I dislike the Gargoyle, both normal and upgrade. Peasant and upgrade is too fat... a Peasant shall be hungry, not overfed! Imperial Griffin doesn't fit, it should have less steel in its face. Skeleton with upgrade is just pathetic, and same with Zombie and upgrade! The Treant is propably the worst looking creature in the game! Air and Fire Elemental is idiotic. Mummy is weird, and Manticore is

Its more Air looking then other HoMM games made it look... The others was a bit, off topic about the whole wind look... In HoMM2, all the elements was weird HoMM3 had a more icy look, and HoMM4 made it a bit more Storm looking, but a fat little one...
The only bad thing about this version is that it look like a cartoon ghost, (the eyes and mouth)

I would have to agree that the Air Elemental is high on my list of worst creature designs as well. The problem is, that it looks like a drawing. Where most of the other creatures actually look like something you could encounter (some might be ugly, some might not, and some might look more realistic than others), the Air Elemental simply looks like something took a white pen and painted a doodle.
The Fire Elemental also is a bit odd - I don't like the Cannons on the arms! - but at least it looks like a creature.

Yeah what is up with the stupid cannons on the fire elements anyway??
My personal ugliest creatures would have to be gargoyles I think (sorry doomforge, they just look bad imho )

No, you're not allone. I like those gargs also. IMO it's the best gargoyle look ever. Maybe that's because it's different form other part of series? But I agree their animation is funny, probably drawers have spcifical sense of humor 
I dislike some "new" appearances: inquisiotrs and trants (both). I prefered those from beta version - they looked more... properly for me. Those cardonal hats of inquisitor look weird and doesn't match them. Also treants don't look majestical and endure (for their stats, in opposite to older version).

I also like the gargoyles. The only strange thing is that they actually are able to fly And not to talk about ressurection...
The old Inquisitors made their comback with the Zealots, but they look kind of weird compared to them.
The newest treants make look a bit strange but they fitt much more into the rest of the sylvan design which is smooth and slender.

I like them, too. As I said many times, this is what Gargoyle suppose to be-Flying Tombstone.
And everyone says "their animation is suck". Their animation is funny! This game doesn't have to be serious all the time. ><
BTW, anyone has something against the blue Unicorn (named Silver Unicorn)?
I heard some comments about it, but I can't remember who was it.

Yes. Humor is alway good. Actually I could't believe the design of them when I first saw it - how was this cube of a thing supposed to fly? But seriously I don't care too much for the looks as long as they intercept enemy shooters or involve in armageddon strategies

First of all: I hate the silver unicorns, how can a SILVER unicorn be BLUE?!?!?! That is a weird colouring mistake...

Actually, that's what the stories say. You can find what I wrote, almost every word, in Lord Of The Rings.
It's written there that the Treants are living trees. They camouflage themselves in the forest, between the other trees.
Lord of the Rings is a subjective context. There is no "official" description of what treants should look like and act like and all that. You think LOTR version is cannon for any species used in it? Most are, I agree, but you don't need to take everything from it literally, there's nothing wrong with personal input. I still think the treants in HOMM5 look good as they are. Definately something that tells you not to f*** with the trees!

Well... They are tiers 1 and 2 creatures, so they in fact ARE PATHETIC. IMHO they look just as they should (especially archers helmets are great - they look so cute  )

For me, treants are the worst looking. They remaind me of an insect. What happened to the old dendroid soliders in H3?
And yes, imperial griffins have too much steel on them (for god's sake, they have eagle eyes, why would they cover them up with a helment)
