ToH players come and gone
I wanted a nice topic off the basic hit and run/honor talk, and talk about some of the players of past seasons, and heroes2, some who play today, others who we havent seen for a long while.
TroPPo - A top heroes2 player in the oracle, he was one of the first to register in TOH season I. He even opened up a division. From australia, one day he simply 'disappeared' from the community. I havent heard from him since. Anyone know of his whereabouts?
Slugtard - A top contender, very active TOH addict, and eventually honor council member. Somewhere in season II he mentioned personal or financial problems (?) and had to leave ToH and online gaming. Anyone know whatever happened to him?
Tara722 - A low-key ToH player in the beginning, never could tell if it was a he or a she, but very emotional. An addict for a long time, after being booted for 'constant presence of negativity on the zone', she ran a one-person anti-ToH but play Asheron's Call zone spammer. For a while he/she/it would come and go on the zone, telling heroes zoners to join AC. Last I saw of he/she/it, was about a year ago, a quick visit with another calling to AC. Anyone ever see this player come back for another visit? Or is this player possibly in TOH now, under a new name?
100s more players to talk about, will post over time. You guys (especially the 3-season vets) should post about those players you remember that have disappeared, and maybe me or others have insight to where the went

Well Ves, first of all nice topic
First of all I know I aint a 3 season vet, but just a 2 season vet, I hope u bear with me.
Ppl I remember with fondness are Ralfbo, a great danish player who always told me he was spammed by russian players coz he beat Flammy season 1 
Other great players I miss is Endor, who recommended me back when u needed a veteran`s recommendation to get into TOH, and Franen a swedish player I had loads off fun with in season 2.
Other ppl I have no clue as to their whereabouts is Sultan_999, I remember him specifically as Í talked alot with him season 2 and wrote a mail to u Ves, about giving him an Honor Medal.
I still keep ur answer in my folder, as it was extremely uplifting to me, where u said he was allready giving one at the next badge, as loads of other ppl had recommended him.
Guess that was all for now, but I know their are plenty off ppl I have forgotten to mention, or some who I thought had gone, but always come back, like Lews_Therin

ah yes
Ralfbo - A top player, early on, but seemed to fizzle in the end. I remember him saying his name was from 'rambo' but his name is Ralph... you get the point.
Endor - Heroes 2 veteran as well, he comes and goes it seems, he has joined and left TOH several times. There was an early infatuation with Phoenix Nemesis, or perhaps the other way around. (Dharcness on TOH). As far as I know, endor still plays to some degree, just not online. I also think I heard hes into one of those massively online multiplayer RPG games.
Jan Franen - Great guy, skilled player, but by far the most frustrating person I've played, with analysis of every rule that is made (hence why I avoid rules now) and non-stop complaint if there was something that did not go his way.
Sultan_999 - Temporary retirement, he will be back
Dagmund - Never knew much about her, except for that
picture on the photo page. There was some accusation of her map editing a while back....perhaps that is why she left.
Salpinx - Very honorable player, not sure why madunicorn says elitist... very similar in style and attitude as destro23. Salpinx actually did join TOH season IV, but he is busy with 'life'. Im sure he will be back for homm4.
AndrewDraconis - I dont remember that guy, though the name sounds familiar.
Sindy_J or catalysis - He left ToH to play in online RPG's but said he may be back for homm4. Also a bit disenchanted when I ended up paying a team to do automation for season IV. (He did the automation for season II-III).

Slugtard - Great player with uniqe sence of humor, hope he will be back some day.
AndrewDraconis - I played tons of games with him. He was allway fun to play with. Ves, he was one of your volunteers.
Dragoncone - I will allways remember that guy. He and Valein(great player too, was on zone few months ago) were playing with newbies as partners in allied games. For me, he was some kind of "Greystole" guy of season 1. I learned few things from him and that was enough for my heroes adiction.
There are some others, but cant remember their names right now

I really miss Shura.
Russian player who didn't cheat. Hard to believe I know.
I staid up many a night (afternoon for him) playing with him in Vesuvius Heroes Challenge.
Remember Denob, Rob? He was the original cherry picker.
Of course I miss Prometheus the most.
I think Troppo left for everquest which is the same as prometheus.
Jarcik was a cool guy.
I know you already mentioned Slugtard but he was so cool I wanted to mention him again.
Tara was hysterical. Annoying as hell but you had to admire her fortitude.
I miss Khayman a lot also.
And Salamandre and Frank...even though they haven't been gone long.

i just wanna mention Endor! Great danish player who actually became some sort of mentor for me. i think it was early in beginning of heroes2 and i signed up in this tourney. i played versus Endor 10-12 times and i think i had my first win after 9 losses I almost succeded in talking Endor to join Holger Danske but unfortunately I lost him.

I just saw Prometheus register. Player #3166 for the season.
Pietaccj, he was the king of newbie killing, sometimes I wonder if its chunhyangi lol. Pietaccj was from korea, came back under a new handle but lost interest pretty quickly it seems.
Ethric the Mad was a russian player actually, a friend of volshebnik's I believe. Anyone remember Volsh? I cannot forget him; that pretty much triggered the whole TOH-is-anti russian nonsense. A long time later though, he contacted me on ICQ, and needed some html advice. We made peace.
BlackMagicWizard, man he would actually get mad at me and pesonally insulted that I wouldnt let him be a volunteer for TOH. But the reason was simple; he was an unreliable 15 year old. When I gave him the short-lived 'ask the wizard' duty, it only lasted for 2 weeks.
-its interesting to recall these players, and whats come of them.

nice topic, I remember most of players.
I really missed:
Troppo - he show me in the game real good heroes skill, and after his dissapear from ToH i talked with him only few times, when sent Birthday Congratulations
Ralfbo - he was really cool, when he beated me 2 times in one day, on one map(DL) i was very impressed. but after it never give him chance to reply this sometimes he is coming online in icq and we are talking. real good guy in life too.
Endor - I played with him my first toh game and it was very intresting. he gone from toh several times and always coming back. I talked with his girlfriend few weeks ago...
Raider - one of the most addicted toh player, second my "general killer medal"... he played good and beated me not once and not 2 times. i like talking with him, he always joined my divisions, when i have free room. I saw him in icq periodically
Slugtard - i remember him very good, but played with him only few times, he was different, sometime nice sometime not very nice, but we are talking sometimes in icq about past times... he gone not about money problem, but because of love of all his life.
Frank - real good player, but not very good in talking and receiving his loses he never dissapear, he is always online he just "tied from heroes" , according to his words.
Salamander - in season 1/2 we had real nice games, after it he told some secrets to community that he shouldnt and we stoped real friendship. but we stays as old heroes players and we are talking sometimes, reminding that times... When i was in Spain he thought to visit me there, but havent money in that period ((((
Franen - past addict player, but he prefer real life, not virtual. he want friendship between all people, thats impossible in heroes community . he gone to make world better
Jarcik - good player that come and dissapear from time to time, he is good opponent and nice guy. he wanted to visit one of Saint-Petersburg Heroes Tournaments, but cant come in that time ( he will come back soon, i think
Valein and Pluton - 2 friend, 2 good players and good ally. i received real pleasure when played with him. Platon is only one that dissapear and i heard nothing about him from that time...Platon where are you?!!
Ethrik and Volshebnik...they had not good toh history, i had personal problems with both of them ,and dont miss him , Volshbnik was good player, and he even was in my first division from it appearence, but show so bad behaviour so i dont want to talk with him...and Ethrik...he is playing sometimes now, so you can catch him on me vs you map and play him
Lone Chinchilla - nice guy and nice player, first HC and one of first my opponents...he dissapear and not showed from that time...
Barnabas - one of members of Endor-Tamanrasset community i'm talking with him from time to time. he is trying to learn me in real life... now he just care more about family(he sent some photoes of his children and wife ), tennis and making real life more comfortable.
I wouldnt mention many russians players that gone from top positions, because i cant forget to say one of names, but i remember all
but now we have some good people too...so lets join their comity, while they are with us

Platon and Anachor!(him and Anachor good friends, from Germany- I played them before ToH), Racij_K(very good japanese player, had to stop online gaming when he left studyinign Canada to return to Japan.
Some more... forget their names, but I need to mention Endor- he was first person to beat me online. I still remember. When Tower could gets 1,000 gremlins week 1. He got Solmyr and D-door on Divided Loyalties... augh! ;-)
Also a few players who barely played in ToH, but very good players- not seen them around in awhile, not since season 2 of ToH. Teetotalhurdler or something like that- Brasilian player.
Ohyeah, Raider of course... I think I've had about 5 unfinished games with him. Always we would start some x-large two layers maps and play for days in season 1 and then disagree about what rules we had- lol, still it was fun to play him.

lol volsh wasn't the tiff over u not replaying turn exactly as u did before? bad ves u know thats not good play
raider that damn person taught me a thing or two about heroes
god i cant remember all the "fun" vets from days gone by and heroes 2 vets dont mean much to me considering i wasn't around for much of it lol

One of the first people I met online was Stagus Turan. Haven't seen him since season two, when he turned me on to his site http://underworld.fortunecity.com/goblins/144/main.html
He was very helpful to me as a newcomer, and shaped my attitudes toward helping other newcomers.

Vu - I saw him come to the zone, about 6 months ago. I believe he is playing other games now, lost interest in homm. He is definitely an addict, just that his addiction went to another game. Probably see him back in homm4.
Raider - Wonder what happened to him. He was the very first TOH addict, an 'upstart flamingo' lol. He does tend to leave and come back spontaneously, and expect him to come back for homm4, (if he can afford it).
Platon - I always compare him to Lews Therin, same skill, both from germany, both analytical. Platon was even a TOH volunteer for a while. It seems whenever lews is in TOH, platon is gone, lews goes away platon comes back
Salamandre and Frank - Both appear on the zone regularly, I noticed frank has signed up again in TOH.
Jarcik - Longtime veteran from homm2 days as well, divisions holder and a skilled player. It seems though that his skill couldnt hold up later in TOH days as others got better, and he also lost interest in playing multiplayer homm online.
