Poll Question:
hmm vs. hmph!
So we've had this smiley right here ever since the beginning probably.
The code for that is "hmm" but I've never really thought that it looked like a "hmm". The little guy looked kinda frustrated, like he was trying to install H5 and hadn't yet reached the  stage yet. It looked more like a a "hmph!"
So several months back I set out to create a new smiley for hmm (not knowing at the time how utterly frekkin difficult it is to cram a facial expression into a 15 by 15 pixel grid.)
but I did it.
ladies and gentleman, "hmm"
side by side comparison:
choice #1: Make the current "hmm" into "hmph" and activate the new "hmm"
choice #2: Keep things the way they are
choice #3: The new hmm needs tweaking

No offense, but it looks like a heavily disfigured face more than any kind of an emotion. More work needs to be done before this can be added.

Here are some of those I found for "Guess da memba..." and other threads. I got oodles more, but some don't fit or are against the CoC. LOL I understand these are not everyone's cup of tea, but it'd be great to have at least one or two some day:

The HC smileys are what makes it so cool... Nobody uses them anymore except us, so they've become something like a trademark here  So I'm strongly against replacing them.
I'm totally for the new smiley though, except instead of changing , we should add it as a separate emoticon (maybe :blargh: or :gwargltron: )

I really liked your "hmm" but a the mouth bothered my a bit.
So I decided to edit it!
I just edited the mouth a bit and that's it.

i decided i would have ago, but i think the only poor point about the smily is simply the eyes, they are normally little dots, but now there like  's eyes, so here's my go...
EDIT: damn, i thought is was too easy, oh well, you get my point anyway

yea it is. You can choose your smiliy that will be your post icon, but if you choosed one and regrets, and don't want anyone, you can't deselect, but then you could chose the blank icon

I love the HC smileys too, they are so cute! But I agree that the emotion of hmm is more hmph or :gwargltron:
GL that is interesting what you did there, fog's does look stoned but I think leggie would be proud
