He didn't say that it was available yet, he said that he would be surprised if they even released the beat version this year.

The project is not died. You really will be surprised. Soon. Not with the beta-version, but with something...
For the best integration of town in the game, some time ago we have joined with WOG Team and now we are developing WOG 3.59 with Bastion integrated.
Moreover - in version 3.59 you will see not only one new town Bastion... That's all, I have told more than I can, this is a secret information... Yet... Wait for the announcement. Soon.

The Idea of Bastion is good, but Anubis is God of the Dead and I think that it might better be a necropolis creature, and the Bastion to have another level 7 and lvl 8 creature. Anyway, I like this Faction and especially the Anubis.

level 7 is an Anubis Warrior not the Anubis himself.Anubis is in the Egyptian mythology so it fits perfectly. it would be so weird if it will be in necropolis O,o

It will really be weird. But there are 3 types of factions - the Good, the Bad and the Neutrals. Someone can create a new Bad town instead of more neutral. And about the mythology - this is not mythology. This are the things the Egyptians belived to. And the greek mythology has Centaurs, Cyclops and Hydras in 3 different factions

I am a greek and I don't care if there is no greek mythology town but the greek mythology is scattered to all the towns.
Can you specify your problem?!?Is it that Anubis is a god, yes he is
but lvl 7 creature is not Anubis is an Anubis warrior.Is it that Necropolis hasn't a god of death, well it's name says necro(dead)polis(city)(both from greece ) and not city of gods of deads

it is supposed that Bastion will be neutral town, Forge will be evil and Grove will be good.

We are almost going out of topic there, but Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is supposed to be only composed by mythologic creatures (some of them maybe not though).
As Kesnar and AP said, creatures of same mythologies don't have to belong to the same town, but I don't see any point to change the native town of Anubis' Warriors.
We'd better wait for the town release before expecting some changes.

You know what - I just had a damned Idea. I was thinking much about Anubis and decided that he can have the "Summon ... from dead creatures", no matter friend or foe. And if you think that this Idea is also bad, I won't disagree.
