Adult Only Forum
I think it would be a good idea to add an adult only forum, which can be accessible by any member who has his age set as over 18 on his profile. A forum where we can talk about sex, swear, post por... I mean, artistic nudes.

Now this may be a just be a rumour I heard... but I think that on the internet there just may actually be one or two places already set up just for this kinda thing

Uh, has anyone thought about how to confirm that people don't change their profile info to get into the special forum? I suspect that if we have a forum like this, the number of HC members officially under the age of 18 will drop to nil, more or less. Least we forget, HC has a dispropotionate number of teenage males running around.
Edit: Additional Information -- Another forum I occasionally visit does have an adult-only section, but it's only open to subscribers. That system both confirms real life information for the members and provides income to the siteowner.  My feeling is that a subscription system would not work at HC (insufficient # of devoted members with credit cards), but that's arguable.

I can't believe I'm the only one who's thinking about Jesus! 
I mean, if you wanna show off your sleaze, there's plenty of other ways to do this; you could set up a e-mail "news"-letter, or something.
I'm usually not so conservative when it comes to these things but
a) I don't really see the relevance in this for HC
and
b) like Khaelo said, there's no way in hell it's gonna be possible to enforce this, unless, again like she said, some kind of subscription arrangement, something I'm copletely against, since that would mean that HC would be come segregated, with one block for those who can afford to pay, and one for those who can't. Or something like that.

Well, HC is about Heroes of Might and Magic. But the tavern, other side and vw's are not related to HOMM. HC is a community, and HC members may wish do discuss -any- topic they have on their mind, and they may wish to do so with their fellow HC members.
As for people changing their profiles, well, who cares? A kid can just go and search for porn on google and if asked for his age (which is not even likely) he can always say he's 18. Requiring people to be 18 is just a way to make sure that no innocents who don't wish to view vulgar material will not view it by accident.

Imo, freedom of speech applies only in cases where something of some (not much, though) substance is actually said. The sharing of adult content material doesn't exactly have what I'd call "substance"...
To appeal to the freedom of speech on a matter such as this, can onky lead to a hollowing-out of this important right imho.
Also, the freedom of speech of HC applies only so far as the patience and tolerance of Valery.

Interesting idea, for sure. But, as stated by most PAM, it would be very hard to implement it and make sure that the only people viewing it are 18.
I mean, how do you verify it? Asking for ID? No, cause people who haven't divulged their real names or posted their pics can grab a friend's license and scan it.
As for the honour system, not a chance in hell. I'm almost positive that that kind of system would be breaking tons of unofficial internet laws.
Khaelo mentioned credit cards. Problem with that is, there are probably lots of people who couldn't justify paying money, when they can go to Google and find literally a google different sites to do the same thing! (Note: a google is a number, a 1 followed by a hundred 0's. 10 times a billion to the eleventh.)
So, what else is there?
To me, the only solution is to do this sort of thing privately. Maybe by PM's (if that's allowed), or by using a third party, such as MSN. (Such as Svarog and Pandora)

I think an ordinary forum here in HC would be ideal, where as a warning, it only gives you one of those pages "if you are under 18 please click here" and if u click the window closes(lol).
If not porn, it can be a forum with no ceonsoring, and with lots of nudity and all will be good.

The internet is already saturated with sex IMHO,why bring it in here too?
IMHO this isn't a good ideea for two reasons:
1. If it will be based on credit card membership, it will create a rupture amongst the members.This discussion about the "pay-per-view" system already occured in another thread here.
2. If it's decided to be a free access forum, it will change the site profile dramaticly.I for instance don't want this site amongst that 1 billion others that pop out when searching "sex" on Google.
Having sex related threads like the ones that already exists in the tavern or the wastelands is one thing, but having a whole forum for that is too much.
Just my 2 cents

I sent an email to Hugh Hefner and asked him to create a Heroes3 library forum on his playboy-internet-site.
He wrote back:
"Dear dorky, as far as i know, there are millions of forums about fantasy sex...errr...fantasy games on the net. And second, how the hell could i prove, all members of this new "heroes3 library" forum are under 18 ??
But nevertheless, could you give me the phone number of this hottie called "pixie"?

In New Zealand for some reason they call the gay parade "hero parade". People were even wondering when I told them the name "heroes community".
I think the first issue is whether we'd have enough activity on the adult forum by the posters.
If we can handle that point, the next issue is access restrictions. It has to be a private secure area, perhaps even inaccessible from the main pages because advertisers won't like it. If the forum is not accessible through the website, if it has no ads in it, if it's a closed extension of Heroes Community, that could work. Then we are creating a secret club. The inner circle that newbies have no clue about. Then for purposes of age authorisation and due to no advertisements there could be an annual fee of few dollars, a VIP pass to the adult lounge. Or the membership fee could be higher and we could pool the money to organise quality content for the members. And we know the baron who mixes heroes with adult content
