I can't stand the way our distributors translate games and movies.
I don't even know WHY they do it. For the mother of quake, it's year 2007, about time to learn english.
Not mentioning inserting polish voices into cut-scenes and so.
There are games where 50% of the atmosphere comes from the voices, and localization efficiently kills those games.

True, the marksman USES a crossbow, so he IS a crossbow firering guy.. but Marksman means "Merkesmann, skarpskytter", skarpskytter means sharpshooter, so you can basicly drop the whole skarpskytter stuff and translate it like its supose to be translated... Marksman <-> Merkesmann

Like xerox sais, there are plenty of names in this game that has no direct translation.. but we use (when we write and talk) the english words..
The sweeds however have more names then we (norwegians) have I think.. Either that or I'm just not that bright..
Love swedish though.. : )
EDIT: And oh.. I'll rewrite my entire list and make it more structured sometimes.. And sorry again if I pissed you off darkeye.. your prolly more experienced then me concerning myths and stuff..

Battle Griffin: gevechts griffioen, I prefer Strijd Griffioen
Goblin: kobold, a Goblin and a Kobold is not the same it should just be Goblin
Goblin Trapper: kobold vastzetter??? Goblin Vallenzetter
Goblin Witch-Doctor: kobold heks-dokter - Too litteraly translated should be Goblin Medicijnman
Your Centaurs (Kentaurs) are wrong the C in Centaur (In Dutch) is pronounced like an "s"
