Steve Martin is a vampire. He never ages.

Love that movie. I haven't seen since I was a teenager.

That's the running joke of the Stephen King book based movies, is that nearly all of them suck the big one.

I'm just not sure how you cram seven (or eight if you include the most recent one) big novels into a single movie. I guess it's supposed to be a sequel of sorts to the last novel, but given the nature of the ending of the series (or beginning, as it were) I'm not sure what a sequel really means.

The only Stephen King books I read were It and Needful Things. "It" was okay but nothing  special both as a book and a movie. Needful Things was lovely to read but the movie sucked. Pet Cemetery was a big deal among horror fans when I was in high school but I think it's mediocre at best. Then there was this movie with those huge American trucks coming to life and trying to kill people, as a popcorn B-movie, that didnt suck either. The acutal King movie I like is the Green Mile though, can't compare it to the book though, havent read it.

Couldn't watch it till the end, was the second movie this month I leaved the movie theater before the end. Don't know, it sounded so dull and uninspired and can't get why SJ is so over rated.

Right now enjoying a lot "Analyze This" with De Niro and Crystal on streaming.

Don't know about Ghost in the Shell but SJ has that special aura and she's also one of those women who's sexy not only because she's beautiful but has a certain vibe about her. If you want to see her in a quality movie, I'd suggest Woody Allen's Match Point or Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation.

Air was a pretty interesting one. Watched it with my dad and we were kinda divided on who was more right to act the way they did given the circumstances.

don't forget "the shining". that movie's actually better than the book. "green mile", "the shining", and "shawshank redemption" are all books by king that are great movies.

as far as "it", the only thing that makes that movie watchable is tim curry playing "it". "maximum overdrive" is the movie you're referring to with the killer electronics/vehicles. that was my favorite childhood movie, next to "the goonies".

@fred

Looks like you're a fan! Yes, both the Shining and Shawshank Redemption are really good movies. First one slipped my mind but I didn't know Shawshank Redemption was actually a King adaptation, it's one of the best prison movies ever.

i watched star wars episode 1 for the first time, all the way through(before i'd only seen bits and pieces of all 3 of the "early" ones). aside from the horrible cgi and horrible characters, it's a pretty good movie.

i'm watching episode 2 next(also for the first time). i actually started watching it, and remembered more of what i disliked about the 2nd two movies(from what i've seen of them): the actor who portrayed younger anakin. snowing horrible. whoever cast that turd desperately needs a ride on my rocket catapult. i can almost see ewan mcgregor downplaying his own acting to match that bozo, just so he doesn't outright ruin the movie by stark contrast.

I want to watch Dunkirk again. Some movies are just made to be watched on a massive screen.

Nolan's style fit perfectly with that movie.
