And you will find much help from the more experienced than you,just be sure you tell them not only what you want,but that you try to do it yourself.

Ok so is this place still alive?
I finally decided to make an account, I've been lurking since 2006. I'm afraid I might be a little bit late for HoMM III, but that doesn't stop me.
I recently got to play against real human players for the first time and it's incredibly fun and I want to learn more and play more.
I also suck at this game, I can barely beat expert AI if I use all my dumb tricks against it so I guess I'd get destroyed by any decent player, our matches usually do last like 2 months or so no matter how fast we try to advance.
Anyways, hi.

hello to all of you people who revive threads that died with the dinosaurs, just to comment on it, and make me think that new information is coming out, when it is just some newb who drops by to disrupt the natural order of things(or maybe this is the natural order???) just long enough to say "cool!", and then never be heard from again.
sometimes i want to strangle the new guys, just as much as some of the older ones.  (none of that irritation was directed at you, noobx. you're cool with me.)

AFAIK it's 1, and You get the option of opening another with every 10 posts You post.

I've been playing Heroes of Might & Magic V since 2009 and didn't realise this place existed (yet I had posted a few times on Celestial Heavens and downloaded their ToTE guides). Found this place looking for a strategy guide on Haven.
I don't have many people to play against, and they always play Necropolis. I've finished all the ToTE campaigns and liked Orcs better. Then learned how to play as Sylvan and Academy. Sylvan are my favourite, as long as I can learn to creep quicker to get more resources and rush the opponent before they have a chance to use Frenzy/Puppet Master.

hi. I was a Heroes II and III fanatic. Now i decided to give Heroes VI a try. I mostly play console games, I use PC only for strategy ones!

Hello,
I cannot post new topic, but I hope someone will read this here.
I have recently installed HOMM 3 again and tried to find some custom maps I enjoyed when I played the game years ago. Unfortunately, all my downloaded maps vanished with the last PC where I had installed HOMM3. I am posting this because I am searching for one particular map I really liked back then. I have tried all of the remaining map sites I could find but I did not find the map anywhere. I think it might have been from some individual mapmaker's website. Maybe someone here will be able to tell me the name of the map or upload it?
It was an XL (or possibly L) map. The whole map was a dungeon that the player entered. There was only one linear route through, so it was kind of an RPG map. The player started in the lower left corner in a Rampart (?) town, which did not allow you to build any creature dwellings. There was only a small space of "surface" and a garrison that was the gate to the dungeon. Behind the gate was some Stronghold town and I remember there was an enemy hero named Inigo Montoya (from the Princess Bride). I think you needed to defeat the enemy hero and visit some keymaster's tent behind their town in order to get to the next section of the map. There was an Inferno town further along the way and that was just the start of the map. There was also some city with elementals, but I can't remember whether the map was RoE or later version. I remember that at a later stage, you came to a room with tombs and a sign from Commander Spock that he buried the crew of Enterprise. :-)
That's all I can remember... The whole map was packed with events, signs etc. It had a great atmosphere and it was very hard (or at least it felt to me). I would really like to re-play it, but I could not find it. If you recognise this map, please tell me its name. Thank you.

In Wog and Library subforums you can find many maps,mods and useful tools for H3.
Someone there might know this map.
