Stupid people are annoying people.
But it is easy to say some things without considering other more important things.
For example, an average guy may be driving along an empty road listing going to work before the streets become clogged with traffic. Is it smart? Yes. Considerate to those around him who are still sleeping? No, in his eyes and those of his boss, he is very smart in planning his actions. But what about the people in the houses he drives by? What if he like to drive fast when there are no cops around? Or if his breaks are squeaky? Or simply that his car is loud? He will wake up every person on the street, and they with curse and swear that he his stupid or drunk.
Later on his way to work he might get cut off but somebody.
He will obviously assume that that person who just cut them off, is stupid. But has he considered everything about this man? No. The person who got up early in the morning (Here on reffered to as "Bob") know everything that's going on in the mind of the man in the car that just cut him off? No he doesn't. That man may have just broken up with his girlfriend, recently ran into a problem at home and is seeking assistance, or has a dis-ability. It is not right to call these people stupid though I admit they are very very annoying.
Later on his way to work, Bob notices a group of people along the roadside with large boxes, being the way bob is, he assumes that they are waithing for a ride or are just "hanging out" and thinks nothing more of it. Is this an example of somebody who is stupid? Possibly, but they have not considered that Bob woke up early this morning to get to work on time. As he draws closer to the roadside group, they begin reaching into these boxes, Bob however thinks that this does not concern him.
However, upon coming within range, Bob's car is pelted with eggs. Is this an act of a stupid person? Yes. Not only is there one stupid person, but there are now several people bombarding Bob's car with eggs. The reason why this act is stupid is not because it is a waste of eggs, it is not because these people are too close to the roadside. It is because Bob could be seriously hurt if it surprised him and he swerved to dodge the attacks and hit a tree, pole, building, fire hydrant, another car, postbox, mailbox, or in the worst case, another person, or any combination of these. Luckly Bob manages to take control of himself and drives by whithout loosing his temper and "attacking them back", and he escapes without damaing his person, but being human, his anger has a bit of influence and he flips them off. Is this stupid? Somewhat, he should be concentrating on the road, but since Bob is only human, it becomes sometimes difficult to control one's anger.
(In this next bit I have no idea about what Hewlett Packard accually does, so I have assumed that the company designs and creates computers and all of thier componats)
So Bob arrives at the plant that he works at. Lets suppose he works for "Hewlett Packard" and is one of the employees ho work on making computer chips and the like.
Bob did not remember something, the plant does not open until 7:00 am, and it is now 6:30 am. He has half an hour of alone time. Bob has alot of work to do, he needs to write a report on the new components that they recently issued, and he is to report on whether they are of high or low quality, and if they work.
But Bob does not currently want to write a report, at the moment he looks for something else to do. Is this stupid? Somewhat. Bob woke up early today to be on time, so he deserves a little break at the moment, but yes he should work on the report to ensure that it is handed in on time. But Bob has considered this, and he'd still rather do something a little more fun.
Currently accross the street an old 1970's car show is being set up. Bob has always loved the older cars, and has always wanted to own one, but he never could afford a classic car. But he still wants to take a look so he decides he would be fine if he ran accross the road.
Normally this would be a very, very stupid thing to do, and Bob realizes this. But Bob also realizes that it's 6:30 in the morning, and no body else is on the road, atleast in this area of the city. So it still is a stupid thing to do, but since the main danger has been avoided, it isn't to dumb.
So Bob runs accross the road and takes a look at the cars, he spends 45 minutes there and enjoys himself, he knows that this place is always hosting some kind of fair or ammusement of some sort and he decides ha has enjoyed himself so much this morning he'll wake up early every day from now on. Stupid idea? Nah, if he keeps up being there before everywon (except his boss) he'll be given a promotion and b able to afford a better car that isn't so loud and keep getting more praise from his bosses, wake ledd people up in the morning, and he knows the next spot up have better hours than his current hours, so he'll be able to spend more time at home.
So as bob sits there watching the animals and people come and go, he spends a further 10 minutes thinking and creating a fantasy where everything goes his way.
Them he realises that there is 5 minutes before the plant opens, and he hasn't locked his car, he runs back accross the road, notice this time he didn't consider things, and locks his car this however takes a couple minutes because he cannot find his keys.
Soon he sees his boss walk up to the plant, his boss does not notice him though because Bob's parking space is far away from the plant.
So Bob walks over to the plant and walks in and takes his place, and begins to prepare the machines for use as his boss walks out of his office to photo-copy some papers, he notices Bob merily whistling away while he preps the other machines too. His boss smile and shakes his head, and makes a mental note of it.
The next day the auto show is till in town and Bob once more enjoys himself before work.
The boss once again notices that Bob is on time today and makes a friendly attempt at Bob and continues on his way.
The next day Bob's report is due, he did not do it before because that day he was exhausted from work. But this morning he promised himself he would do the work. Is this stupid? Certainly not, making a mental note to do something is a good thing to do and is certainly not stupid, unless you make so many that your life become disorganized.
But this morning is slightly different, over night, the auto show has pack up and left, and now a political speech as been prepared for the area and Bob is not too interested. So Bob must think of something else to do, yes, he knows that he should finish the report now, but he decides to gamble a bit and hopes the boss won't collect it today.
And Bob looks around for something to do.
Annoyed by the fact that the old car show has gone away, Bob decides that he could still enjoy cars and goes don the street into a small car store, and is convinced into buying new hubcaps for his car. Is this stupid? Somewhat. His car did not need new hubcaps, so it was a stupid thing to do, buying new hubcaps. But on the other hand Bob was convinced by a salesman to do so, so it was not entirely his fault, but he should have stood his ground and decided against it.
It is now 6:58 by Bob's wrist watch.
So bob runs back to the place where he works.
The boss realizes that Bob is early again and asks for the report, poor Bob. Bob made a bad choice in gambling this morning, not only did he mss up with buying un needed hubcaps, but he just has lost respect with his boss, although it was a stupid small thing it was a stupid thing to do.
So that's Bob's story and his adventure with stupid ideas and people.

I would like to know why you define others as stupid, is it because of your own ingorance or is it because you do not like it when their are others that are differently oppinionated to your self.
To me stupid or stupidity are words that are created by those who are very self opinionated and wish for people to fall into their line of thought, this is the only way in which these people can try and push people around and they are no differante than bullies.
there is no such thing as a stupid person in an idealistic world. Even the mentally challange are not considered stupid because they are albe to conduct them selves in a way, that may be different to our own, that counts them as humans in society. It is not people that are stupid it is they ways and opinions that they bullie into society that is stupid.
Not even animals are stupid. They may seem stupid to you but on their level they may function on a level that we may not be able to comprehend. Take pigs for example, mant peole thibk they are stupid and they spend thier days in their own slop but that is not true. Pigs rool in the mud to create a protective layer like skin to prevent being bitten by insects.
So it is not people or animals that sre stupid, i think that it is the opinions and actions of people who want the world to be sucked into one view point. Society needs to re-evaluate the word and the contex of the word stupid.

FYI I did read the start of the thread.
That fact that someone is smoking in a car with the window up or down does not make them stupid, they are infact Ignorante of the health and well being of that person/child. As a matter of fact due to the Ignorance of those people, here in Australia smoking is prohibited when you have a child in the car (Car and home are smoke free zones).
Stupidity by nature is another definition for being ignorante by habit. They are one in the same because someone decided to take the word of stupid and re-interated it to societys purposes.

I donīt hate stupid people I HATE annoying people. Big difference. The stupid ones can be mentally handicaped but the annoying are just yeah annoying. When i think about it a mentally handicaped person also can be annoying. Now i am confused.

hmmm... politically incorrect to say the least!! 
(but if you look my at my first post, i give a good idea of what I consider stupidity... it has nothing to do with IQ, intelligence, education or dissability)
.. but someone's level of stupidity is in direct negetive correlation to my tolerance level!!

Even if it's not about stupid (as in annoying) people in general, I think that's exactly how it is when at least I just CANNOT get along with someone. It has only happened once, and it was just like that song.

 Nice thread IYY, I hate stupid people too. I mean In most cases a man is born with the possibility to be NOT stupid but most of the people who actualy have such an possibilty become stupid. And then some of them will not care becouse they are too stupid and others will have a way to hide from the blaimingsd. This happened to him, that happened to him and it's been hard for him. Well good but that is not a reason for him to be an idiot and make all others submit to the almighty idiot It has been hard for me too, but does anybody care NO WHY Becouse I never actualy became an idiot and I don't need defend myself. Well I've got somethink to tell to all poor idiots in the world- snow YOU.

All people do stupid things, so we often respond to stupid actions by people by calling them stupid. It is our reaction. I don't see anything really wrong with that.

Every time I see a thread like this I wish upon the OP that they would be followed around by a group of people documenting their life 24/7 and after a year or so they would just show a 10 hour video of the most ridiculous and stupid things they did. After the video we could all sit back and laugh at how retarded they are. The circle of stupidity would go round and round untill everyone learned some humility and compassion.

You seriously believe that's why it was made? Then why was it called l33t from elite? Some immature teenagers wanted to sound cool that's all, even if you think it can cloak your conversations. I never had to try much to understand them and I'm not a linguistic genious either.
Maybe you even think that 'we @re teh win' is an attempt to hide a meaning?
