Hi folks, new here and glad to find this heroes site with so many members!
I originally got hooked on the HMM2 demo years ago, just recently decided I should buy the game but couldnt find it so got HMM3 instead and loving it, these games can really be quite blissful and fun, great atmosphere with the cool soundtrack and cute graphics and well structured gameplay.
Got HMM4 too, not sure how I like that so far though, its certainly quite different.

Hey guys
My name is Stoyan from Bulgaria, but people that know me call me stage (with small s please ), as that is my nickname in real life as well. And not its not coming from English, its just pronounced the same way I am half the age Bruce Willies is, does that count?
Also on almost all places I use the same nick, to register, for charactors etc. For me - I like good music, if I have to name a band it would be The Gathering for example. I play guitar in a band, we also have album out and clips, but I really do not want to promote this stuff as nobody listen to us Also, I really like Old-School games (Donkey Kong anyone?) and turn-based games. Well, yes, Heroes 3 is my favorite one with Temple of Elemental Evil behind it (with Co8). Also, YES, from all the series H3 is still the best one, V suck monkey ***** Vi, well probably not going to bother with it at all...
I also play/ed online games (MMORPG's to be exact) like Guild Wars (long time) and over 2 years of Age of Conan... loved that game. From there I got other nick which is stage the mage as I played a Mage class there (necromancer... in GW was also necromancer btw).
Favorite town in H3 is not Necropolis, although there tons of Necros there It's more likely to be Fortress. And I would say I hate Castle. I don't have favorite hero, In most of the cases I play with some random one I get from the Tavern, prefer Might over Magic.
Most played games back in the day were in hot-seat of course Started playing online recently so I have discovered literally BILLION of tons of information, rules, maps, tactics etc. etc. that I am trying to absorb.
I have not been on the forums for that long, been visiting now and then through the years, but I have been stalking maretti the last month, guess that counts for something
And lastly, my other big love is movies. I wont mention films, but just my favorite directors - Lynch, Tarkovski, Kubrick. I also like Bulgarian movies, specially the old and good ones.
So thanks for reading probably my wall of text by now, and If you have questions feel free to ask.
PS I am also looking for noobs like me to play with me QQ

Nope, I had to Google not the biggest fan of asian games/movies (the exceptions include NES, Oldboy, Jackie Chan and the work of Kurosawa hehe) is it good? Although I also have to warn you that I hate any form of modern consoles, as I see they made some remakes for it...
About Heroes 5... Well, like I said, I really like old games so I look behind the graphics of a game. I tried playing back when it came out, and I just hated it what they did with it. The towns, the combat system (square tactical field), the animations, the fugly 3D - there is nothing like good old isometric perspective... and last but not least, it's not New World Computing with Jon Van Caneghem... the reboot of King's Bounty is 10 times better then V, even without multi.
And thanks

Hi, stage.
I play guitar, too. I have 6 guitars, but my favorite is my Gibson Les Paul. I used to be in a Rock band for years, but no longer. Now I run a recording studio as a sideline. I'm more into the Classic Rock stuff, such as the Beatles, the Stones, the Doors, the Who, Led Zeppelin, and Hendrix.
I hope you find a playing partner.

Well, as the first and (as far as I know) only game of its class besides Final Fantasy Tactics (#1 of said series had the best storyline for a video game ever, btw), Fire Emblem does rather well for itself. I personally find it extremely fun/ entertaining/ addicting, as do most of my friends. Only people who I know that don't like it haven't played it.
The ones for the Wii are good, but please ignore the one they made for the DS... No one likes it. The disappointment child of the series.

Hi there, I'm Vid and I'm from Croatia. Heroes1 has been one of the first games I saw on computer ever, and since then I'm playing HoMM (up to SoD+AB). I'm 23/soon 24 and the best part of HoMM3 to me is map and campaign making. That's mostly the biggest reason why I regged here, to seek help and answers.

Hi there! Um... My nickname is Voii, pronounce Voi, short i. So, uhm... I'm 19, still nineteen, almost 20 tho still young, a teenager... God, the embarrassment... Sorry, I left my communicative skills in other pants. So, uhm, lets get to business. I live exactly 51° 6'52.28"N 17° 4'4.21"E, in a beautiful city. I'm studying advanced biotechnical magic at university. Yeah... I could actually write down my real name, but it's unpronounceable for foreigners(it really is). Where were we... yes, so I love HoMM series. I wish I could say all of it, but unfortunately it's not true, I never played Heroes 1/2, Lack of Time is the one to blame. As for my favourite, not surprisingly, HoMM3. Why? Well, I bet somewhere around here I will find at least one "HoMMIII is tha best game evah!!!1" thread, I will write it there. Okay now, less spamming, more introducing, I play games. Lots of them, I'm a bit of a collector, at the end of this post I'll place some links, for those who would like to see my collection, or team up with me. I'm in a bit of hurry right now, so one more thing. Why I'm here? Well, After traveling through rocky deserts of internet in search of some info about HoMM6 beta, I found this forum. Well it wasn't THAT hard, second position in Google, hehe, tho metaphor is metaphor, but anyway, I found this forum and I liked it. Polite people, not to polite, not unicorn barf polite, just okay, concrete posts. I think I'm gonna join You. If You want, of course. Well, I gotta go for now, hopefully see Y'all in the evening. Evening here... In my timezone. Geez... nice meeting Ya. Ow, links:

Hello everyone,
I am HappySkeleton and I am new to HC. I am from the Czech Republic and I was playing Heroes III with my brother and cousins since I was young and it has been fun. Now I play Heroes III to Heroes V and I love it. I also like playing other games, but HoMM series are still in the top 10.
The last (maybe) interesting thing is that I just like necropolis (except in Heroes IV).

Greetings HappySkeleton!
I see it is your first post on this website! Welcome! I hope you'll enjoy this community.
Czech Republic eh? You should check out this thread then: http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=35212. So tell a little more about yourself! What city are you from? How old are you? What size of socks do you apply to your feet?
Which do you like the best between heroes III, IV and V? I personally haven't played V and I probably enjoy III the most, but it's pretty close between each one. Have you tried Heroes 2? How about the might and magic series?
Necropolis is certainly an awesome town. It's actually general consensus that it's overpowered. As such I am quite convinced that other necro-fans, such as Angelito will come to like your point of view. Your username is also incredible fitting as it's the skeleton unit which makes Necropolis overpowered in the first place!
For heroes 2-4, I think Necropolis are one of the best towns to choose if you're new to the game, because even on impossible, you don't need skeletons to beat the computer, just high stats and a few strong units. Here the vampire lord is pretty ideal, as once your stats and numbers are high enough (much lower than what other units typical require for the untrained player), you can easily clean the map with several heroes! Often you can just place the vampire lord in a corner, so it's 1 stack vs. 2 stacks at most, all the time.

So, Im from city called Havlíčkův Brod (130 km away from Prague). Im 16 and size of my socks is 47 .
From Heroes III, IV, and V I like III the most (probably because I grew up with it), but I like the skeleton archer unit from V.
I actually never tried Heroes II, because it did not run on my computer (I have vista).
I just wonder why did they combine inferno with necropolis in Heroes IV. Well, I guess they had a good reason for it
Skeletons are coooool!!!

Man you're a show off!!
Also welcome to our modest little community. If you want to compete though you'll need a lot bigger feet than a mere 47. But you're still 16 so there's room to grow.
