Ultimate Heroes 5 MOD - The HoMM 5 WoG

About

Heroes of Might and Magic 5: Ghost of the Past is project started with no commercial  purpose it represent an addon of Heroes of Might and Magic 5.

Why? - Heroes 5 is the newest title in the heroes series but it is totaly different... many traditions for the series are removed, like legendary heroes (Sandro) or  favourite creatures like the azure dragons. Many descriptions are changed, many heroes are dead and the story line is not typical for HoMM.

Ubisoft and Nival want for create new beginning for the series, with no links with the old HoMM games...

Other reason is that in HoMM the player haven't got the "same potentiality" like in Heroes 4 for an example, or that  the towns are not very well-balanced.

And finally the interface and the comic graphics + animations are really harassing sometimes.

Our addon will include:

# Renegades as a playable race;
# Drastic changes to the Necropolis;
# Different looks for male and female heroes;
# new neutrals, artifacts, heroes, spells and campaigns;
# additional features in menus and spell books;
# new legendary heroes, creatures and artifacts from the old series.

... and 5 new campaigns + many, many, many others !

Known bugs:

1. Sancrum is still named Haven
2. If you upgrade the Angel in Sancrum it'll become an Archangel not a Fallen Angel
3. There is a red square around the Campfires
4. The new Treant moves way too slow Sad
5. Neutral creatures bugs: Ghosts on the amp Spectral Dragon in battle. Mummy on the map: Black Knight in battle
6. The Ruined Tower (Adv map) gives you a Spectral Dragon.
7. The Sacrum pictures are wrong in town on the Adv map but in battle and in the creature view they're correct.

1. Testing:

We need more testers, the work of the tester is to play Heroess 5 GotP, before the MOD will be releaseed, the first test will begin very soon.

2. Programming:

We need more programings too, people with good experience in the programming or Heroes 5 modding can help us and we need them.

3. Graphics designer:

Work with Photoshop or other programm.
Work with 2D or 3D graphics.

4. Mapmakeing:

We need more single- and multyplayer maps, with or without the GotP additions. In Heroes 5 we need more maps.

This forum doesn't have to be dead.  It just needs Heroes 5 modders taking more of an interest in helping out other modders.  

I'm only just starting to learn all of what's involved in modding for this game, but as I learn I will work hard to share what I have learned.  

As for making a mega-mod, well I was never keen on those in Morrowind, but with Morrowind one can have multiple mods that affect the same things.  And with Heroes 5, only one version of each text document can be used at the same time.  So it may be needed to combine some mods to be able to play both.  

But it is necessary to get permissions from all of the modders involved with anything used in a mega-mod though.  Which can be hard, and occasionally impossible.  If impossible, that you just need to accept that that particular mod and it's content can't be used.

I have another idea for necro

lv1, and lv2 are the same, the gosts spectres become neutral. the wraiths become small creatures ---> lv 3. Lv 4 and 5 are the same (well the archliches are red ), lv6 are the Death knights and lv 7 the bone dragon

well the stone Gargolves are fine with the imp mod, i think Academy is good, although change the name from Djinn, Djinn Sultan to Genie GenieLord, thats about it for me really on that front

also whats the purple angel for?

We shoud make yellow angels they are better than white and teal. So amke yellow.

From: something liek the devil, but do not have staff. He attacks with his hands and the wist blade. He has got the horn of a minotaur, and his skin is grey, he has got big wins, his suit (not called suit) like the titan's.

Superseme Archlich

Hitpoints: 260 (Huh...)

Gionvanni: from HoF, the vampire. He will be the main character.
Naadir: an archlich (becsue he lich at normal Heroes 5. Or not?). He is the master of Giovanni. He takes part at all camping, he will free Giovanni from the prison (becuse Giovanni will get to prison at the ending of the fisrt map in the Necropolish Camping). The necropolish camping will be the last camping.

I think the necropolish camping shoud be eventfull, so it need about 10 missions.

At the 3th mission: Giovanni want to rescurrect the Vampire Prince, but he msut pass at the Door of the Doom. Naadir will take part at here too. There will be a natureal garison. It contains this army: 1200 skeletions, 700 Zombies, 300 Vampire Lors, 120 Archliches. If Giovanni go theourght it, at the garison, the guards halt him. But if he move further, he must fight the garison. If Naadir want to go thought it, he will be teleproted to the other side og the garison. So he can find the artifact, what he can rescurrect the Vampire Prince. If he want to go back, he will teleported again. Okay, we need to return to the Vampire Prince's Mausoleum. Mission finished.

Sandro: he don't take part in the camping (as hero), but he will act at cutsences. He will live and not killed by Cyrus. Yes, he is a lich. He will be the King of Undead, and he will Immortal.

Hmm..

I'd like to see a balance mod included in the megamod.

I could suggest:

Haven: Training peasants to archers disabled. Training peasants to footmen, footmen to priests etc 50% cheaper.

Inferno: Reduced resource costs of some dwellings. Less wood for cerberi dwelling. Grawl starts with attack instead of destructive. Alastor starts with dark magic. (to make other heroes than deleb usable)

Necropolis: Price for the bone dragons dwelling seriously reduced, especially mercury costs. Bone dragons no longer cost mercury. Spectrals have the incorporeal ability and are more expensive (+500 gold). Ore requirements lowered, since the town is impossible to develop without 2 ore pits or a ton of ore piles lying around.

Sylvan: wood costs reduced. Green dragons dwelling needs less resources to be built. Some hero with poorer specialization should start with warmachines skill.

Academy: Raksasha dwelling much cheaper. Mini-artifacts either cheaper or more effective.

Dungeon: Dragons dwelling no longer costs ridiculous 15 sulfur/15 crystals (impossible to get in MP). Maybe sulfur alone. Assassins' growth rate increased.

Fortress: Some heroes should start with basic warmachines. Thane dwelling costs 10 gems instead of 20. Dragons dwelling costs 10 sulfur instead of 20.


Well, that's all I have on mind at the moment.

there is no way that you can change the cost and the " what to be trained from to to to?( it might not make sense ) most of the changes you suggested are hard coded as far as know. so good luck to any one who wants to edite them.

There are some good ideas , but I'm not sure how to make new creatures, without replace old, but I think it is possibly. For the campaign... maybe we need more people for it then we need some map makers

2. upload to game
3. make five maps with them on and a hero

but were not here to make a faction are we? were here to make the Mod to end all Mods
