If I remember correctly, you need to reach 50 posts on the forum to request a custom avatar... and then for about one eternity until our admin uploads it to the avatar database.

Wow, I'm pretty surprised to see this place still going!
I joined because I've had the idea of attempting to make a texture pack for Heroes 4, but I need help figuring out how to actually replace sprites.
I've played HoMM 1-5, Dark Messiah and MM6.

Hi all, long time lurker here. Lifelong Heroes 1 and 2 fan. I used to have an account around the H7 development time but didn't say much.
Super excited for Olden Era being created by actual Heroes fans who understand the roots of the series, and finally leaving Ashan behind.
Chiming in to share feedback about Olden Era.

Hello, i'm Lub4os4 and i found this forum when i was looking for a chronological timeline of the games. I saw a post on here that was very helpful.
The second time (when i decided to sign up) i was looking for info about how h7 runs on potato machines, because i will be going to college and i'll be using my old laptop for most of the time. Found a hillarious post about h7 "mistreating" your pc's RAM and thats when i decided to join this forum.
I've been playing mainly heroes 3 and 5. My father showed them to me when i was 6 and i was insta hooked.

The best way to play HoMM 3 in 2025 by far is to purchase the Complete edition from GoG, download and install the HD mod and you are good to go.
The other, inferior option, is to purchase Homm3 HD Edition, but i highly advise against it. It has very poorly upscaled textures and is missing the 2 expansion packs: Armageddon's Blade and Shadow of Death, inclusing the QoL aspects they gave the game.

I played Homm2, Homm3 a lot, Homm Kingdoms and now I am playing Homm5.
In Homm3, I edited and shared some pictures and maps on the site archangelcastle 18 years ago.
Now I am editing a map on Homm5 and I will need some help.

Hi i have 2 versions of WOG on my desktop i.e 3.58F and ERA I am trying to find the patch/method to unlock XXL+ maps on 3.58F or is that not possible?
