Thats quite the understatement.
Wc4 taking on the actuall timeline after Wc3 could work, atleast there would not be gaping plot holes all over the place.

Doomforge, please dont make such stupid statements when you dont know anything about the lore progression in WoW.

You might be suprised by the fact that Blizzard pays just as much attention the lore in Warcraft 3 as in WoW.

Yes, it is a stupid statement to say that WoW is not canon. Then why would they spend such as an large amount of time and rescourses to create lore content in WoW?

Dagoth, I guess you played an undead warlock using a Succubus. Then you entered Shadowfang Keep and got lost and then killed by the elites there

Like it's hard to understand anything in World of Warcraft.  There's a good person who gets corrupted and people band together to stop his/her evil plan.  That's Blizzard Plot 101.

Or if you want more depth, there were some old powers that decided to create the universe, began fighting, disappeared, the younger races prospered until they had a falling out, insert good guy turned bad scenario.  The in the future, Blizzard laughs itself all the way to the bank.

i can make lore as good as wow in 97 seconds!!

an elf, right, and elf no 2 elves!! they were walking around some place, we'll say a mountain, but because you cant look up with camera angels they didn't realize it was a volcano!! ya a volcano full of orcs! They started to hear this "boom....... boom>......boom......." and it was shaking and stuff so the tried to look up but couldn't, then some other races came off some ships and ran at them and they could do nothing but run upwards but they couldn't climb stuff this steep so they were jumping, sliding down a bit, then the volcano of orcs erupted and they were pouring out of it, but the elf found a cloak of invisibility, and the other found a ring, so they wore them, and the orcs tripped over them and by the time the other races got to the volcano all the orcs were killed from breaking their necks.

It was this day that some kind of divine being decided to train the elves to not be so incredibly useless anymore.

and they had a baby with a mutant fish or rat, not sure which, and had some other race

You shouldnt talk about things you have no clue about.

Sure, there are a few corrupted people like Loken but its certainly better then making a sauron and becoming evil without any reason. Most corrupted people are in areas with Old Gods and the Old Gods use whispers to make others mad.

Before WoW there were lots of corrupted people too. Lady Vashj and the Naga overall. Illidan. Arthas. Archimonde. Grom and all orcs. So that concept existed way before WoW.
And in Warcraft 1 the Orcs were created from slimes by evil warlocks A good retcon

What? Do you mean Titan and Burning Legion etc?
The story is like this in a short summary:

The Titans are a powerful race that "shape" planets and help them evolve etc. Azeroth was once a chaotic place, where primodial Elements ruled.
The Titans came to Azeroth to order it and locked away the Elementals into the Elemental Plane.
When the Titans left their constructs were supposed to watch over Azeroth alongside the dragon Aspects which had been based on the primodial proto-dragon called Gakarond.

But the Titans had not noticed a second, far more powerful force ruling Azeroth. The Old Gods.
The parasitic Old Gods spread the Curse of Flesh, rendering the Earthen useless. The creations of the Titans changed from metall and stone into flesh. So the Titans returned.
They soon saw that the Old Gods infection over Azeroth was so strong that if they were killed, then their host (Azeroth) would be destroyed too. So the Old Gods were chained beneath the earth.
The Titans created new Iron constructs that could resist the Old Gods and then they left once again.

Over a hundred thousand years passed untill something major would happen on the peaceful planets of Azeroth.
Long ago, the Titan champion Sargeras had been on a mission to wipeout the sinister Nathrezim. The Nathrezim lived within the chaotic Twisting Nether and ahd been mutated into demonic beigns from its energies.

But Sargeras himself was alerted by the energies of the Nether. Sargeras also watched how the Titans destroyed imperfect worlds and wiped out all life on them.
He began to doubt in the Titans plan to bring order to all the worlds in the universe. Slowly, the energies of the Nether turned Sargeras into something else and soon he saw that he had turned into the enemy. Into a demonic Dark Titan.

Sargeras created the Burning Legion and the Nathrezim or Dreadlords were the first ones to join it. Soon, Sargeras noticed the planet of Argus where a powerful race called the Eredar lived.
The Eredar were a very advanced race and had large knowledge into the arcane. Sargeras thought they would be very good servants and soldiers in his Burning Crusade campaign.

Back to Azeroth 10,000 years ago.
The most powerful nation on Azeroth was the Elven Empire (it has no name, but I guess it would be called the Quel'dorei Empire) where the Highborne ruled.
The Highborne looked down on the rest of the Night Elves (or Kal'dorei). Despite this, the other Night Elves loved their Queen, Azshara.
The Highborne used Arcane magic in the most reckless ways, and the Dragons warned them but they did not listen.

For the Burning Legion, Azeroth shined as a beacon of power and might. Arcane echoes were sent out from the world, reaching out to the Legion.
The Legion were quick to turn their attentions on Azeroth (which also had the incredibly powerful Well of Eternity).
Sargeras introduced himself as a beautiful god to Queen Azshara and she was soon conviced that Sargeras was far more powerful then Elune. Azshara even started to get in love with Sargeras, and she said that only a God would suit her.

The Highbourne fell to the Legions deception and started to summon Demons to Azeroth. And soon Azeroth found itself in a global war, raging across all continents.
The Night Elves gathered under one banner known as the Kaldorei Resistance to fight the Highbourne and the Legion. The Highbourne were close to summon Sargeras into Azeroth through the Well of Eternity. In the end, Mal'furion Stormrage was forced to use the energies of the Well of Eternity to nuke the entire continent, resulting in the apocalyptic event known as the Sundering.

The world Sundered, splitting the continent and half and sunking the central parts. And as the Queen felt that the water was breaking through her shield as she and her nation sunk, she heard a whisper. Whispers from an ancient evil. Whispers from the Old Gods. The Old Gods gave the Highbourne a chance to have revenge on the world. Azshara changed. Her body mutated. Tentacles sprouted out from her skin. She and her highbourne turned into monsters. The Naga.

It would take 10,000 years before the Legion would focus on Azeroth again. 10,000 żears of plotting against the planet - the only planet to have withstanded the Legions wrath.
During this time they consumed several other worlds and fought the Titans.

Instead, the Legion had focused on the planet of Draenor, meaning Home of the Exiled. The peaceful Draenei (once eredar), meaning Exiled Ones, lived their in harmony with the tribal orcs.
Untill the Legion come. Kil'jaedan appeared as a god to the Orc leaders and said that he was the most powerful of the elemental spirits. Kil'jaedan said that the draenei could not be trusted, and served as a threat to the elemental harmony.
So Kil'jaedan told them to drink the blood of the annhilian or pit lord Mannoroth and so the Orcs did.

The Orcs turned into a bloodlust and the Warlocks spread the fel corruption amongst the race, turning their skin color from brown to green. The Orcs now started to exterminate the Draenei and defiled their holy temple of Karabor - now known as the Black Temple or the Black Citadel.

The Orcs had conquered Draenor but other worlds awaited. Back on Azeroth, the Guardians protected Azeroth. They were humans infused with arcane energies.
The Guardian Aegwynn sensed a disturbance in the Storm Peaks, a strong demonic power.
Sargeras had sent his Avatar upon Azeroth. Aegwynn slew him and buried his body under the ocean, in the Temple of the Moon in Suramar (now known as the Tomb of Sargeras).
But it had been Sargeras intention. Sargeras had flew into the pregnant Aegwynns belly and it was now he who controlled her child, Medivh Aran.

During Medivhs early years he was in a coma as Sargeras took over his mind. Medivh became a Guardian and a powerful wizard.
Together with Gul'dan on Draenor, Medivh opened a portal between the two worlds.
The Orcs invaded the contiennt Azeroth and razed the human capital city of Stormwind. The Orcs spread north, through Khaz-Modan and into Lordaeron where Stormwind refugees had settled.
There the Orcs burned down the forests of Quel'thalas etc. But the Alliance of Lordaeron rebelled the invasion and pushed the Orcs back to their fortress in Blackrock Mountain and then progressed to push them back through the Dark Portal.

The new battlefield was on Draenor where the Alliance expedition fought the Orcs and won. Ner'zhul opened several portals to escape Draenor, but rifts presure was to strong on the planet and Draenor imploded, becoming a single fragment known as Outland or the Outlands. The annhilian Magtheridon seized control in Outland.

The Legions plan had failed. The Orcs were supposed to seize both the Eastern Kingdom and Kalimdor in preparation for the demons return. But it didnt matter. Both Lordaeron, Azeroth and Khaz Modan was already weakened and the Legion had a new plan.

Kil'jaedan himself found Ner'zhul and turned him into a new being known as the Lich King. He hurled the Lich King down to Azeroth on the frozen contient of Northrend.
There, the Lich King was watched over by the Dreadlords and he begun to construuct an undead army.

Soon the Scourge sweept over Lordaeron and devastated it. The Legion was ready to return and Arthas had become the Lich Kings champion. The Legion invaded Azeroth once again and attacked Kalimdor. They almost conumed the World Tree Nordrassil but failed as the races of Azeroth had banded together.
Following the Third War, Illidan had consumed the powerful artifact the Skull of Gul'dan turning him into a demonic being.
He took the a group of Naga under his command and searched for the Eye of Sargeras on the Broken Isles so that he could destroy the Lich King.
The Scourge had turned against the Legion and Kil'jaean wanted to see him dead.

Illidan almost succeeded in destroying the Scourge once and for all. But the enviromentalist Mal'furion Stormrage saw that Illidan caused global warming on Northrend and stopped his brother.

Arthas had become the Lich Kings champion, but because of the Eye of Sargeras the Scourge had become weakened and even split.
The fallen and cursed high elf Sylvanas started a rebellion against the Scourge and she almost succeeded in killing Arthas. Arthas was forced to return to Northrend to assist the Lich King.
Illidan (who had taken control of Outland) was about to reach and destroy the Lich King first so Arthas was forced to take a shortcut through Azjol-Nerub and Naz'anak (hello Moria).

Arthas duelled Illidan ontop of Icecrown but lost. Arthas told him to feck off and that he never wanted to see Illidan again.
Kael created a portal back to Outland and the Illidari returned their, awaiting Kil'jaedans judgement for their failure.

Arthas merged with Ner'zhul and the Lich King hibernated for 5 years and was located in his own mindscape together with Ner'zhul and Matthias Lehner, his humanity.
He throw out Ner'zhul, granting him all the powers of the Lich King for himself. Later he threw out the boy Matthias too, losing all remains of his humanity.

6 years passed. The Alliance and the Horde retained their pact though they still fought each other, mainly to piss each other off. During this time Stormwind suffered a large conspiracy between Pirates, Bandits, Dragons, Naga, Orcs, Nobles and Cultists.
The Night Elves lands had suffered much and they created a new world tree on the isle of Kalidar.
Teldrassil, the Crown of the Earth.
The truth was however that they only made it to restore their immortality which they had sacrificed during the Third War. The tree became unblessed by the Dragons.
Gnomeregan was beign retaken and the Dark Iron Dwatves became a serious threat, although they already had their won conflict against the Black Dragonflight within Blackrock Mountain.

The Orcs rebuilded their land and the Forsaken had joined the Horde. The Trolls were driven out from the Echo Isles. The Tauren united and settled on the high rises of Thunder Bluff.
The Forsaken had conflicts against the humans of Lordaeron and developed their own plague.

The Scourge made their first move but their invasion failed and soon the Dark Portal had been opened once again.
The Blood Elves joined the Horde, the Forsaken had invited them. The Draenei had crashlanded on Azeroth after escaping Draenor and joined the Alliance.

In Outland, the Orcs found their roots - the uncorrupted Mag'har. Even Thrall and his mentor Drak'thar visited Outland and the Mag'har. The Legion was besieging Outland but the demonic gates were destroyed and their leader killed.
Illidan used Magtheridon to create Fel Orcs but Maghteridon was killed. The Naga drained the waters of Zangarmarsh to create a new Well of Eterntiy but Vashj was killed.
The native Arrakoa came in conflict with the Horde and the Alliance. Illidan hid within the Black Temple while the Legions Doomwalker pounded his gates.

Kael'thas had betrayed the Blood Elves. Outland was no paradise. Kael'thas was killed but had been corrupted by Demons, and was raised by them. Illidan was later betrayed by Akama and Maiev. Maiev executed him and then ran off.

Kael'thas and his Sunfury returned to Azeroth on the Sunwell isle of Quel'danas. There he used nether energies to ignite the Sunwell. Kil'jaedan would be summoned to Azeroth.
However, the Shattred Sun Offensive joint faction pushed him back in the Sunwell.

Then the Scourge attacked and the King of Stormwind had returned. The Sunwell had been restored from the heart of M'uru, a Naaru. The Blood Elves were no longer addicted to magic and redeemed.

And now the Alliiance and the Horde fights the Lich King aswell as other forces in Northrend.

And now im tired of writing this over 2 hours but this is a short summary of the events you described in your post.
Most of this lore has been created in WoW.

Quote:

There are three types of elves in the Warcraft universe. The High Elves have existed since Warcraft 1. The Night Elves since a book 2001-2002. The Blood Elves since Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. None of these have been created in WoW.

The volcano you mention is Blackrock Mountain and it has existed in the lore since Warcraft 1.
The Elves had nothing to do with the Blackrock Mountain. The Volcano was created when Ragnaros was summoned and has only erupted one, destroying two thirds of Khaz-Modan. The backstory of the Mountain was created in WoW.
The only way to be completly invisble in WoW is to drink a potion or be a Mage. Both of these existed in Warcraft 3.

You do not have control of these forums. Yes, im very angry today for some reason.
Why is Azshara a traitor? She has not betrayed anyone. Sylvanas has not betrayed anyone and they do not have a poweful empire. Draenei are not traitors and do not have a powerful empire. The orcs are not traitors.

And yes, Muradin is alive. He didnt die, he just passed out. Then the a new group of dwarves found him and he became leader over them. He lost his memory, but has regained it back now and we will encounter him in the final stages against the Lich King and the Scourge.

Muradin was brought back because Blizzard still cares for people who love Warcraft 3 etc. But also to add quests lol.

Not even Mal'ganis died... and that was lame.

And wasn't azshara a night elf? Bah, don't tell me.

Arthas and the lich King merged, Matthias Lehner is Arthas last piece of good and humanity. Matthias Lehner is the last good piece of Arthas, not a different person.

It made sense to this point.
Why would the Forsaken join the Horde? They got no reason to do so, however they got a reason to ally the Belfs. Simple, gameplay. The night elfs are holed up on Hordes continent, which means Horde would need somebody holed up in Alliances continent.

The Draenei crashing onto Azenroth? Plot bending again.

And the scourge "just does not fail", if they invade somewhere the population should start screaming and praying. Thats because of the way they use Necromancy.
What actually stopped their advance in the past was:
*the Legion dragged them to raid the World Tree
*the weakening of the Lich King, because their army of doom then turned against them

Illiaden did not need Magtheridon, nor did he need the Fel Orcs. He needed a army of doom so he could re-attempt to raid Northend. He had 6 years to drag his ass back to Outland after being defeated by Arthas, and regather an army. How could he not have succeded? He would not sit there 6 years and bleed. He is far to capabel.
Vashj, not that easy to kill.

And you do not just get "corrupted by demons", it requires quite the thing. And Kael is more than that. If we drag out that part, there is random breaktrough towards the Sunwell, which makes that one not mak any sense. But how Kil'Jaden was banished made sense.

Unless the entire fortress turned against Illiaden, Maiev would not have stood a chance. Add on that we miss lore on the spot.
Add on that the bloodelfs already had a cure for their addiction, gigantic magic sources that they drain.

Then the Wrath of the Lingking expansion is a chapter of itself.
