Here are the system rewuirements for SC 2 at the moment.
StarCraft 2 is at the moment at the alpha phase and it's possible these could be final requirements. Of course it is, however, possible that the system values could easily change before release of this game.

Wow, those are some pretty big requirements. Good thing I'm planning on buying myself my own computer near the end of summer. The one I use now is the "family" computer, so it's got alot of stuff on it, and it's like 5 years old. There's not a chance that it could run SC2. Hope I can work up enough money soon so I can get that new computer.

Yes, custom races are fully supported, including the ability to choose them from the game lobby while playing melee maps, as long as the mod defining the race is loaded.
I'm sure you guys will love that  I know I'm excited!
Custom races! This is awesome! I really don't know how to put my feelings in to words now.
Simply breathtaking.
Think about it, seriously. Custom races supported by the game officially. Just plain awesome!

EDIT: Remember to check in at Starcraft 2 homepage, a New creature is out: Baneling (an upgrade for Zergling): They are just like the flying suicide things, just grounded. I think they would be great in huge numbers

Oh my god!! Custom races!
The moment I saw that, thousands of ideas started popping into my head. I woder to what extend a race can be customized to? Like, would you just be taking various unit models and changing the colors or will you actually be able to piece together your very own units?
I'm loving this game more and more.

OMG THATS AWESOME!
Its exaclty what i have always tried to do in Warcraft 3 for years but never been successful.
You can create custom units but not a selectable custom fifth factiom 
Sc2 is going to be awesome, just like alll Blizzard games 
And remember, BlizzCon is soon, time for annouchments for Diablo 3 and WoWs third expansion

They pretty much whipped up a quick thing about Char so fans would have something to discuss instead of complaining that unit or building updates were taking too long. But honestly, I'd rather Blizz not rush the game. I really want this game as soon as possible, but if it's rushed, it wont stand up to SC1. Plus, Blizz has more important things to work on (such as the game) than updating a website.

Its rather obvious that it is D3. EVERYTHING points at Diablo MMO and Blizzard owns Diablo3.com now.

@Xerox: I have to agree. It's exactly what they did for Starcraft 2. If that's the case, it's going to be a great time for Blizzard games in a few (read: about 1-2 years) months from now.

@mamgaeater: Correct. But, then again, it's a (somewhat) safe assumption to say that D3 will be made in the not-so-far future, given that the same sequence of events took place for Starcraft 2.
