Because Anti, he wasn't in the room (ie you decided he went with you, not him) with you.  And you havn't the authority to arrest him.  If you want to accuse somebody that is fine, but the cops have to be called for any arrests.

Edit: and no fighting please.  This is all for fun.  Oh and the cook has no clue when the cabnet was gotten into.

Anti, even a police officer has to follow proceedure.  It is proceedure that any officer that was present when a crime was committed has to call others in and let them handle it.  There is a little thing like warrents to consider.  Now, if they actually see it done, that is one thing.

Guys, please if you are going to fight, do so in a volcanic wasteland thread.  The object is not to arrest each other, or fight with each other, or such.  It is about solving the crime.

Each has their own profession, and they all happen to be cops (detectives).  So, each person has the same 'authority' as anybody else.  However, go ahead and state your case.  Here is what you need.  When, how, why.  The evidence has to support your findings.
(Means, Opportunity, Motive)

Edit: The butler admits that he has first hand knowledge that somebody was, but not who.  He had seen a letter to that extent, but there was no name on the letter.  The others let you know that the Butler was the one who told them.

Does the butler have that piece of paper still with him? Is it written with a pen/pencil or is it a print-out?

No, but he knows that it should be able to be found in the Attic.  Mr. Nasu kept everything in a box up there, but the butler is not the type to pry into others business.  The only reason he saw the letter in the first place is it had no name on it, and tried to determine it's owner.

Yes, but was it written with a pen/pencil? This might help us with hand-writing ... (and if I visit the attic, I won't find much )

Ok a few things .

For those who have problems with post maximums, feel free to HCM me questions, ect.  So that you can more freely participate.  I will post all hcm questions and answers.

Also, common sense knowledge.  Ok while you don't see anything found by somebody else, if you are within earshot you can overhear any conversation.  Only the bedrooms, attic, and basement, are not 'within earshot' of each other.  (so everybody knows the conversations currently held).  This is to make it a bit less confusing and less neccessary to ask the same question of the same person many times.

Somebody here knows who was being blackmailed (ect) by Mr. Nasu, however, even the npc's can lie.  Remember that.  Finding them AND getting them to tell the truth is your all's responsibility

To paraphrase a question from Ceres, who is questioning the Butler.

"So you took bourbon to him.  However, because the bottles have scotch in it, isn't it possible there was scotch in the glass you took?"

"Absolutely not!  I am a highly trained butler.  I know the difference between scotch and bourbon.  It was undoubtedly bourbon in that glass.  The two are not difficult to tell apart for an untrained eye, let alone somebody of my experience and training."

Edit : Besides, strangulation not alergic reaction or such, was determined the cause of death.

IMPORTANT CLUE : Ceres and Watcher83 have just stumbled apon a very important clue.

Edit : yes other important clues have been found, but wanted this known.

Also from Ceres.  She asks the cook if she seen anybody enter the Den.  The Cook did not, but seen the Chauffer in that area around 10:30pm (not in the den however).  It did not seem important and had slipped the Cook's mind.

Edit : Ceres tracks down and asks the Chauffer.  Who didn't see anybody, but seems elusive and nervous.

What a mess. I listen a bit to the conversations but I'm not entirely sure what to do, I'm sure I have missed something from all these
Everyone is looking around like mad trying to sniff out the killer. I think I'll go check my guest room to make sure nobody has put anything there to frame me(but also to relax a bit) and then visit the cook in the kitchen. Admittedly I'm a bit hungry. Maybe I'll be lucky to find a clue there.

Everything that can be found in the room with the cook has been found.  The cleaning person (the maid) does tell you that Mr. Nasu kept a box of things in the Attic.  She doesn't know what is in the box.

Also...

1) Did Mr. Nassau had high percent of alcohol in his blood when he was found? No.
2) Was any of the guests present on the protestions against Mr. Nassau's company? No, however, it could be a relative of one of the guests.
3) What can I find in this room?
Well the main thing here is the napkins.  None look like the one found.  All the ones here are really fancy.
4) Do the butler or the cook feel that anything is unusual or missing here? No, unless you count the bourbon and scotch.
