Re deadpool, even though I saw it last saturday I find myself thinking about and laughing at lines in the movie at random times.  Also, after reading this article about the movie's budget restrictions I appreciate it even more now.

A vid on all the easter eggs and references.

Deadpool is my hero They had me at the starting credits. It is unbelievable this movie even was made, much less keeping the spirit of deadpool. They managed wonderfully within the budget they got and it seems the sequel will also work within a limited budget. I can't say that I mind

Today I watched "Hail, Caesar!" Overall, it is a decent movie but there is one aspect of it that surprised me in a positive way - Alden Ehrenreich's performance. He was my favourite aspect of the film. A lovable and quite intelligent smoothtalker and ententainer with a complete lack of ability to do accents. With him being rumoured to be one of candidates for young Han Solo role, I am certainly rooting for him in that competition.

Trumbo was a fine movie. Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad's Walter White) plays Dalton Trumbo, a very gifted screenwriter (he wrote classics such as Roman Holiday, Exodus, Spartacus) who was one of the Hollywood Ten, blacklisted for being a communist in the McCarthy era. The film successfully describes the witch hunting atmosphere of the post-WWII cold war times in the US and how it affected the lives of many people without shifting to melodrama, yet delivering us the emotion. Bryan Cranston's acting is superb, Helen Miller and Michael Stuhlbarg also fit in perfectly. Also, the guy playing Kirk Douglas was as Kirk Douglas as Jamie Fox was Ray Charles.

Trumbo isn't portrayed as just a martyr, btw, which would have been the easy and two-dimensional road to take. You realize that a lot of the times, the struggle was about his own ego. Still, in the end, you feel like you watched the story of a decent man.

watched zoolander 2. horrible movie; was only funny in a couple parts.

SPOILER:

on the plus side, ariana grande shows her asscheeks, and puts a ballgag in her mouth before going off-screen after an interrupted orgy scene(that didn't get a chance to get the least bit dirty).

I've seen Deadpool too. An enjoyable movie, quite good in terms of being a comedy, but I wasn't blown away by it like some other people.

Deadpool was great. Fun plot, origin story, characters, good action and plenty of comedy from the title character.

10 min long supes v batfleck supercut.  I think it's really funny that we live in a time when you can see 6-8% of a movie before it even comes out

looks like it kind of falls apart in the middle...

Watched Deadpool yesterday. It was a lot of fun, the movie is certainly a great introduction of the character and a solid stance for R-rated movies.

My only gripes with it are the over-simplistic plot (it was too simple, too litle), which lead to a short film, leaving me with the desire of more. Plus the heavy use of flashbacks diminished the highway scene.
That, and that I felt they overdid all the humour/references. Seeing him making fun of himself once is nice, but every 10 minutes? ewwww.

Still an enjoyable film though.

Pretty much the same sentiment as Storm Giant. Was a fun movie to watch, raw and black humor. The way the highway scene was mixed up with flashbacks all the time gave a bit of an odd sensation for your feeling of time within the movie; by the time the movie was building up to the climax, I felt like it had hardly begun - but it had been running for almost 1,5 hours already. Still not sure if that was a good or bad thing, though .

It would have been longer and had more action scenes if it had had bigger budget. 20th Century Fox gave for it only 50 million $. I believe that cutting the car chase scene was in fact a clever move. Since that sequence was presented in pieces, it seemed longer than it truly is. Altogether, there is about 15 minutes of action in Deadpool and if the movie was put together in a chronological order, it would be less thrilling than it is right now.

Also, on Thursday I saw "The Hateful Eight." A good, albeit a bit safe, Tarantino movie.

I see Deadpool is the star now (didn't watch it), but I've watched Zootopia/Zootropolis instead. And it's fantastic! Fantastic graphics and art, great ideas, a nicely put together plot, warmth, laugh (for instance they've made a great Breaking Bad parody) and it passes on a meaningful message. No wonder critics say it's one of the best Disney movies in years...

Plus furry lovers will probably **** in their pants (and no, I don't have anything against "talking animals" ).
