So, my sister was at a con and with all the sweet swag she got, she also brought me a bit of manga I had never heard of.
The Violinist of Haamerun or something like that is the title. Wikipedia tells me Violinist of Hameln and that there are no official English translations. It's by this Watanabe Michiaki guy. First I thought the author's name was something like Tohen Doumei or Tohendou Akira, but neither of those names made any sense.
Apparently it's about a guy who battles monsters by playing his violin. A violin that that looks more like a bass or something really. I'm going to have to doubt the choice of magical music being the medium of battle as music is audio while manga is visual and verbal; you can't really convey the music unless you plaster a bunch of sheetmusic on the comic panels.

So that was the last Black Lagoon OVA, now subbed.
With the manga on hiatus things seem sad. 
One of the best series out there is pretty much over. *sigh*

They made an anime series of it. It never got released outside of Japan but the story is actually pretty good, if a little sad. You can download it on Animesuki.
Back in the day there was also an SNES game of it in Japan, a side scroller based on a more chilish/comedic version of it. It was made by Enix I think.
Edit: The site I mentioned also has a Chrono Trigger OVA and an outright disturbing show called Ebichu about a perverted Hamster.
Edit2: Oooo, they also have Akage no Anne, the Anne of Green Gabled anime that was I believe made with the help of Studio Ghibli (but not directly by them, you can see their influence though)

I would advise skipping it. It's pretty, yes, with fantastic animation, but the storyline is pant-on-head-pencil-up-bum-rats-on-nipples-utterly-butterly retarded.

I used to really like Hellsing until there was the ridiculous wait between volumes 9 and 10. It was almost 2 years.

Ah it's been so long since I watched the first Hellsing OVAs... think the last one I saw was the one where Alucard fights Rip... or well, fight is kinda overstating, rape is a better word.
That trailer was pretty epic, got massive goosebumps at the mayor's waving in the beginning  So awesome.

Reading Lunar Legend Tsukihime right now...
Just picked it up randomly, pretty nice so far. Like the art style.
This manga is based on some japanese ero-game? What kinda badass epic kinda porn is that?!
Weird.
EDIT: Man this manga is actually really badass, very good fighting scenes and awesome characters. I recommend it.
