errm sorry to say that but its kinda frustrating when a non participant who is too afraid to take part in the tournament trace the mistakes of other player. You were doing it all the past tournament so show us now what are you made of!

Why don't you join, Adon? Even if you get trashed, it's nothing to be ashamed of (I got trashed in the first Tournament Final in the battle with Fortress vs Haven as well, it just happens - sometimes all your luck goes away from you and goes to the enemy)

Awww you guys are great, such community!
But I am going away for a work trip to London starting this Sunday for a 9 days, then I am around a bit but off to Jamaica for a week before Xmas, and then the holidays away again so it would be really hard/impossible for me to play on my home pc this round, honest!
But you have convinced me, I will play in the next round as I'm around in the New Year until at least February. I guess its not fair to shoot my mouth off about the replays if I don't provide any.
@Arcax, sorry if the commentary on the rematches bothered you, I really am trying to point out the cause of losses as either being player made or if some factions just have no chance against another faction even if played very well with no mistakes (ie balance issues). I didn't mean to cause any offense!

Don't mind that, comments are welcome. As long as you participate in the next round 
I have began fine-tuning the faction balance in the meantime. I think it's clear that haven and orcs need a slight nerf to make them a more balanced choice.
For now I have removed 4 wyverns from stronghold and 2 champions from haven, also minus 5k gold to avoid seeing full champion training. I will run some more tests with each faction..

I have to agree I found Haven & Stronghold pretty overpowered.
But that doesn't change the fact that Dungeon is somehow "overpowered" against Haven (and all high-defense factions), because the defense is almost wasted.

In the tournament I haven't lost a single game against Dungeon when playing with Haven...

Of course, especially if you get the correct +50% artifacts for your spells.

Haha...no...no one chooses inferno and because of that I think they might need a boost.
I also think Sylvan needs a smaller boost than inferno, but a boost none the less.
Agree for a slight nerf to Haven and to a lesser extent Stronghold.
Dungeon, Necro and Fortress are pretty balanced in my opinion based on the replays I've seen--they all seem to win/lose based on the player skill and a few random terrain/artifact/lucky hits. Who am I forgetting?
Ack. Academy. Tricky to balance for sure, as they have so many tricks up their sleeve and so many ways to go. I haven't seen enough replays using them with the later versions to make an opinion.

Nah people are too weak to handle true infernal power! Pussies 
I have already given them ring of unrepentant, cloak of sylanna and armageddon is banned so there is no way to defeat them easily. Also they don't have to fear enemies having a longer reach through windstrider boots. They even have the easiest time against phoenix due to cold death..
I will post some replays with the new balance, if anyone has suggestions post them. Those who want to help with the testing contact me for the map.

Nothing happened maybe its good that someone gives advices. HF in Jamaica and GL in another tournament!

Ok my PC doesn't want to work anymore, today it froze and now doesn't want to load Windows.
I'm posting from my laptop now, which has very low specs and can't possibly play H5. I don't know when I'll fix this problem, but I hope it will be before the tournament starts.

I still think dungeon is overpowered against necro. When your units have no more than 11 initiative and 7 speed, and your high level creatures (lichs, wraiths and dragons) have low hit points and 0 magic immunities, you just have no chance… 2 empowered meteor showers are enough. Easy, fast and boring. 0 strategy and 0 skill involved.
Necropolis should start with Cloak of Sylana IMHO; that or at least forbid the casting of meteor shower in the first hero turn. I can't think of any other solutions.

This is a general think, it has nothing to do with Elvin's map. Dungeon is very strong against necro. It takes a lot of skill from the necro player to defeat dungeon. Giving them that thing that reduces earth spells won;t solve anything since a fireball, circle is more than enough.

Maybe but lvl 3 spells cannot target as many units and then there's a possible phoenix to dispatch. I think I'll go with that, should reduce the gap between the two factions.
Meanwhile I have further decreased haven's gold by 5k, if you train fully you cannot afford many artifacts.

You also have to think about other towns that use destruction against them. Dungeon is not afraid of necro pheonix

I could add a hut that offers it at a higher price so that it's not given by default.
Edit: 7k should do. A bit steep so you'd better need it desperately
