Hi, I'm Ethera, I've actually known this forum for quite a long time (over 10 years), but I only got to create an account now. The internet threw me in when I started making maps and it helped me a lot, so thanks to all of you! I am now going to contribute myself.

Hello everyone.
I am not really a new user, same person as old user wog_edn - but I do not have the same e-mail and do not have my old password. Plus I have changed quite a bit as a person, so a new user is suitable.
I work less than I used to, so I started playing Heroes 3 a little bit again - and then remembered this old forum.
Soooo what is the same and what is new?

Yeah WoG/ERA 3.9.3 version now! You can install Launcher in New Spells MOD, Difficulty MOD, HUMAN AI MOD*, ACM aka Advanced Classes Mod, etc also better graphics
*HUMAN AI MOD apes your second skills.. AI can grows skeletons, liches and ghosts

Not much .. became head chef, bought a house and got a couple of kids now gonna enjoy a few months off work.

Back in 2001, when I was a 9 years old and just started with Heroes III Complete, I remember how I waited for my parents to go to work and just set my alarm clock early in the morning, playing the game for more than 8 hours a day. Despite not being able to understand English or read online how the game should properly be played (at higher levels), I had to experiment and enjoy the amazements and the struggles that this wonderful game brought to you: the variety of races; the different spells, secondary skills, artifacts; the strategical decisions while exploring the map or in combat; the special effects of monsters and how to combine their attacks for a maximum effect; the baffling campaigns and the impossible difficulty...
From time to time, after playing different games, I always come back to Heroes 3. It is interesting how much I missed when I was a teenager with the mind set of RTS like Age of Empires 2 – not rushing and knowing how to play early vs monsters thus having troubles with rook and queen difficulty. Having read the guides of JollyJoker for all of the races made me appreciate the game even more and being able to win vs rook easily. I am happy that I was finally able to complete all of the campaigns on rook. Some of the missions had to be played on the expert or impossible but when you have developed your heroes properly it is easier.
These days I will continue to improve my gameplay (queen and king await) and actually focus more on map making. I had that desire when I was a little boy but back then I lacked the discipline, didn't have better understanding of the game and didn't have a strategic vision.
These days I made my first map and now I will upload it here (creating a topic) and in another sites that I think are still used by heroes 3 players. Looking forward to your advices!

Hello all..
Here is probably biggest fan of this game from Croatia.. Since early 2000s..
This is my go to game when i am tired or just wanna play games.. Especially wog mod of the heroes 3 game.
Prefer xl maps and long games, big fights
Is there any topic where we can get help about some maps?
I have 1 and its killing me because i cant find the map in editor or even translate in game ...
Please see screenshot and if u can help somehow please do.
This map is 1 player , xl map, NO enemy.
Cant understood map, name, or what language is this. Or how to find any..
I am not sure where i got it and when but my folder is full with like 1000 maps.

Hi all
 I've been playing Heroes ever since Heroes I. I'm that old. Loved I, II, III ... IV is ok, not my favorite. Once it went 3D, I just didn't enjoy the game anymore. Set it aside for a long time - now I have young kids and I love playing side-by-side multiplayer. I get to sit to my little guy and watch him play his turn, talk strategy, do math, have good quality time together! Then we discovered HotA & WoG. I'm here because of WoG. We loved the mithril and commander system! Completely blown away by the effort that has gone into this! Awesome!! We loved it ... for a few game-weeks ... then the crashes started  ... I spent some time trying to figure things out by using this forum from a read-only standpoint ... and kind of failed ... then donated a bit and emailed with Juraj. I'm now pivoting into a software-centric career with a focus on UX and to a lesser extend, UI. I'm working on a Item cheat sheet that I'd love to share with other people who would like a hard copy to reference when you're walking up to a skull . Also happy just to connect with other people who love this game!
Hmm, that didn't work. How would I share the cheat sheet? I just wanted to post a screenshot of what I'm working on.
