Here are my opening games!
Game #1
Michi69 (Dungeon, Kythra) vs LordMichal (Inferno, Marbas) 0:1
This game was definitely the most even and interesting one. My units used their morale and luck very often, so the battle was appearing to be a dream for me. Moreover, Kythra possessed very strong casts.
So everything was absolutely great until my dear rival used the Counterspell skill. And then my lack of experience disclosed, I could not cope with it. Although I had substantial advantage, 2 critical mistakes turned this game into a nightmare.
I strongly recommend this replay, it's certainly worth watching even for you guys.
Game #2
Michi69 (Necropolis, Nikolai) vs LordMichal (Dungeon, Sinitar) 0:1
Very one-sided game, easy win for LordMichal. I couldn't fight with his Warlock's Luck combined with Master of Ice and high power of magic.
Game #3
Michi69 (Inferno, Biara) vs LordMichal (Fortress, Erling) 1:0
This time my only advantages were Excruciating Strike and Swift Gating combined with Swarming Gate. Although the battlefield was rather easy to defence for dwarfs, I managed to win it quite easily.
Final score: Michi69 vs LordMichal 1:2

As expected he thrashed me so bad I'll be feeling it till next week. Neither of us remembered replays, but since they were sad...it is a good thing  . On the plus side, learned about the green portal to the artifact area. <---is a N00b
Next up is Jinxer...at least I can say I am playing some of the best. Can learn a lot from all these horrible horrible thrashings.

Jinxer vs Mytical
Inferno vs Necro - No mana, and it was over before it began
Fortress vs Sylvan - Runes thrashed me soundly, might have been different if I had gotten offered light magic..but no such luck.
Fortress vs Haven - Went wrong way with Vit, it was a slaughter again.
Learning a lot, but still making many mistakes. They blame the matchups, but 12 matches and 0 wins means lack of skill. I'll get there tho. Thanks for the matches
As it should be obvious I lost 3-0. Again.

Mytical Summed it up pretty good.
For the record.. in both games that I was Fortress.. I used runes on every unit every turn they got the entire battle.. and never ran out. I know we have been over this already.. just still seems as if limiting some towns specials and not limiting fortress is a bit unbalanced.
Anyways.. worked in my favor. Poor Mytical didnt have a chance.

How very fitting indeed. Come on Jinxer don't be like this. It's not fair to say that Fortress isn't limited. It is limited. Don't know exactly what I could show you to back it up that you'd actually be content with but we'll see.

Match-ups were :
Inferno vs Haven
Orcs vs Dwarfs
Razzak @ Academy vs Orcs
Not much to say, except I got huge stats(over 30 att+def) in 1st and 2nd, and in the last I had the mighty Razzak!

Why is it that I am not allowed to post an opinion with out an all out flaming retaliation. Again no where in my post did I say.. " This needs changed" etc.. I am merely keeping tabs now.. Elvin keeps telling me that I cannot judge the balance of some towns based on 1 or 2 games.. And I agree with that concept.. So I was merely giving a recount of my newest Fortress experience. I am playing more and more games. And I merely was reporting that soo far I havent seen the brilliance in these so called Balances.. But again.. maybe I will as the games pile up.
So step off and leave the flaming and attacking out of the thread.
And how can I be frustrated? I won both the games Just felt dirty to take advantage of Mytical so horribly like that. If Mytical could have Trained more paladins.. then I am sure he could have gave me a fight. My first Fortress game.. I had NO etherless and NO res rune.. but didnt need them.. Battle Rage-Bezzerking-thunderclap over and over and over was more then enough. And forgot to mention that I fought the entire first battle with ZERO ThunderThanes.. He killed them first shot before I could use them.. So ME PERSONALLY.. my OPINION is that.. The fact that Fortress can win without any level 6's means that they are not nerfed very much. And ofcourse I didnt win because of my Arena Skills.. cause as you all point out.. I have none. But I am learning..

No but you won because of Mysty's lack of skills Did you seriously expect to lose from a person that barely plays heroes while you have a few hundred ones online? Only with bad luck.

Sorry Jinxer I didn't expect you to take this serious... It's just that to me you complain a lot about basically everything that's not like you would like it to be or makes you lose and I had a hard time keeping quite over that for this long, especially when I know that you're not being fair towards the map. I'll make sure I won't let you know in the future.

I still think it was lack of skill on my part then the runes . Had some interesting/weird luck in my matches. Like getting offered mass slow/confusion in one match I was necro (forget vs who) but no slow spell at all. In my haven match vs fortress I had 6 morale and empathy but morale didn't really kick in that much so it didn't do much good. Had no mass haste, and was never offered it even after 10+ attempts with the mentor on that one.
If we had managed to make replays other could have made their own conclusions, but I have a terrible time remembering to make them.

Read more closely.. I WON all 3 games.. So obviously I dont complain just when I lose.. I wouldnt concider this conplaining. I just like to voice my OPINIONS which is what this board is about.. But Since my opinions are usually different then the few people who actually post here.. its easy to call the differing opinion... complaining. Altho.. not appropriate.

And yes... Elvin.. with the current design.. even a newbie can get all the luck vs. none from other guy and beat a veteran.
After all I beat you 2 outta 3 games.. and I am an Arena Newbie and your Arena Veteran! So doesnt take rocket science.. just takes luck.

Guess Im pretty unlucky then, since I lost all my Fortress games so far. But Im not only an arena newbie, Im a multiplayer total newbie.
EDIT: By the way: I just noticed that my games against Larry are not marked on the board. Again, it was 3-0, for him of course. I will try to remember to post the saves when I get home.

I agree with Jinxer, 7 paladins trained seems too few, ... Haven't got a chance to play them in the current version though, but in previous versions Dwarfs seemed on top of Haven.
Of course, there is the other side of the story, with orcs murdering the dwarfs, but that is just an exception. Looking forward to some Dungeon/Haven/Dwarf games in current version, to see how things go.
Ps : On the positive side, I am able to finish my configurations really fast, I guess that is what Elvin intended with some simplifications.
