to bonuses in creature growth and town income.
In addition, note that The_Hydra's initial post here has been awarded a Quality Point. He has managed to do a very good job of summarizing the information to date in an interesting and readable style while adding a few twists of his own. ::grins:: Sometimes I wait a bit before I do something with a post...just to see what happens. All I really want to know is: Is it true Black Dragons could have 1100 Health?! That would be great! Titans, those puny things, they only have 610 Health! Ican'twaitIcan'twaitIcan'twait

Sorry
::Note from the Mod:: Xenophanes ... I put in a few spaces to keep the scroll bar of doom at bay. I know you can't wait, but remember, when you put it all in as one long word it makes it difficult for other people to read anything in your post. I don't want to curb your enthusiasm, just asking you to remember the space key in the future as well. Thanks, from Unka Haakon.

Firstly: Thankyou Unkahaakon for the quality point and the credits, I try my best on the threads, even though my friends say they're too long.
We janitors are known to be eccentric-LOL
Grail: Hmmm... yes, UnkaHaakon, this would be excellent, as the grails in heroes 3 boosted attack and defense, which suited the might hero. And i think the magic hero hasn't been used nearly enough. This would be a great boost to the popularity of magic heroes. I think they area very important part of Heroes of might and MAGIC 4.
This also gives all the more reason to make Stronghold have more powerful, although the behemoth has about 650 HP??
These grails, if they are utilised will balance might and magic, and will give magic added power.
Xenophanes: This information that Wyvern gave us was for the beta version, and he did warn us that these may change. And i wouldn't get my hopes up on Dragons have 1100HP, it is so much more than all other creatures. Remember Marnathea said that there would be a great difference between levels, but not between creatures of the same level.

I agree with HyDrA nobody should get there hopes up about Black Dragons having 1100 hp because it's so much more than the others.
Grails: Yes, it is a bonus having grails working with magic instead of might. This will give heroes a more 'magic' feeling.
