I think I'm finally starting to figure out women
It's been an "interesting" three months since I broke up with my ex (a.k.a. The snow). The day after the incident I was invited to a bar by some girl who works at my bank. She said the best cure for my messed up feelings would be a couple of drinks. So I went. Had a couple of drinks...then a couple more. I don't remember the entire night but at some point I wound up back at this girl's apartment. I woke up the next morning with a splitting headache and was an hour late for work. So yeah, probably not the best idea.
I decided that minus the over drinking, I liked going out and having fun. Meeting new people and all that. So I started asking out more people. Girls I worked with, some I met in bars, etc. and all was going ok. I wasn't necessarily looking for anything in particular. I figured I needed a break from relationships. Besides, if other guys were out there "doing their thing" with countless women, why should I be excluded? Then I started thinking about these women I was going out with. Some were just looking for fun. Others though, I guess they thought I was something more.
I think I was becoming that which I used to hate. I put down my ex for her promiscuous life style and the fact that she slept with six other guys while she was still with me. I wasn't really much better though. I was going down the same path. That's not the type of guy I want to be.
Now as far as the title of this thread goes, yeah, with all my dating I think I've began to figure out how women function.
Most women will say one thing but will subconsiously mean or think the opposite. A girl will say she wants a good guy who treats her right, respects her, supports her, and will be there for her. Not quite true. Sure, a girl wants that...in a friend. There is a subtle difference between "treating her right" and "treating her the right way". It's all about reading in between the lines and how you interpret it.
I'll use a couple of my dates as examples.
A girl will always choose a creative guy over the cliché guy.
Whenever you see the word date most people can relate that to something simple like the old standby, dinner and a movie. Bad idea. A girl can go to dinner and a movie anytime with anyone. Even if you pick a fancy expensive restaurant and dress in nice new cloths you may not be considered for a second date. The reality of it is, something different or creative is what will catch her eye.
Example: Sarah
Sarah is a hair stylist. Cute one too. She tends to get asked out quite a bit. She rarely accepts. Guy before me asked if she'd like to get a bite to eat sometime. REJECTION! I'm up next. We start to talk and all that. I find out a bit about her. Then I ask her what she thinks about the season, considering it seems Christmas started in July  She laughs and agrees. She says she likes the decorations. There we go. My cue. There happens to be a Christmas Light festival every year around this time. I was thinking of checking it out. Would you like to come along?
She says yes. This is a simple yet different date and something she might enjoy. Other then that I've also placed the idea that I'm going regardless of her decision which leads to the fact that women want a guy who cares about them....but who doesn't care.
Let me explain. There is caring and then there is caring too much. Now this doesn't apply to ALL women but most need their space and usually wont say it.
Example: Kalee
Nice looking girl with long brown hair that I work with. She likes me but she also likes playing hard to get. That's fine because I've adopted the attitude of go for it. Play your games. You're not the only girl out there. So I help her out at work every now and then and every day that she sees me she asks for me to come over and keep her company. Conveniently though, I'm busy most of the time. I'll spend some time with her and we've gone out a few times but I know something that I can use to my advantage. She wants me and a person always wants what they can't have the most. I "ignore" her a bit and sure enough I have three text messages and two missed calls on my phone asking how I'm doing and when we can go out again because she really likes spending time with me. Yes, she does like to spend time with me but if I was with her every time she wanted me to be, chances are she would get tired of me.
A girl also wants a guy to take some charge. As much as women want to be equal (which they are. I'm not a chauvinist pig ) they would prefer a guy to take charge. That means you can ask their opinion about what they would like to do but in actuality YOU should plan the date. Also, don't patronize a woman. They know.
Example: Liz
Cute, kinda skinny, but not bad looking. Also, really smart and talented. We went to a pretty cool Mexican restaurant followed by watching some college band preform. She's a music major so she was pretty into it. After that she asked if I wanted to hang out a little longer. Sure, why not. So I asked her if she played pool. She said yes but she wasn't that good. At this point you might think I'm gonna let her win. Wrong. I'm not an expert but I also will not belittle her. She might just be better then me. Who knows. Either way, a girl will prefer the talented pool winner over the guy who just lost to a girl who stated she wasn't that good. Then if you try to cover up your loss by saying you let her win...yeah, let me know how that works out for you.
I'm not claiming to be an expert and not all women are the same...but most are.

Chauvinist pig! Like the thread, you make some good observations as I was saying to phoenix right now. The treat right vs treat the right way is so true as is the male being in charge yet showing concern, an option for the girl to voice her opinion. I've seen enough to know that they are suckers for that, pays off if your best friend is a girl 
The other sensitive issue is them often saying things they don't really mean, they are just to be taken with a grain of salt. They are always leaving hints for you to pick up and see how you will act on them. Better to think why they are saying the things they do, there is usually something behind it.

I can see alot of people.
I think She keeps alot of personal stuff to herself which is ok.
She is smart & she knows what she wants to do in life.
In the same time, I think she wants to keep some things a secret.

In my opinion all the girls want is attention and attention not only from 1 or 2 guys from every1 and then they can say they like u but at same time flirt with some1 else...

I think what you are saying is pretty much true with anyone tho.
If you act like you want to be friends with a dude too much, he'll think you are a loser who has no friends and probably not hang out with you too much if at all.
Just find out what the girl likes to do and then ask her to do that thing.
I think people overthink the opposite sex way too much.
Oh and your ex is probably trying to use you for something. Don't go back to her. If she's that much of a snow, the only thing you should consider doing is nailing her, last of all being her boyfriend again.
Rule #1: Don't have relationships with snows.
