serebii.net is a good place to look up info and yes he stated that we are playing with the 4'th generation moveset.

Oh, phew! Thanks, I feel much better now.  I was concentrating so hard on the idea of not-getting-roasted-by-the-huge-Charizard-thirty-five-levels-higher I didn’t think to double check the attack type. -_-‘ Hopefully that’ll teach me for next time.

@Kareeah: mamgaeater is right...Sand-Attack can affect Flyers/Levitaters.
@SWST: Sorry about that! 
I apologize for that, but you seem to have figured out the moves Rattata can use at Level 5 already. 
(And yes, we're using the 4th generation movesets.)

Yay, I didn’t waste my turn! *does a happy little dance* Of course I also didn’t do any damage, but…maybe the accuracy reduction will help…maybe…

Anyways, where are MightyMage and Korejora? They haven't posted once in the RPG and MightyMage hasn't posted here at all since the very beginning of this thread.

I don’t blame them; they got rushed out of port by our unwanted guest and are playing host to a bunch of dusty-shoed trainers. There’s plenty of opportunity for dust and sand on the deck. Or at least that’s how I rationalized it at the time.

I'll probably update this tomorrow...but can't make any update guarantees for Saturday (it's my birthday, and anyways, my dad tends to use the internet on Saturdays, since that's the only day he has the whole day off. )

Winter how many moves can we have. you suggested six but that charizard had only four.
and are we ever going to be able to search some grass patches for more pokemons?

@mamgaeater: Well, this part of the mainland is too arid for tall grass to grow. The few Pokémon you guys will be catching will be those around (or in) villages and inside caves and other such dungeons (in other words, no grass in the actual routes).
As the adventure progresses, you may find tall grass...but not yet.
And yes, you can have 6 moves per Pokémon...it's just the Charizard only had four (did you really want him to have 6 moves? )
@Kareeah: True...but it learns Gust at the mentioned level...which reminds me that, in the videogame at least, Wing Attack >>> Gust (and Starlies can learn it at Level 8; Nintendo screwed that up, IMO).
