They don't have own model. Only Campaing heroes have. There are own made mods what makes some heroes look bit like them tough.

That armour is great  And if you look on other Knigts they have good looking armour.
I love that the "Spider web" at her chest . It fits well with the spider theme...
I actully though Anwen was a Man.. And now its a girl! .. I got confused
He is so Great looking, he is so well done - Sad they gave him crappy voice

Also: notice how Agrael and Isabelle both have horns on their armor, but you don't see that on many others. Why did they make the important characters horny?

To avoid any more feminist rants, I won't comment that...I think you'll find my answer by yourself... 
As for the male/female thing, I only thought Anwen was female until I played with her for the first time - a few days after I bought Homm5 - and I read her history. And how can you possibly think Raven is a man? 
Further comments:
- I like Academy's artwork the most.
It just has that touch of exoticness, and it's very detailed sometimes.
Stronghold's nice, too.
- Nur looks...very nice! Won't she catch a cold on the battlefield like that? (Wait, no, she's a genie I guess...)
- Sinitar has lost a lot of his charm...Nice sleeves...weirdo. 
- Yrbeth doesn't not look heroic. She reminds me of someone's mom, who is not heroic either.

That reminded me that there were many portraits I did not like in H5. Many of the sylvan and inferno heroes look ridiculous.

Naah i don't think to many of the inferno heroes look bad i mean ok alastor, jezbeth, Nymus and erasial ok they overdid it there. Ehm ok ups that's allready the majority of inferno... I think they should give them a little less big horns and giant mouths and a much more armour and they should definetly be burning at some places. And they should have big weapons much like the Chaos Champions from Warhammer (not the mutated spawns thats plain wrong). And the female inferno heroes should just be pure temptation.
Basically i like all the other heroes concepts ok the necro necromancers look quite boring all pale and black cloths (raven and zoltan allmost look the same). And well the poor elves suffer a bit under their "happy-flower-power-tree-shagging-pixies" image but i never liked them anyway.
Btw did you notice that Deleb just has female skin stretched over her face dang thats scary...

Ew! I never noticed that, but it's a really nasty detail. Looks totally scary, too bad they did so poorly with incorporating these awesome artworks into the game.
