I was kinda let down with the first 10 minutes of Berserk.
It didn't copy very well the feeling that the manga gave me. The manga on those same scenes was dark and gritty as opposed to the anime being too bright and glorious.
Well, whatever. As long as they leave the storyline intact, I suppose I can take it.
BTW, has anyone watched Gyo yet? I see it didn't get good reviews.

I judge anime solely on the awesomeness of their opening vids.
Thus Black Lagoon should kick untold amounts of ass.
It was already on my to watch/to read list so... now it's even more on the list.
EDIT:

This manga makes smoking look way too cool.
Never tried and never will, but damn it's stylish at times.

Though Revy's intelligent speeches get 50% dumber(contain 100% more fuck) in the english dub compared to jap dub.

Goddamn they really nailed the control system and cockpits on the mechs in this one. Design is awesome as well.
Music is very nice... battle OST in episode 2 sent shivers down my spine.
The fights are so far very well done, captures the sense of speed very nicely. Mechas with surfboards ftw.
So... way better start of the series than the original had.
Story seems to tie in heavily with the original too... very fanservicy in that department. You should probably have watched the old one before this one to get full enjoyment.
So nice to get a HD release so soon too... fansubbers working hard yeah

Why would anyone put a mecha on a surfboard? Makes no sense.
Also, I totally quit watching Mirai Nikki when it was coming to a conclusion. It got so ass-pulltastic that the twists don't even make sense and the main character's motivations are all over the place.
Also there are two things I'm beginning to get tired of when reading manga or watching anime or even playing the weird games I play. Those two things are timeloops/timetravel and comedy about girls getting all worked up about breast size. The latter one especially gets on my nerves as it feels kinda like one of those things that you wouldn't really give a damn about, but no you gotta make a real big show number about female character A having "huge tracks of land" or character B getting upset about having a more modest set of breasts. It's ok like the first few times, but when I run into in higher densities, I just wish for a death of cancer and dysentery upon the guy who first popularized that routine.

Because AWESOME.
Reading the manga version of the original Eureka Seven right now... a much more darker and serious tale. Bet Joonas would like it.
I heard the new anime is at least partially based on the manga version so... felt right to read it as well.

Renton is less of an annoying shonen, and the bad pacing of the anime is nonexistant.
Yeah it's pretty good.
I've finished all of it in an hour or two, just a bit left. It's not very long, story moves on very fast.
EDIT:
Just watched episode 4 of Eureka Seven: AO.
LOVING IT. I really like how they keep updating the opening bit by bit as more is revealed in the story... really awesome move. Makes me excited to watch the opening every time.
Action was top-notch in this one. The combat has always been a secondary thing to Eureka Seven, with it focusing more on character development, but damn it's awesome at times.
MACROSS MISSILE MASSACRE INCOOOOMING!
About 1/3 of all the targets she locked on to are visible by the way. This is one of those things that I just nerdgasm over in mecha fights... multi-lock-ons followed by complete slaughter.
I really liked the teamwork in the combat scenes.
Elena enjoys roleplaying other famous characters it seems ^^
All in all it's REALLY FRICKING AWESOME imo. So happy that they're doing a proper sequel to one of my favourite animes.

I dunno, he's kinda random.
Compared to your average weekly shonen manga, there's an insane amount of work put into the art though. Ya can't really expect him to keep a normal release pace.
But yeah, he's probably gonna die before he's finished it.
EDIT:
You could read Eden: It's an Endless World! meanwhile. Fricking love this manga, best fight scenes ever.
