I deleted everything and reinstalled TotE last week, with the patch.
I want to make sure I have it right this time so:
Here is what I see for downloads on the first page of the thread:

Going by this, I really only need to download this:
"RTMG 1.5.5 English version" right?
The other 3 downloads are strictly option, if you want different creatures. Is this correct?
And if I do want them, I need them all, right?
I still find the install process is not totally clear to me.

Right.
If you don't use these MODs then never check their cases in RTMG.

Here is a question, how are the names and descriptions for units imported on installation? I have been trying to get back the ones I used for the older build through multiple ways, including overriding the megapack english text folder, but none seem to work.

Everything works perfect here now with using the NCF megapack.
The maps are awesome 
I'm now adding the extra Dwellings pack for further testing and got the following error :
Run time error 3075
Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'towntype = "TOWN_PRESERVE" and chk = true and val not in (,5)'.
Looks like a SQL syntax error related to the Dwellings Pack .

Hi Simonak,
I have a question since reading all this bug testing etc.
My current framework for my mod that adds might, magic and balanced classes to the game is based on NCF framework 3.1. Are there any changes that need to be made to this framework to make it compatible with RTMG 1.5.5?
EDIT: more questions
Allright now I found the rtmg.pak but I do have some other questions about it:
Why does the RTMG.pak contain all xdb.'s for the original creatures, this will conflict with a lot of mods?
Why are there so many changes to names and descriptions included in rtmg.pak?

ok....
I will see what is your bug Morphem....surely easy to fix....
rockgirl, your NCF dwelling is invisible....give your map and your RTMG.pak!
magnomagus...once these bugs fixed I will reply your questions...
Troggyman, unfortunaly, version 1.5.5 doesn't care of files from version 1.5....
but you can take a chance by crushing NEWAMO.dat by your own NEWAMO.dat from version 1.5 ....then saving all....
but perhaps that will crash caused by wrong NEWAMO version...

Hi Simonak...i will give u a map immediate but please help me now with this problem: if i save a game and after want to load it my game crash..(((...i try it with more maps and is same crash when loading.( what can i do?

but if after i save game and try to reload and my game crashed now i cant reload that game after restart the game.
edit: i want to say ,i played many random maps but never see one like this,with a big lake in middle of my zone ground...is an amazing map

then that is probably caused by your dwelling bug....
this bug is fatal...I must fix it today.
the source is known now.

i will try now to save,quit and reload ...never happened from now this crash when i want to reload a game, because this i never quited after save.
sorry for bother u with all this bugs...i very like your RTMG because this i am so...present here )
