I wasn't too impressed with Ultron though, this flick looks like it'll be something different.
And seeing as how Batman vs Superman premiere is right around the corner, I notice that both Marvel and DC are putting out movies with the theme of the heroes fighting each other around the same time... interesting.

I have a genuine curiosity: do any of you really enjoy that crap? Is your attention stolen so easily by a bunch of explosions and CGI? Because to me this is the kind of nagging and pretentious american bullsnow that doesn't even let you sleep in the cinema.

First of all, watch your tone
Ok, so. Action flicks. Why do people enjoy them? Short answer is cool stuff happens! Whether that be huge explosions, gunfights, car-chases or giant robots doesn't matter. Cool stuff is going on.
Naturally, it's not all cool stuff. There's a reason some stuff is remembered and beloved more than others and it has nothing to do with budget (does anyone remember Lone ranger?) but rather general quality of said "cool stuff" (among the usual "good writing" etc).
Let's look at Pacific Rim, A movie completely defined by its "cool stuff". Pacific rim can be summed up in a single sentence: HUGE ROBOTS FIGHTING HUGE MONSTERS! That's it. That's the entire point. Huge robots fighting huge monsters and that is AWESOME! simple, precise and cool. Simplicity is key for any movie that wants mass-appeal but that does not mean it's stupid or stops it from being of good quality.
So what makes Pacific Rim a fantastic film? There is the simple concept but that's not enough to hold an entire movie. Pacific Rim also has interesting characters, gorgeous visuals and aesthetics, Great soundtrack, fun writing as well as fantastic action. The more individual parts you get right the better the chance of getting a good movie. That's not to say you have to nail everything: Avatar is a great film due to almost exclusively its action and visuals. Sure, the story and characters are not that interesting but they don't have to be. Visuals and the awe of the world can holds it up on their own.
Back to pacific Rim. Sure, you could say it's "just giant robots fighting giant monsters" and you wouldn't be wrong. But is that bad? Where else am I going to get Giant monsters fighting giant robots that also looks great, makes the act important and high-scale and makes me care through believable characters? And that's not even scratching the surface of stuff like angles, timing, characterization etc. There is a lot more to action flicks than quick explosions. It's not what explosions, it's how they explode, if you will
How does this sit with the Marvel stuff? what is the draw there? Characters. The draw of the Marvel cinematic universe is all about the characters. Cpt. America is not just "america personified". He is the Ideals and beliefs america SHOULD stand for. Sure, he is pretty much a goodie-two-shoes boy-scout. What happens if we also make that guy the peak of the human condition and puts him against crazy Nazi's? NOW put him against a norse god and an alien army but have him team up with a narcissistic, super smart billionaire, The god of thunder and a scientist with serious anger issues. The Avengers is just as much about the character interaction as it is about them trying to stop Loki and that's not even getting into the individual movies and stuff.
Have a video on the subject while we're at it!

I have to agree with you. I'm about as sick as I can be of Marvel superhero movies. How long can they keep milking this cash cow?
(I did very much enjoy Pacific Rim.)

Considering Deadpool already made over $600,000,000 worlwide, a lot, for a long time.
It's not just Marvel though, WB, Fox and Sony are making a lot of these too.
