hi i'm new an older person who doesn't know much about forums. so appolagising now if i do something wrong.
i've been playing heroes 3 the basic version for about 4 yrs off and on. after finishing it i looked into getting the other games. Thats where i got confused i bought homm 1 of ebay & cant install it. so looking for help i found this site.
now i've introduced myself i'm off for a long read through & see if anyone else had this problem.

Hello candy, welcome here on board.
Homm 1 is a pure DOS game, so there could be problems with some Operating systems when trying to install it. If u think Homm 3 is a great game, u should probably try to get Homm 2 instead of Homm 1. Homm 2 was a milestone and still counts as one of the best parts of the series.
You also should try to get games going vs human players (if u haven't yet...), coz humans are way tougher to beat than the A.I....

thanks angelito i did see heroes complete in amazon i will try that.i cant believe how much i'm missing playing.
i havent a clue how to go about the online games. Hopefully i will learn.

Can anyone help me? I would like to know how to put images to my post. I see that there is an INSERT IMAGE button when I am writing. Where does my image have to be when I want to load it? Can I load it from my PC? How?

The image has to be put on a server first. It's not possible to load it up from your pc directly to HC. You can try imageshack.us for example. For free....

Hello,
just started playing heroes 5, and playing around with the beta map editor. While homm5 is still crude and lacks lots of details (random map generator!) all homm3 fans has accustomed to, the game really has some potential.
I wonder really if anyone reads all sixteen (and still counting) of posts posted here
