Gay people, are the any different fropm anyone else?

Gay people.
They are not any different then most of us.
Alot of people are gay, and I accept that.
I dont hate the gays, but I fear that if I get to close to a gay person, that they may start getting sexually attracted or something like that, and I dont want that to happen.
Thats the only thing that I fear may happen.
Gay people are no different to us.
Sure they have different ways of living then us, and their sexual intercourse is different as they have sex wiht other men, but there thinking and their morals and stuff are not really that different.
Some people may not even consider Gay people to be normalk or even human, and I think thats taking it to far.
They are human and they are normal except they do things a little different.
They may think the same as us but they are humans and we shouldnt cast them away because of that.

Many smart people today are gays, and that is alright.
You cannot help being a gay and you definately cant change it.
Some fathers cannot accept that their son is a gay, and instead of accepting that, they dont accept it and they beat them, try and find a way to change them etc, and really what they should do is love their son for who he is, not because he is a gay person.
Now if my dad ever did that to me, and if I was a gay which im not, I would be phoning the police and probably move houses.
Because a father should care about their son, not banish them because they have sex a different way and because they like the same sex/gender.
Thats not right and it shouldnt be.
Fathers should love their son for who he is.
I think we have a couple of gay people here at HC and I accept that.
Those people make excellent posts, and I know one in particular that doesnt like me very much but that is alright.
I have never not once teased him about being a gay and I wont do that, because it isnt fair and it isnt right.
Gay people have not betrayed their society by being gay.
A friend told me once that gays have betrayed the society.
And thats plain wrong, as how have they betrayed their society.
By being Born!!!
If that was it then that is absolute bull and it is not true in any way.
People should accept gays for who they are, not for the things that they do.

This should go in the other side of the mkonitor chat .
Every person chooses thier own path or destiny if you will.
Fear is fear itself & everyone fears somethang.
Not just men but women like the same sex too & usually are respectable to straight peoples feelings.
Basically as long as they respect that your straight, then you should respect how they are as well.
They are not here to hurt no you.
It's just that your not into it, just the same a guy liking older or bigger women, it should all be the same.
I wouldnt worry too much about it.
It's just like how you have a relationship with a woman, you stay faithful & love only her, it is like that also.
They say your cute, well it dont mean they want you lol.

William, you are doing an excellent job at copying information from Heroes Community to your forum an vice versa. When I first got into your forum, I got shocked. Most of the topics made by you were full of the stuff copied word-by-word from here. Now, you are doing it the other way around. I_HAT3_CT created a topic about gays on your forum. You are now copying the feedback from it, including my post:

Quote:
You don't understand anything and you still protest. My friend became a gay. His father tried:
going to psychologists
beating my friend
beating me (bad affect)
going to psychiatrists
going to hypnotizers
going to exorcists
trying to communicate with spirits
give him a house arrest
beating his boyfriend

In total, the guy spent a ****load of money for nothing. He just couldn't accept that his son became a gay. He felt "betrayed". But he couldn't change his son. After all, the guy told police on his father and the father was punished. Meanwhile, the guy fled to Holland and had a marriage. Now, he earns a lot of money, has anal sex with his husband and lives happily every after. In Holland, noone calls him a freak. He is happy there. I don't understand his father.

You can be born a gay

Quote:
Generally it can be said that being gay is not something a person suddenly begins to consider, and it may not be something they can initially put a name to. Research published in 1996 showed how the young gay men interviewed had described a set of feelings which they gradually realised made them 'different' in some way, and a set of feelings they thought maybe every teenage boy has.

This is exactly what happened to my friend. First, he noticed that porn is not giving him pleasure. His erections were worse and worse over time. He thought that it my be a problem with his penis, but everything was inside him. After a short time, he noticed that gay porn brings him pleasure. His first time was a gay sex.

Quote:
Some people do not have their first homosexual feelings or experience until they are well into adulthood. In a national survey in Britain carried out in the 1990s, nearly the same number of women reported their first homosexual experience had happened in their twenties as did in their thirties, forties or fifties. But, there is evidence that for some people homosexual experiences may well be part of a transitional or experimental phase in their youth. This is hardly surprising given that adolescence is a period of change in which many people find who they are and what they want for themselves in adult life. This kind of behaviour is perfectly normal.

American Psychological Association (APA), the world's largest association of psychologists has stated that:

"Homosexuality is not a mental disorder and the APA opposes all portrayals of lesbian, gay and bisexual people as mentally ill and in need of treatment due to their sexual orientation."

So don't think that gay are evil, because they are gay. It is the world that is evil, because it doesn't accept gay people as normal people. In Holland, you would be beaten up for hating gays, not for being one. Why can't we all be like people in Holland?

Just so you understand: it is plagiarism and it is illegal. Thank you.

There have been some discussion whether we all have bisexual tendencies and only through learning our cultural standards we settle to certain role.

Human sexuality is far more complicated issue than for many it would seem at first. It is just we have used to look it from certain perspective. We are told right from our life's beginning how we are supposed to be and how we should act and that is what causes the most trouble for those that feel different. They just never fit in.

People should understand it's different fact that some thing is in certain way and for what we strive for.

We all are different, but we must strive for some kind of understanding and unity otherwise we are just lost.
But we do all live in "different worlds", some people never seem to get that.

bisex anyone?

i think everybody has some bisexual tendencies. Let me explain. Everybody has need of love/intimacy. And although everybody has his or her sexual prefference when you are without those for a long time an urge may start to form. Wwhen the need for love/intimacy gets so great it starts to supercede your preference, and at that point lines start to fade and it becomes irrelevant who the other is, only the need to be with another human being remains.

That is perhaps the biggest BS byfar I ever heard.
When I came here I was lonely and I had only one male friend, sure I wanted a girl and I wanted sex and I wanted love and everything else.
And I spent so much time with that guy because he was a friend and I had fun with him, Sure I needed intimacy, but with a girl!@$!@ never even though about acting gay, I never was attracted to him or to any other guy. friendship between male friends is such that it's just mutual fun but it's never intimate... Unless you are attracted to males initially you won't be gay even if you never had sex and you're 40...

Now as for my point of view towards gays overall.
I don't care if someone is gay, if he plays master and slave with his boyfriend at night, in fact, I don't care, I don't know and I don't wanna know. The only thing I can't tolerate, ever, is Pride Parades.
Why would you go outside and state your sexual orientation, kiss you boyfriend at touch his intimate parts on the street. I DON'T WANNA KNOW WHO YOU ARE SLEEPING WITH AND SURELY NOT SEE IT ON THE STREET!#@%@!%
Sure you are proud of being gay, good job, have a medal of gayness, but why parade through my streets showing you naked behind with your boyfriends hand on it? You wanna get married, go get married, you wanna adopt a child? fine I don't care, even though it's a differnt story whether gays should be able to adopt children which I think not but I don't care for this discussion, BUT PLEASE, I DON'T WANNA SEE, I DON'T WANNA KNOW, I don't think it's right I do think it's against nature but Live and let live people, I really really don't want to see your bare bottom parading through my streets in a thong and an erection. The only thing those people know is Gay Rights, what about Gay obligations?!?! Why impose your orientation on others? I think pride parades should be banned.

Is somebody holding a gun to your head and forcing you to watch these parades?

There's a gay pride parade that goes right by my apartment every year.  And even though I think they're fairly entertaining and even though I make plans to watch it more often than not I end up sleeping through the entire thing.

gay rights/obligations

i agree with Friendofgunnar here, nobody is forcing you to watch gay men parades. They have the same rights as straight couples (at least in my country). You don't complain about straight couples kissing and parading the streets, and i have a feeling if there were a lesbian parade you would be far more interested. People are always quick to stand up against things which they don't like, never considering others. The world would be an extremly dull place if only things EVERYBODY agrees on would be allowed, i think literaly nothing would be happening anymore. Or would you rather go back to earlier last century where people would murderd because thier views or habits happen to differ from yours? Face it dude, there are things out there which you dont like, but harm no others, let them be, i am quite sure plenty of people dislike what you are doing

The root of most of the gay rights and moral issues come from whether you think homosexuality is something you're born with, or something you choose.  A lot of this goes back to religion, but I don't want to bring that into the discussion, since it seems to be a touchy subject for a lot of people...

Anyway, I guess a good deal of people against gay anything tend to think that it's a choice.  This might have been true back in the day.  I think it was Socrates that said that he preferred sex with men because they were more intellectually interesting.

But nowadays, because of the way society has changed, I think very few people choose homosexuality.  I could be wrong though, but most of the gay people I know said it just came naturally.

many people dislike what I'm doing?
Like what, working at a music shop? Ge hate me for that.
Gays don't bother me as long as I don't see them being gay on the streets and that's the way I am. Yeah it bothers me to see a gay couple kissing on the streets while a normal couple is not disgusting me at all. Why? Because I think gays are not natural and immoral. And excuse me but I work downtown right where the parade is going through, and I have like groups of gays coming into my store and that bothers me to serve them, this is why if there is somone else in the store in my department I let him/her help them. Yeah, kill me for it, it bothers me to serve men in thong, what a shame dread_knight. If a gay man would have walked into the store, in normal clothing, and just asking for help, gladly, I know he's gay but he is not doing anything with "in your face" attitude and just lives normally, I know he's gay, he knows I know he's gay and I have no problem with it. But sorry, I still think that when a group of men in thong walks into your store they are quite forcing you to watch, and forcing their orientation on you in a way like "here, look at me, i'm almost naked and my friend touches my ass, you have a problem with that?" Plus my office window goes right to the street, sure I'm trying not to watch but the music and some things you just can't miss and it bothers me.
Bottom line, I have no problem with gays as long as they don't do anything gay in front of me. Why? Because I think it's unnatural and nasty, there I said it.
And about the lesbian parade: No I wouldn't be more interested, since the real lesbians are not the lesbians you see in porn guy, stop deluding yourself.

The dislike part wasnt aimed at you personaly, the same thing goes for me too, and probably 99,99% of humanity, do something, anything and someone will dislike you for it. i do admit there is a substantial difference between passing a gay parade in the street and a pair of gay men kissing ( or what ever) in your shop, as it would be next to impossible to avoid the latter. However i do believe that if common decency is upheld (no exposed genitals, no public sex etc) i couldnt care less if a straight or gay couple is kissing or enjoying eachothers company. Finaly, yes i do know that 'lesbian' couples in movies are 'somewhat'different from rl couples. i made the staement because most mens problems with gays are with gay men, and lesbians seldom if ever invoke ire.

I stated that as long as gays don't distrub me with public displays I don't mind. I don't think anyone would care, it's not like I walk on the street and I see a gay person and I say "eeewww gay" I don't care, but if I see a gay person and another gay person kiss it makes me hurl. So bottom line again "live and let live".

You are right, lesbians seldom invoke ire, and that's natural, because men are attracted to women naturally and they don't care that this particual woman is attracted to another women, since the natural thought men think is "what can be better than a lady? Two!". So I don't really see your point that's just natural. (not the lesbian part but the way men see lesbians)

Yeah maybe that's annoying but it's only one day out of the year really.  I can think of a hundred other groups who annoy me way more than gays ever will, like smokers and bible-thumpers.  And that's a year round too.
