Haha.. I get you Miru. Being on the process of becoming an electronics&computers engineer i totally get you. Yes indeed, it pretty much sucks the fact that we are called nerds and low-lifers and still everybody is worshiping the technology.
Also what gets me to extreme rage is the fact that some underbrained who thinks of himself the new god of computers starts yelling left and right that he knows it all.
And as a proof there stands the mighty <html><tr><td></td></tr></html> guy who already thinks of himself of T3H True P0WAH of Programming. These days everybody knows to programm beacuse he is so good at typing <font color='red'></font>.

For all there is to hate and take issue with at Myspazz....I continue to be there and write, and have now for the last 2 1/2 years.
Maybe I am just a glutton for punishment (because God knows I HATE the grand majority of people on Myspazz), or maybe I do it because I find that writing there is very theraputic and I can get things off my chest without fear of backlash (usually). LOL
My efforts have earned me places in the top 10 and the top 20 top blogs on the site several times, so it isn't all bad I think.
For all of its dysfunction, nothing ever working, the constant lurkers, and the slews of people that you'd swear their collective brain cell count wasn't above 2...I still keep coming back and what is the kicker is that I really truly LOVE that place even if it IS a big pain in my....well...you know
For people that would like to check out my posts and my page, I will warn you that it is a far cry from the format and rules here.
I hold little, if anything, back...and if you aren't a fan of honest, NON PC talk and topics, then I dont recommend you look. Just consider yourself warned.
My page IS private, so in order to view you will have to send me a message stating WHO you are, and I would have to add you to my friends and all of that nonsense. LOL Sorry after a slew of stupid people coming on my page and being...let's say...rowdy...I HAD to make it private because it was obvious to me that some mature discussion was being viewed by less than mature people.
But for those not faint of heart....

Ok I admit, some mysapces are alright, but the majority of them are crap, absolute crap.
Why make myspace when you can make forums?
Forums are 10x better imo, and are maybe more popular as hundreds if not thousands of members can join up (I saw a forum once, still around, that has i think 10000 or 20000 ir not 30000 or more members and over 1 million posts, it is a crazy forum in regards to the amount of members and posts there are.)
Myspace is an emo gathering point just like I said in a previous reply, and I am not going to be influenced by those bunch of idiots who like to cut and are bloody depressing, no effin way am I gonna be like them.
I have heaps of emos around me and their lives seem like crap, and I dont want my life to be like that aswell, so I stay away from them, or try to atleast (most emos are at school), and they are like the plague, everywhere we go we see them, now they have infected the damn internet WHERE WILL IT STOP!!!!
Myspace may satisfy alot of people, but there are probably more people that dislike myspace, and in my honest opinion, myspace should be banned, too many stupid people sign up for it, and that is where people turn into "them".
I think I have given my point now so I shall stop.

And to regards to the emocaust, I think I would rather die, oh wait, dying is what Emos do best, so I don't wanna become into one of them, perhaps I could just arm myself with a shotgun and perhaps a minigun and preapre for the emocaust, and if there ever is one, I bet there are millions if not billions of people that would wipe out the emo's, because there are a large majority of emos, but there are even more "emo haters" and I am sure they would do a good job of getting rid of them, the sooner the bloody better in my opinion, because they are depressing, wear crap clothing, fashion is horrible, the "cutting" bussiness is disgusting and terrible (taking their lives because they are depressed when they themselves MADE themselves depressed and put themsleves into this crap position), they way they are suicidle is stupid and bloody idiotic (why become an emo if you are going to be suicidle, it just does not make any sense, I would rather hang out with a goth person than an emo because at least the goth person would'nt try and kill themselves).
I know this from experience, seing emos at my school and their music taste sucks, just as PATD sucks as it is the worst band ever created.
Myspace.com worth it or not?
It is not worth the risk of getting one, as you may get influenced by these loonies that hang out on there.
For you're own sake, do not get a mysapce whatever you do.

a lot of anger there. you know there are many, and i will say that there are many more than 30,000 people on myspace, that use myspace as an outlet for the stresses in their lives. to compare a forum with myspace, a blog community, just doesn't make sense. writing and debating are too different things. there are those of us that use myspace to work out their personal problems and then there are those that use it to express their opinions. what you will find is that these people are just doing what is best for them. i am one of those that needs to write, and i like the fact that i can share my feelings and needs with my friends in this way.
by the way, i may be showing my age, but what is an emo. can't learn if i don't ask.

I hate Myspace!!!
Hiya Acu nice to see a familiar face around.
Myspace is a waste of space imho. I have personally had a few particularly bad experiences with it indirectly and now it is banned in our family. In fact there is no way my children are able to access it from home or school. It is way out of control Ack!!

1. Myspazz gives me a lot of satifaction. I could completely do without the crap pages and most of the dramas.

I am a little surprised actually.
Myspazz is like any community site...along with the good also come the bad the ugly and the indifference. It offers a melting pot and a meeting place. It is diverse and largely unpoliced.
See the problem?
It shouldnt be banned, it should be attended to and the things or people that are causing issues should be dealt with.
When I see things there that I know are outright wrong I report it...i try to keep Myspazz, even in its dysfunctionality, a decent place.
Like that insane Kyles post that I felt was largely INappropriate for anyone under the age of 18 to read....
Anything that I have written there that I felt was not appropriate for everyone, I have always set to preferred or at the very least to friends only.

CSPAN Book T.V.
I had the priviledge of watching an interesting program/interview this weekend on CSPAN book tv. They were talking about the new "Web 2.0 culture in America" and that it was directly related to the steep decline of business in the news and music industries. They also mentioned that the porn industry has taken the biggest hit to its sales because now anyone with the internet and a webcam can go take off their clothes and make a video.
I thought it was interesting because our web 2.0 culture was being hailed as the predictable to a capitalist society. That's right...apparently the communists were wrong but so were we according to some book.
They were also saying that Myspace should look at YouTube and how they have the ability to rate videos as inappropriate for matters of policing itself. At current Myspace has no such controls. People can either make their page private or not private with not much degree of filtering.
Apparently there is now some concern for the "googlization & wikization" of children. I guess some people are actually considering these sources of information like an Encyclopedia Britannica....which is odd considering the encyclopedia have so many errors.
