I guess in a small way, qps can let people know what kind of poster you are.
For example:
10 qps = good poster
0 qps = normal poster not good but not bad either
-5 qps = bad poster who has made some mistakes.
That might be wrong, but that is the way that I see how I can define certain posters.
I agree, some posters in the past may have been excellent and then they got alot of penalties and then some people who are new may see them as being a bad poster, but since they havent been here when they hused to have alot of +qps then they do not really know if they are a good poster or bad poster, it can be a little confusing at times, but if you have been here when the poster was good then you can say that they might be good but made some mistakes later on.
A qp does not define what kind of person you are, I guess you're posts do in a way and you're attitude, and all of that can contribute to that fact aswell.
Penalties are not the end of the world either, if you are on -2 like me, then that does not mean that is the end of you.
I have been going good for a couple of months now, not getting into any trouble with the mods or anything, and even though some members may not like me, that does not keep me from posting and coming here and having a good time.
In the past, I used to be a qp hunter, hunting for qps and all of that.
Since then, I have changed my ways, and not been so much a qp hunter, because qps are not everything, I now come here for a good time instead of begging moderators for qps and all of that, because that will make them angry, and it is not pretty when a moderator gets angry 
I got my penalties for disobeying the Code of Conduct and therefore paid the price, with getting some penalties and a 3 day ban.
I have since learnt my lesson, and I now think about why I say before saying it, because if I do not, then I might get in trouble and pay the price again and this time might be getting permanently banned which is what I definately do not want.
QP's do have their benefits though:
3 qps no 20 posts in 24 hour limit, no flood protect while editing I think.
8 qps no flood protect at all.
15 qps ability to rate threads.
Beyond that I do not know but yeah.
Penalties also have their things aswell, but I shall list them later, but I hope you get my point here, that's why some people are qp hunters because they want to be able to rate threads, have no flood protect and probably most of all, the ability to make more than 20 posts in 24 hours thing taken off.
I agree those things sound quite nice and I wouldnt mind getting more qps, but I am no longer begging for them, as that annoys people and it lowers the chance of me actually getting a qp, and isn't it nice to get a qp as a surprise?
I think it is good to get one as a surprise 
QPs should not be eaiser to get, but YOU and only you can make a difference and perhaps make it easier just for you to get, by improving you're posts, and making a change in yourself, perhaps by making a start in not spamming so much and flooding, and all of that.
Perhaps post in other forums like Tavern or Other Side and you have made a sart by making this thread in Turban Tribunal, which is a start from you're spam in the VW, bad spam in some people's eyes, and you should get away from that.
Just be yourself, and be happy coming here, do not worry about qps, post here for fun and perhaps if you do well in doing that, you might get yourself a qp, but dont become a qp hunter because that has alot of problems with it.

Hm...I got ignored here but anyway...
This is HEREOS community...So it's a forum dedicated to Heroes World...So I think people should get QP for good posts about HEROES game, for doing good things for HEROES game, not for making a lot of posts, not for making post which even aren't related to HEROES...THat's what I think...HC should really be more HEROIC not just a single forum, where you get QP for Writing a lot of posts which aren't related to Heroes game.....
EM...Anyway: who is WoG forum's MOD?
I'm asking because at WoG, ToH and other forum (which was mention by one person) people almost never get a QP...because MODs aren't visiting those forums, or they just don't care. If I'm not wrong Zielevitz is WoG forum's MOD..but he almost never shows up there...how can he even be a MOD?
I know that I won't get a QP for this post or for any other..but there are many talented people, who are doing their best at my mensioned forums.

I do not think that Ste visits that much these days either, I see Zielvitz around more than Ste, so perhaps get a new moderator there, because those WoG Mods hardly ever show up, like you explained BJ, I agree with you and I have seen some qp worthy posts that have been ignored or not noticed because the mods are not there.

This is a community created by Valeriy.
This is a place to get together for all heroes players to enjoy themselves.
Get to know each other & not all topics has to be based on heroes community.
This community later brought in all people who rarely even played heroes before.
I disagree 95%.
I agree 5% on heroes topics.
There is a forum that is based on Heroes of might in magic in many other forums.
I would suggest that you hang out in Heroes relataed topics if you do not approve of these kind of environments.

That's why we have different subforums. If u don't like any other topics but those about Heroes, just ignore the other forums, and also the +qp in those forums

ToH forum is just related to an online tournament (www.toheroes.com) and it would be hard to find many posts which are +qp material. WoG Forum has +qp rewards, but u should keep in mind, WoG is about ONE "addon" of the Heroes series. So the number of topics won't be that high, in opposit to the library for example, which contains everything about Homm1 - Homm3, Might&Magic, Fiction....Or even "Other Side" forum, were u talk about real life topics. And we all know how many topics the real life has...

Only because u don't see him doesn't mean he is not present. On the other hand, all Mods are humans, have their private life issues (school, exams, holdiays..etc...), which could prevent them from visiting this Community for a specific amount of time.

All posts on HC will be read by at least 1 Mod. If u think there is a post which deserves a reward, just mention that post in the "Feedback" thread of that specific forum. A mod will give u an answer soon.

I want to gain a Quality Point. I'm trying to do everything to gain.... Tell Zielevitz to look at my WoG posts please. When i reach 3 Quality Points, i give up, i ONLY want to disable the 20 posts per 24 hours baddie.

Nothing bad about that. The last thing I want to see is yet another preteen thinking they need to catch up to and surpass the goobers with the highest post counts here.
Here's a novel idea. Concentrate this need to be the best at something into the science project you've been putting off til the last minute.

whats so great agout your wog posts? i mean bigjocker has 1 red point (and i dont mean red star). if you got 1 red point you would be equal to bigjocker and that doesnt make much sense, no?

For example you should never post s*** but **** is allowed. That was one of my big mistakes And if you are angry about something; don't unleash your fury upon HeroesCommunity That was my worst mistake as you can see in Volcanic Wastelands forum. And try to make long posts. Also if you have reached your 20 post per 24 hour limit, and if you are gonna post some important thing, just delete one of your posts in in Volcanic Wastelands board if you have any; since they are already going to be deleted.

I honestly think it's crap how easily Stars are given.
Back in the old days they were so hard that people would try harder to get them & it was still hard.
Now all you have to do is say I love you Moderator & you get a QP.
I think it should be as hard as it was back in the days.
Also now it seems only thread starters get QP.
Back in the days not many thread starters got as many QP as people who replied to it.
Thats why there is more QP hunting.
You have to give it to the thread starters & not to replies that usually deserve it.

edit: Okay maybe that was just a bit cynical But partly true, no matter what we do we'll never please everyone. Well, except Lith. I just feel that no matter how much we discuss this, there will always be people that want more stars, and there will always be people that think there's too many. All we mods can really do is hope that for the most part you guys are happy and having fun.

The thing is that with the floodprotect, QP's are a fair bit more valuable to some people and we moderators have to recognize that. At the same time, we can't give out too many or else they will become meaningless. So really all we can do is try to find the happy medium and hope that it's good enough.
And yes, Aculias, that was very spontaneous of you... lol
