It can work in this way - *effect* is still capped on 5, while you can reach higher numbers. Since Necro with its new stuff can decrease Morale by about 10 there should be number you can be safe with.

Curse of the netherworld is quite useful now, afaik. With 10 sp, a necromancer can do a total of 2016 damage, which is quite a nice score. Ofc it's not empowered lucky meteor shower with slippers, but its still a potent source of extra damage. GJ nival this time.

What? It's insane damage, about 20 Palas...

The formula form AoH says its 144+12*Power on expert, so


12 x 10 = 120

120 + 144 = 264...

or am I wrong and Nival added new maths rules

Doomforge meant that you can deal summary 2016 damage to ALL the enemy stacks.

Even if yes, both spells still suck...

Besides, if you have 7 stacks in army, 264 x 7 = 1848.

Let him explain what was the point

Wow, they actually improved CotN and WoL - that's great news! I'd hardly say that 12 x Power + 144 Sucks - that's an Icebolt on each of the enemy's units! Notice that it now deals Water damage, so for all I know it might even work with Cold Death? I used to play with a Modded CotN / WoL which did 12 x Power + 60 Damage, and it was REALLY usefull, so I think we should be quite pleased with these changes.

I wonder, however, why they still retain the imbalances in Slow and Haste. None-mastery Slow is still 25 % reduction, whereas similar haste is a meagre 10 % Increase, making Slow much more powerful than Haste.

There are multiple other ways to increase your own troops Initiative (artifacts...), and not so much of hindering the enemy. So I would say it's quite balanced overall. Besides, the Dark path is always easier..

Cold Death Desription says it affects Ice Bold, Circle of Winter and Deep Freeze, only, while Ignite afftects *fire spells* so including WoL

Did you know wasp swarm reduces initiative?  Try using it at higher mastery levels you may be pleasantly surprised.


Only with the Summoning Magic skill. There are much better ways to achieve the same effect. Master of Storms or Ice (not as much reducing, but can hit multiple units with Circle of Winter) both affect spells that deal much more damage than Wasp Swarm, or Mass Slow.

Sure, you can't do either if you only go with Summoning Magic, but Fist of Wrath usually does more damage, and there are much better things you can do with your turns than to summon a 100 health Hive.
Not to mention that both effects don't work on undeads, elementals and mechanicals.
I suppose it works pretty well for creeping though, but I usually get by without it.

That's the code.  Open the Single Player map selection screen, highlight Agrael's Trial, click Activate in the bottom right, type in the code and press Enter.

Don't mention it.  Oh and only the Stronghold, Inferno and Haven factions are playable in the demo, but Nival left some of the new alternate upgrade textures and skins behind in their files.  No stats or other data though, just the graphics.

The other factions aren't playable in the demo, but all creatures are included on behalf of being able to show up as neutral creatures.

haven creeps are there a bit too .and no theyre not. any week of the whatever that isnt in the files is dumped as peasents.Only those 3 factions in the files

I found a few text bugs:

Hall of sins (upg building): allows you to recruit succubus mistresses succubus seducers---->there's a missing 'and' word (should be succ m AND succ s)

Also, blood sisters written as blood sisteres.

Hope Nival will purge them before the final release...
