The whole story.  Antipaladin doctored the bourbon he knew Mr. Nasu would take that evening with knock out drops.  He flirted with the Cook as a means of having an alibi for most of the night (he had planned on knocking her out also if she had agreed to his advances).  After he left he grabbed the umbrella, some scotch (which he didn't know Mr. Nasu was allergic too), and one of his napkins.

He climbed out his window, and forced the den window open, knowing Mr. Nasu was alone and by then out cold.  He strangled Mr. Nasu.  While he could have just poisoned the bourbon, he wanted to do it personally.  He then poured the remaining bourbon into the umbrella, figuring it would dry soon enough and leave no trace.  He wiped the remaining bourbon out, and filled it with scotch.  He then made sure the scotch was spilled.  So that it would look like Mr. Nasu had been suprised while drinking his drink.  He then climbed out of the window, and back into his window.  He cleaned everywhere but missed a bit of dirt on his window.  He disposed of the bottle of bourbon and scotch later.  All the other clues were 'red herrings'.

Like your suggestions so far.  Stating what room, what items, and the limit.  Want everybody to get a chance, and to have fun while doing it.  Ok, update.  Have the crimes in mind (yes you heard me crimes as in plural).  Still working on all the evidence, and who to hcm about being a suspect/the murderer.   Before I do, anybody want 'off the list'?  Need those who joined during this mystery to HCM me so I can remember to add their names.

Mytical, since you usually are here after midnight your time, what if we made a "round" midnight to midnight eastern time (11:00pm-11:00pm HC server time).

Players can search no more than 3 rooms per "round".

The 3 room limit would include the rooms where the NPCs are. So in 3 days, they can search 9 rooms. Talking to NPCs would work the same way as searching rooms, because only you as hostess can answer them.

No limit on the number of places people can go just to talk to other players and ask them questions. In other words, if the players are online you can talk to as many as you want.

If you want to speed up or slow down the game, you can change the number of rooms per round.

Unfortunately forcing people to find clues sort of defeats the purpose.  However, I am going to make a few minor adjustments.  The first of which is posting the 'suspects'.  Only one will recieve an HCM, and they should deny it to their last breath.  .  Remember that Alibi's are almost important as physical clues.

Motive, means, opportunity.

Also, please besides your first post (which everybody starts in the room that the murder takes place) please state which room you are in at the top of your post.  You will all have 'walkie talkies' so you can talk to other players at all time.  Also, no more 'clue hiding' all players will be aware of all clues found.  Remember, some maybe red herrings, and of no importance.  NPC's can not lie now, though players most certainly can.  2 new NPCs.  Groundskeeper and accountant.  The driver has been replaced also.  Remember, the prior mystery has no bearing on this case.

Besides the initial murder scene, you can only go to 2 rooms in a 24 hrs (and once you leave the murder scene, it also counts if you return to it).  I will also clearly state which rooms the NPC's are in, though they may not stay there.

Stay tuned for the actual mystery and suspects.

Ok, first the suspects (remember they may have had NPC accomplices.  Or they could be working alone).

Guarder, Ceres, Elvin, Cepeus, Spectrum.  One of these 5 will recieve the infamous "You did it" hcm.

Mystery (there are actually 2 for this one, and it is possible that one person did not do both..)

It is 2am in the morning.  Everybody hears a loud scream, a crash of thunder, and whatever lights were on went off.  Moments later the butler calls everybody to your host's room.  Lady Mytical is missing, and a masked intruder is on the bed face down, with a poker sticking out of his (after the mask is removed it is discovered the intruder is male) head.

A few minutes later the tv clicks on by itself (by timer).  A video tape starts playing.  "If you are wondering where Mytical is, she is hidden somewhere on the grounds, with exactly 3 hrs worth of air.  If she is not found by then, she will die." then the tv clicks off.

Nobody knows why the 3 hr limit, nor why somebody would kill somebody who obviously meant Mytical harm, just to put her in harms way.  The video tape doesn't help any, the person's face was blurred, and the voice electronically altered.

There are signs of a struggle, though since the masked person was killed from behind, it was probably not from them.

((Now how the 3 hr thing works...it takes 10 minutes per room to search for Mytical or hidden passages.  Doesn't matter who searches or how many, 10 minutes per room (just to make it simple).  Each person who travels from room to room takes 5 minutes.  Questions take 1 minute apiece (yes I know that this is high in minutes, but again for simplicity)))

Currently ALL npc's are in Mytical's room (do to the yelling).

The groundskeeper is in the room where the murder takes place, so you don't have to travel anywhere.  Everybody was brought to the same room by the butler, who discovered the dead body and the fact that Mytical is missing.

Going in order of posts .

Garage - As it is raining furiously outside (we are talkind torrential downpour) it is difficult traversing the distance, but you finally make it.  Inside the garage you notice a wet tarp, pretty big one also.  A trail of water leading both to and from it, and a shovel missing from the wall.  A through search turns up nothing further in the garage.

Den - A through search of the Den produces no clues at all.

Murder Scene - A through search of the room indicates that the door was neither forced or picked open.  The intruder had to have had a key.  However, a search of the body turns up no such key.  The fireplace was used (it is winter after all  A map is found in the fireplace to the house, and a diagram of the house with a red X where Mytical's room would be.  Somebody tried to burn this, but obviously had other things on their mind and did not recheck to make sure it had been destroyed.

Whoever used the poker used gloves, so not much help there.  The tape also is pretty much a dead end. However, the person did know when and how to set the TV.

The intruder looks oddly familiar to everybody, but can't quite be placed at this time.

Who would normally have a key? And are there any keys in the house other than the ones people have?

Is anyone in the room wet?
Is there any water on the floor?

OK, just to make things perfectly clear. Upon closer inspection of Mr. Pokerhead, is there any posibility that he has some kind of abnormal growth that resembles a poker, and it's not really a poker at all? Like maybe a very long wart or something? I once knew a guy who had a wart that looked just like a piece of crap and everyone went around calling him ****head all the time.

ok, on to the foyer.
*Inspects the foyer, floor and inside the closet.*

Water in the room - not much but a little.  It is a decent distance from the front door, and it is apparent that they did not come through the window.

Keys - Only Mytical should have a key, or somebody she really trusted.  Maybe the butler as well.

Wet people - Only mr. Pokerhead, and no the poker is NOT a growth, it is a real and actual poker.

Ok besides wet footprints into the foyer area (for obvious reasons), there appears to be drag marks down the steps, and out the door (not wet however).  As if something or somebody was dragged out the door.  However, that would make a lot of noise, yet nothing was heard.  (Maybe because of the storm).
