to HOS or not to HOS....
...that is here the Question
well there are a lot rumors in Zone . some are true some are BS but the latest one is about a homm veteran everyone knows that got caught cheating an an other HOMM tourney.
he cheated and it proven but i wonder why nothing happens. he didnt get booted or punished by the tourney in which game he cheated , and as far as i know toh didnt boot him too.
I just ask myself what would have happened if a newbie would have done that silly map editing ? i think he would have gotten the boot imediatly.
i asked some players why they think he didnt get the boots and answer was like " he got too many friends" or " he is a good known veteran" but for me that are reason to punish him even harder. he didnt just cheat the player he played he cheated all of is friends by editing the map.
would be interesting to know what the other toh players think about it.
It wasnt a toh game he cheated in . Should he be put in HOS even if it wasnt for TOH ?
my opinion : yep cheaters should be put where cheaters belong. no matter if it was a fun/toh/hk/myth or whatever- match
what do other TOH players think about this ?
I just dun want that this "case" is closed and noone talks about it just because its a homm vetran every TOH player surely knows

I think I know who u mean, but doesnt really matter who it is. My opinion is that if he did it in another tourney, why wouldnt he do it in a ToH game? Maybe the HC members can look at the situation and decide, but if it is clear cut, ban him. Veteran or newb, it is no excuse

Hey Triviaschaaf ,
I have heard the rumor you speak of but I have yet to see proof. The people I have heard the rumor from are not people I trust that much. And that's what this comes down to, doesn't it?
If I have known and played a person for years and they say that they have not cheated then I believe them more then a rumor. It's all about trust.
I love playing Mad. I know his past but I trust him to give me a good, clean honest game. And with a known veteran like you are talking about you face the same trust issues. Who do you trust more? The person being accused of cheating or the accuser?
If the honor council proves these rumors then I agree with putting the offender in the HOS. The HOS is the best way to warn people about cheaters.

Hmm, cheaters SUCK!
I dont play in TOH too much in season 4, but IMO. This person should be brought out and identified. Of course he should only be identified if he was in fact caught cheating in this other tourney.
That way other players that may not be aware that he was caught can choose to play him or not.
Personally... once a cheater always a cheater, especially when the player is supposed to be a `TOH veteran'.
As far as him being in the TOH hall of shame.... well he did not cheat in TOH and therefore no reason to be in TOH HOS. But... he should be identified here or on the other tourney site (if it has any guts) and identified.

if people cheats... give us their names so we can see who theese people are... Comon this is a tourney game.. cheaters are NOT allowed so i dont care whos friend of whos friend this is... cheating is the lowest you can get when playin computer games. A person that low should not be allowed in TOH. What is wrong with you people... Homm makes cheating so easy that its terrifying and people caught in such dishonor action should have their names listed and forever banned.

if the game was not a ToH game, then I don't believe such should be on the ToH HoS ... but I believe some investigation should be done for his ToH games.
If i play a cheater, not for toh, then i could care less. If it's not ToH, then it's only a game to have fun, nothing more.
veteran or plebe ... same punishment.

What do you guys say if i will say one idea " 95% of toh(famous, top or just well known) players, are cheaters".
What is cheating? Editing maps, replying turns in the other way, looking at saves, breaking rules....if all this kind of cheating, if so, then there are no real honorable(not-cheaters) players in toh.

according to this one phrase "once cheated-always cheated" is sounded really funny

as I said: 95% of active, famous, top or just well known players are ...
cause most of them i played, and i'm listening my friends, my personal friends, with whom we are sharing such information. but most information are from my games. its not secret that i played in toh, in all seasons, in all tourneys more then 700 games from may 1999. so i can accumulate much info, dont u think so?

flamingo: maybe 95% of your friends replay turns different, or look at saves or whatever, coz i really dont know where else you could take those facts from.
i know i never did 1 of those mentioned things, and i know a ton of peeps where im 99% sure too that they dont do any of that, just coz if i would only replay 1 move different i wouldnt earn to win the whole game, id rather loose.
and i hope all who do that and read this feel like crap now

95% cheaters
Im shocked to hear a statement like that flamingo, really i expected more from u. But i guess u didnt learn your lesson from previous bad experiences, which i actually thought u had.
I can for one say ive NEVER EVER been even close to cheat in a game and i can also say that out of the 95% amount u say are the top players who cheats i can say that simply isnt true.
Furthermore i would way if u have such a view on the game why play then?

how do you think escaping loses, do not answer opponents, if he is low rank, newcomer is kind of cheating, i think thats kind of it...
