@Kareeah: Hmm...so which way do you consider is better for the RPG updates:
a. Using the character names at all times.
b. Using the character names in dialogue and the username everywhere else.
Whatever makes it clearer for you guys...wouldn't want to confuse you all...yet.  
EDIT: Ok...I'll just use the character names at all times.

Thank you! I find character names to be easier to follow in-game. (And our usernames are to the left of our posts anyway, so it isn’t as if it’s a big secret of who’s who.)
Correct me if I’m wrong, but so far we have:
Me: Mina-Pidgey (M)
HodgePodge: Hoothoot (M) “Oswald the Wise ” (she is a Hoothoot, rather than a trainer with one—I think. Correct me if wrong, HP)
Mytical: Misty -Zigzagoon (F) “Stripes”
AlkarRahn: Stacey -Rattata (M)
OmegaDestroyer: Omega - Zigzagoon (M) “Zero”
TitaniumAlloy: Beast -Pidgey (?) “Toast”
mamgaeater: Draloed -Sentret (F)
MightyMage: (Data Unknown)
Korejora: (Name unknown) - Zigzagoon (?)

Oh, by the way, did you guys truly think the Charizard was going to stop at the island instead of resuming its pursuit?

‘Course not, why do you think Mina asked? ‘Course, I also don’t know what all we can do against him—I’m guessing he’s Paralyzed, and damaged from Elder Saha’s Raichu, but still. That’s what the Pokedex is for, I take it?

Another question (hopefully I'll run out one of these days ) : How much are our characters supposed/allowed to know about the world? Am I going to need to have Mina whip out her Pokedex every time she comes across so much as a Magikarp, or do our characters have some basic knowledge (some of the more common Pokemon species, rudimentary type strength/weakness knowledge, knowing what a Pokemon Center is, stuff like that)?
Edit again: *eyebrows arched* 'Anti-Charizard Cannon' Omega?

Actually, it's just set to Charizard mode. It's really an Anti-Pokemon cannon that does 3,000,000,000,000 damage to any pokemon it hits.
IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE!!!

You have strength/weakness knowledge and you know what a Pokémon Center is. As for species knowledge, you'll probably have to whip out the 'Dex anyways.

And you should definitely join the War of 5/8 Kareeah! If you don't understand anything, I'd be happy to help.
As for using the Pokédex on your own Pokémon to know what it can/cannot use...nah, I'm not that strict. Besides, it's your Pokémon...leave the 'Dex for the opposing Pokémon.

The following is a list of moves that each Pokémon can use at Level 5:
Sentret
Scratch - Power 40 - Accuracy: 100% - PP 35 - Type: Normal
No Added Effect (that is to say, all it does is damage )
Foresight - Power N/A - PP 40 - Type: Normal
Eliminates all evasiveness bonuses of the foe's Pokémon (including those granted by the Evade command I added. )
Defense Curl - Power N/A - PP 40 - Type: Normal
Increase the user's Defense by one level. (A stat can go up or down by six levels)
Pidgey
Tackle - Power 35 - PP 35 - Accuracy: 95% - Type: Normal
No Added Effect
Sand-Attack - Power N/A - Accuracy: 100% - PP 15 - Type: Normal
Reduces the foe's accuracy by one level (approximately 10%).
Zigzagoon
Tackle - Power 35 - PP 35 - Accuracy: 95% - Type: Normal
No Added Effect
Growl - Power N/A - PP 40 - Accuracy: 100% - Type: Normal
Reduces the foe's Attack by one level.
Tail Whip - Power N/A - PP 30 - Accuracy: 100% - Type: Normal
Reduces the foe's Defense by one level.
Hoothoot
Tackle - Power 35 - PP 35 - Accuracy: 95% - Type: Normal
No Added Effect
Growl - Power N/A - PP 40 - Accuracy: 100% - Type: Normal

Friendly reminder to all players that I did add Defend and Evade to your command list...so, if you were looking at the videogame "console", your commands would be:
Attack Evade
Defend Switch
Bag Run (can't run from this fight though )

Finally got my post in order (and with the right theme music now o_o‘). And I do want to compliment you on your portrayal, winter. You had me thinking this guy was going to be level 70-80.
Also, I incorporated bits of your post to make it seem more interactive (so Mina isn’t just a wooden statue whenever an NPC speaks). Hope that’s okay. :Z

No problem. I read it and it's perfect!
However, the previous update was the last one for a bit (I'm trying to lure more of the players to the battle and also I gotta go to bed; college tomorrow...*sigh*).
I expect to update it again tomorrow (possibly) or Friday (more likely).

Edit: Oh BLAST. I forgot Sand attack is Ground and Charizard is part Flying. WHY did I think it was a Normal attack? I'm not taking it back though; it's the sort of mistake a newbie trainer would make, and the idea is to distract him, yes?

don't worry kareeah even though certain moves can't affect certain types there are exceptions. Sand atack for example is one of the few ground moves that can affect flying pokemon. That is unless they (nintendo) unimplemented it.

What about Rattata?
Looking at the Bulbapedia thing, he gets, at least, Tackle and Tail Whip. Generation IV says he would get quick attack too, but I'm not sure about what your plans were.
